1Separation of chalcopyrite and pyrite from a copper tailing by ammonium humate显示文摘Copper tailings constitute a large proportion of mine wastes. Some of the copper tailings can be recycled to recover valuable minerals. In this paper, a copper tailing was studied through the chemical analysis method, Xray diffraction and scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrum. It turned out that chalcopyrite(Cu) and pyrite(S) were the main recoverable minerals in the tailing. In order to separate chalcopyrite from pyrite in low pulp pH, ammonium humate(AH) was singled out as the effective regulator. The depression mechanism of AH on the flotation of pyrite was proved by FTIR spectrum and XPS spectrum, demonstrating that there was a chemical adsorption between AH and pyrite. By Response Surface Methodology(RSM), the interaction between AH, pulp pH and iso-butyl ethionine(Z200) was discussed. It was illustrated that the optimal dosage of AH was 1678 g·t^(-1) involving both the recovery of Cu and S. 4Characterization of Swirling Inflow Effects on Turbine Performance under Pulsating Flows显示文摘The present study focuses on the influence of the swirling flows on flow behaviors and performance of a radial-flow turbocharger turbine under pulsating inflow condition.To characterize the effects of swirling flow,three sets of simulations of the turbine were carried out,which are an unsteady simulation under pulsating swirling inflow,an unsteady simulation under equivalent pulsating uniform inflow,and quasi-steady simulations under uniform inflow.Results proved that swirling flow has a considerable negative influence on turbine instantaneous performance and lead to 2.5%cycle-averaged efficiency reduction under pulsating flow condition.Swirling inflow would lead to significant losses in both the volute and the rotor,while the pulsating inflow leads to higher losses in the rotor and shows little influence on the losses in the volute.The instantaneous efficiency reduction of the turbine could be correlated with the time-varying inlet swirl strength.Under the influence of unsteady inlet swirls,the volute flow field is highly distorted and the free vortex relation is no longer valid.The swirling flow has strong interactions with the wake flow of the volute tongue,leading to additional losses.Relative flow angle at rotor inlet is remarkably reduced and its distribution is significantly distorted.Strong separation flows and passage vortices would appear in the rotor because of the swirling inflow,leading to inferior rotor performance.DING Zhanming WANG Cuicui ZHANG Junyue LIU Ying HOU Linlin ZHUGE Weilin ZHANG Yangjun 2022Journal of Thermal Science2022,31,5:0
5NIR-responsive Collagen-based Sponge Coated with Polydimethylsiloxane/Candle Soot for Oil-Water Separation显示文摘To fabricate an oil-water separation material that is rich in source,eco-friendly,and responsive,in this study,we successfully developed a collagen-based sponge for application to oil-water separation based on a green and facile strategy.In this design,widely-available collagen(COL)was used as the substrate:it was immersed in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)suspension with candle soot(CS)nanoparticles,followed by hot curing.The resultant sponge(CS/PDMS-COL)possessed good hydrophobicity with a water contact angle of 148.3°under a low PDMS concentration of 2%.The results from field emission scanning electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,X-ray photoelectron spectrometer,and X-ray diffractometry demonstrated the successful coating of CS and PDMS on the surface of COL substrate.The CS/PDMS-COL can adsorb eight oils,with the adsorption capacity for trichloromethane reaching 95 g/g.With benzene as the target adsorbent,the separation efficiency was maintained at no less than 95%even after recycling 20 times.CS/PDMS-COL was also used to separate oil-in-water emulsion.Moreover,the sponge killed bacteria effectively due to its excellent near-infrared photothermal responsiveness.This study provides new insight into the preparation of facile oil-water separation materials based on naturally occurring biomaterials effortlessly.Min Zhang Chenchen Guo Yu Wang Yunlong Zhang Hui Wu Liulian Huang Yonghao Ni Cuicui Ding Lihui Chen 2022Paper And Biomaterials2022,7,3:0
6Targeting angiogenesis for fracture nonunion treatment in inflammatory disease显示文摘Atrophic fracture nonunion poses a significant clinical problem with limited therapeutic interventions.In this study,we developed a unique nonunion model with high clinical relevance using serum transfer-induced rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Arthritic mice displayed fracture nonunion with the absence of fracture callus,diminished angiogenesis and fibrotic scar tissue formation leading to the failure of biomechanical properties,representing the major manifestations of atrophic nonunion in the clinic.Mechanistically,we demonstrated that the angiogenesis defect observed in RA mice was due to the downregulation of SPP1 and CXCL12 in chondrocytes,as evidenced by the restoration of angiogenesis upon SPP1 and CXCL12 treatment in vitro.In this regard,we developed a biodegradable scaffold loaded with SPP1 and CXCL12,which displayed a beneficial effect on angiogenesis and fracture repair in mice despite the presence of inflammation.Hence,these findings strongly suggest that the sustained release of SPP1 and CXCL12 represents an effective therapeutic approach to treat impaired angiogenesis and fracture nonunion under inflammatory conditions.Cuicui Wang Jun Ying Xiaolei Nie Tianhong Zhou Ding Xiao Gaurav Swarnkar Yousef Abu-Amer Jianjun Guan Jie Shen 2021Bone Research2021,9,3:0
7Lateral organic-inorganic hybrid Vis-NIR photodetectors based on GaN nanowires promoting photogenerated carriers transfer显示文摘The narrow bandgap of the low-energy near-infrared(NIR)polymer would lead to overlap between adjacent energy levels,which is a major barrier to the preparation of Vis-NIR polymer bulk hetero-junction(BHJ)photodetectors with small responsivity and photocurrent.In this study,a high-performance lateral inorganic-organic hybrid photodetector was constructed to eliminate this barrier by combining GaN nanowires(GaN-NWs)with PDPP3T:PC61BM-based BHJ.In stage one,high-quality GaN-NWs were synthesized by the catalyst-free CVD method.The mechanism for controlling GaN-NWs morphology by adjusting the NH3 flow rate was revealed.In stage two,the GaN-NWs with large electron mobility were used to accelerate the transfer of photogenerated carriers in the BHJ layer.Finally,compared with the BHJ device,the BHJ/GaN device demonstrated obvious improvements in responsivity and photocurrent at the wavelength between 400 and 1000 nm.The responsivity and photocurrent increased over 20-fold at the NIR band of 800e900 nm.Besides,owing to the energy level gradient effect,the BHJ/GaN device has a response speed of 7.8/<5.0 ms,which increases over three orders of magnitude than that of the GaN-NWs-based device(tr/tf:7.1/10.9 s).Therefore,the novel device structure proposed in this work holds great potential for preparing high-performance Vis-NIR photodetectors.Tao Han Zexin Wu Zhilong Deng Xiaofeng Zhang Sidi Yang Cuicui Chen Jiajia Zhu Shufang Ding Chunzhi Jiang 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,4:0

9Survey on Changes in the Willingness to Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine Among Patients with Breast Cancer in the Postpandemic Era显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the status of and changes in the vaccination willingness of patients with breast cancer to increase the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccination rate among these patients.The first survey included patients fromthe FifthMedical Center of the PLA GeneralHospitalwho participated in the Society of ClinicalOncology Breast Cancer CommitteeNCP-02 study conducted from September 16 to December 31,2021.The second survey was conducted from December 9 to December 26,2022,for those who had not received vaccines previously.In total,266 patients completed two questionnaires.A total of 143 patients(53.8%)changed their willingness to receive the vaccination.Among them,45,who were initially unwilling to be vaccinated,changed their stance to become hesitant and 15 changed to become willing.Among those with hesitant attitudes toward vaccines,45 changed their stance to become willing,and 28 changed to become unwilling;10 patients with willing attitudes toward vaccines changed to become hesitant.Those who received surgery(odds ratio(OR),4.24;95%confidence interval(CI),1.45–12.42;P=0.01)andwho lived with older adults or children(OR,2.03;95%CI,1.13–3.62;P=0.02)were more likely to change their attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccines.This finding suggested that patients with breast cancer were cautious about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.Multiple methods should be used to promote vaccination and reduce vaccine hesitancy.Lixiao Bai Jianbin Li Ailing Yang Cuicui Ding Jiayi Li Yan Wang Liangying Li Shaohua Zhang Zefei Jiang 2023Infectious Diseases & Immunity2023,3,4:0
10Observation of liquid crystalline collagen with atomic force microscopy(AFM)显示文摘The effects of concentration and sonication on the liquid crystalline phases of collagen were investigated by several methods,especially by the atomic force microscopy(AFM).The X-ray diffraction(XRD)results revealed that the triple-helical structure of the collagen was nearly unchanged after sonication.Moreover,the differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)examinations indicated that the thermal stability of the sonicated collagen was close to that of native collagen.The AFM observations showed that collagen with a concentration of 60 mg/mL had more ordered arrays compared to that of 30 mg/mL when both samples were treated by sonication.Furthermore,the 60 mg/mL collagen solution without sonication could still form pre-cholesteric patterns,while the liquid phase could not be observed for the 30 mg/mL collagen solution under the same conditions.Generally,AFM was an effective tool for the study of the liquid crystalline phases of collagen.Min Zhang Cuicui Ding Lihui Chen Liulian Huang Junhui Yang 2016Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2016,1,3:0
