| 1 | Different properties of GaN-based LED grown on Si(111) and transferred onto new substrate显示文摘InGaN MQW LEDs, grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) on Si(111) substrates, were successfully bonded and transferred onto new Si substrate. After chemical etching Si(111) substrate and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching the transferred LED film to Si-doped layer, a vertical structure GaN blue LEDs were then fabricated. The characteristics of the lateral structure LED (grown on Si) and the vertical structure LED (bonded on Si) were investigated. | 3 | Therapies for children with cerebral palsy A Web of Science-based literature analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify global research trends in three therapies for children with cerebral palsy. DATA RETRIEVAL: We performed a bibliometric analysis of studies on therapies for children with cerebral palsy from 2002 to 2011 retrieved from Web of Science. SELECTION CRITERIA: Inclusion criteria: (a) peer-reviewed published articles on botulinum toxin, constraint-induced movement therapy, or acupuncture for children with cerebral palsy indexed in Web of Science; (b) original research articles, reviews, meeting abstracts, proceedings papers, book chapters, editorial material, and news items; and (c) publication between 2002 and 2011. Exclusion criteria: (a) articles that required manual searching or telephone access; (b) documents that were not published in the public domain; and (c) a number of corrected papers from the total number of articles. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Number of publications on the three therapies; (2) annual publication output, distribution by journals, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on botulinum toxin; (3) annual publication output, distribution by journal, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on constraint-induced movement therapy; (4) annual publication, distribution by journal, distribution by institution, and top-cited articles on acupuncture. RESULTS: This analysis, based on Web of Science articles, identified several research trends in studies published over the past 10 years of three therapies for children with cerebral palsy. More articles on botulinum toxin for treating children with cerebral palsy were published than the articles regarding constraint-induced movement therapy or acupuncture. The numbers of publications increased over the 10-year study period. Most papers appeared in journals with a focus on neurology, such as Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology and Journal of Child Neurology.Research institutes publishing on botulinum toxin treatments for this population are mostly in the Netherlands, the United States of America, and Australia; those publishing on constraint-induced movement therapy are mostly in Australia and the United States of America; and those publishing on acupuncture are mostly in China, Sweden and the United States of America.CONCLUSION: Analysis of literature and research trends indicated that there was no one specific therapy to cure cerebral palsy. | 5 | Physicochemical properties and biological activities of polysaccharides from the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.extracted by four different methods显示文摘Polysaccharides are the important biologically active components found in the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.(DTTP).The influences of 4 extraction methods,namely hot water extraction(W),acidic extraction(HA),hot-compressed water extraction(HCW)and enzyme-assisted extraction(EAE),on the yields,physicochemical properties,hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities of polysaccharides from DTTP were studied and compared.Among these DTTP polysaccharides,DTTP-HA was outstanding in several respects.DTTP-HA was the most water soluble;it had the highest total carbohydrate content(85.08%),the highest uronic acid(13.20%)and the highest thermal stability.DTTP-HA and DTTP-W possessed a triple-helix structure.These 4 kinds of polysaccharides have the same types of monosaccharides,but in different molar percentages.Extraction method had a significant impact on the microstructures of the extracted polysaccharides.DTT-HA exhibited irregular structure with many holes.Among the 4 extracted methods,the DTTP-HA and DTTP-W initially exhibited higher hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities.The better bioactivities of DTTP-HA may be related to the above factors.The findings indicated that acid extraction is an effective method to extract polysaccharides with high biological activities from DTTP. | Zuowei Zhao Li Wang Yuan Ruan Chunnan Wen Menghuan Ge Yanyan Qian Bingji Ma | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1: | 1 |

| 12 | Magnetic Resonance Imaging and DWI Features of Orbital Rhabdomyosarcoma显示文摘Purpose: To describe the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)features of orbital rhabdomyosarcoma(RMS).Methods: Thirty-nine patients with histopathologically confirmed orbital RMS were retrospectively reviewed. All patients underwent orbital conventional MRI, including axial, sagittal,and coronal T1-weighted, T2-weighted, and postcontrast T1-weighted sequences. The location, shape, margin, and MRI signal of the 39 lesions were reviewed. DWI in 15 patients and susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI) in 2 patients were also analyzed.Results: Orbital MRI was available in 39 patients and revealed a soft tissue mass in the orbital region in all cases. Of the 39 patients, the primary tumor sites were limited to the orbital proper in 31 cases, while 28 cases had extraocular muscle invasion and 8 cases had extraorbital invasion. All lesions were unilateral. Thirty-three cases were well-defined soft tissue masses and 6 cases appeared as less well-defined softtissue masses. Thirty-four cases showed homogeneous isointense or slightly hypointense signals on T1-weighted imaging(T1WI) and hyperintense signal on T2-weighted imaging(T2WI) compared with extraocular muscles. Five cases had heterogeneous signals with focal areas of increased signal on T1WI or decreased signal on T2WI, including 1 case with hypointense signal on SWI. The mean apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) value of the viable part of tumors was(0.925±0.09)×10-3mm2/ s. All cases showed moderate to marked enhancement after contrast administration.Conclusion: Several MRI features-including homogeneous isointense or slightly hypointense signal on T1WI and slightly hyperintense signal on T2WI, relative low ADC values, and moderate to marked enhancement, extraocular muscles invasion, and extraorbital extensionare helpful in the diagnosis of orbital RMS. | Xuetao Mu Hong Wang Yueyue Li Yuwen Hao Chunnan Wu Lin Ma | 2014 | Eye Science2014,29,1: | 0 |

| 14 | Aerosol transmission,an indispensable route of COVID-19 spread:case study of a department-store cluster显示文摘Patients with COVID-19 have revealed a massive outbreak around the world,leading to widespread concerns in global scope.Figuring out the transmission route of COVID-19 is necessary to control further spread.We analyzed the data of 43 patients in Baodi Department Store(China)to supplement the transmission route and epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 in a cluster outbreak.Incubation median was estimated to endure 5.95 days(2-13 days).Almost 76.3%of patients sought medical attention immediately upon illness onset.The median period of illness onset to hospitalization and confirmation were 3.96 days(0-14)and 5.58 days(1-21),respectively.Patients with different cluster case could demonstrate unique epidemiological characteristics due to the particularity of outbreak sites.SRAS-CoV-2 can be released into the surrounding air through patient's respiratory tract activities,and can exist for a long time for long-distance transportation.SRAS-CoV-2 RNA can be detected in aerosol in different sites,including isolation ward,general ward,outdoor,toilet,hallway,and crowded public area.Environmental factors influencing were analyzed and indicated that the SARS-CoV-2 transportation in aerosol was dependent on temperature,air humidity,ventilation rate and inactivating chemicals(ozone)content.As for the infection route of case numbers 2 to 6,10,13,16,17,18,20 and 23,we believe that aerosol transmission played a significant role in analyzing their exposure history and environmental conditions in Baodi Department Store.Aerosol transmission could occur in some cluster cases when the environmental factors are suitable,and it is an indispensable route of COVID-19 spread. | Guanyu Jiang Can Wang Lu Song Xing Wang Yangyang Zhou Chunnan Fei He Liu | 2021 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,3: | 0 |
