| 1 | Physiological characteristics and commercial application of edible mushroom dietary fiber显示文摘Edible mushrooms are considered as healthy food because they are low in calories and fat but rich in proteins minerals and dietary fiber(DF). Edible mushrooms are recognized as new potential resource of DF since the components of edible mushroom dietary fiber(EMDF) have shown special physiological and pharmacological effects on human and animals. In this article, the soluble and insoluble fractions of DF in different edible mushroom species have been evaluated. Biological effects of EMDF are related to promoting desired responses, for example, reducing blood cholesterol, protecting cells from free radicals attack by antioxidative effects, attenuating levels and fluctuations of blood glucose and selectively supporting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. The EMDF plays an important role in reducing risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and intestinal diseases. The non-starch polysaccharides(NSP),a kind of EMDF,is the best known and most potent mushroom-derived substances with antitumor and immunomodulatory properties. EMDF has also been reported to take part in the control of body weight, lipid homeostasis and insulin sensitivity due to its effect on specific chemical structures and physical properties. Many pharmaceutical substances with potent and unique health- enhancing properties were isolated recently from edible mushrooms and distributed worldwide. Mushroom-based dietary supplements(DSs) with potential therapeutic effects are produced from the mycelia or the fruiting bodies of mushrooms, and are consumed in the forms of capsules, tablets,or extracts. The EMDF, based on its special physiological functions on human health, shows a wide range of potential application prospects. | Zhang Chenju Xu Chunhua Yu Xiaobing Zheng Huihua Chen Hui | 2014 | Engineering Sciences2014,12,1: | 4 |

| 4 | New insights into the immunologic role of oligodendrocyte lineage cells in demyelination diseases显示文摘Oligodendrocyte lineage cells(OL-lineage cells)are a cell population that are crucial for mammalian central nervous system(CNS)myelination.OL-lineage cells go through developmental stages, initially differentiating into oligodendrocyte precursor cells(OPCs),before becoming immature oligodendrocytes, then mature oligodendrocytes(OLs).While the main function of cell lineage is in myelin formation, and increasing number of studies have turned to explore the immunological characteristics of these cells.Initially, these studies focused on discovering how OPCs and OLs are affected by the immune system, and then, how these immunological changes influence the myelination process. However, recent studies have uncovered another feature of OL-lineage cells in our immune systems. It would appear that OL-lineage cells also express immunological factors such as cytokines and chemokines in response to immune activation, and the expression of these factors changes under various pathologic conditions.Evidence suggests that OL-lineage cells actually modulate immune functions.Indeed,OL-lineage cells appear to play both'victim'and'agent'in the CNS which raises a number of questions. Here,we summarize immunologic changes in OL-lineage cells and their effects,as well as consider OL-lineage cell changes which influence immune cells under pathological conditions. We also describe some of the underlying mechanisms of these changes and their effects. Finally,we describe several studies which use OL-lineage cells as immunotherapeutic targets for demyelination diseases. | Hui Li Yang Chen Jianqin Niu Chenju Yi | 2022 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2022,36,5: | 2 |
| 5 | The influence of diabetes mellitus on the procedural and in-hospital outcomes after elective percutaneous coronary intervention显示文摘Approximately 15%-20% of the patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedure complicate with diabetes and this patient population continues to be a particular challenge for both the interventional cardiologist and the cardiac surgeon.1 It is well documented that diabetes is associated with more diffuse and severe coronary atherosclerosis. Long-term outcome after PCI is clearly worse in diabetics compared with non-diabetics.2 However, there is little information on the procedural and in-hospital outcomes of elective PCI in diabetic patients. In this study we analyzed the practice and in-hospital outcomes in a large series of consecutively treated patients with and without diabetes who underwent elective PCI. | LIChong-jian GAORun-lin YANGYue-jin CHENJi-lin QINXue-wen XUBo QIAOShu-bin YUANJin-qing WUYong-jian LIUHai-bo YAOMin CHENJue DAIJun CHENZai-jia | 2005 | Chinese Medical Journal2005,,14: | 2 |

| 12 | Optimization of enzyme assisted extraction of polysaccharides from Ganoderma lucidum显示文摘In the present work,an enzyme assisted extraction method is used to isolate crude polysaccharides from Ganoderma lucidum. The isolating effect was optimized with orthographic graph statistic method with three levels and four independent variables. Complex enzyme, extraction temperature, extraction time and extraction pH were combined to obtain the best possible combination to get maximum amount of extract and crude polysaccharides yield. The optimum extraction conditions were:complex enzyme amount of 3 %(w/v),extraction temperature at 45 ℃,extraction time of 3 h and extraction pH at 7. Under these conditions, the experimental amount of extract is 8.9 % and the yield of crude polysaccharides is 1.1 %,which are in close agreement with the value predicted by the model. | Xu Chunhua Tian Zhenle Zhang Chenju Yu Xiaobing Zheng Huihua | 2014 | Engineering Sciences2014,12,1: | 1 |
