| 1 | Endoscopic Palliative Treatment for Malignant Obstructive Jaundice: A Report of 929 Cases显示文摘Objective:To review the experience with endoscopic palliative treatment for malignant obstructive jaundice (MOJ) in 929 patients. Methods:929 patients (598 males and 331 females) underwent 1215 endoscopic palliative drainages for MOJ in our hospital. Tumor obstruetion oeeurred in the distal common bile duet(CBD)(263 patients), the middle CBD (43),and the hilum(909).The mean bilirubin level was 284.3 μmol/L(range 26-810). Of the 1215 drainages, 599 were performed by stenting with plastic endoprosthesis, 385 by naso-biliary eatheterization, 167 by expandable metal stents,39 by combined drainage method,19 by tumor sphincterotomy and 6 by endoseopie fistulostomy. Results:The successful rate of endoscopic procedure was 94.3%. The jaundice symptom was improved in 81.8% of the patients with a significant reduetion of serum bilirubin in 64.7%. The complication after treatment occurred in 23 eases (2.6%), including eholangitis(23 eases), panereatitis (8 eases), and bleeding (one ease), and 3 eases were dead (0.2%).The median survival time of all patients was 14 months and life time analysis showed a life expectancy of 75.9%, 44.0% and 25.2% at 1, 2 and 3 years respectively. Conclusion:In the patients with MOJ seeondary to panereatobiliary malignancy, sueeessful endoscopic drainage provides adequate relief of biliary obstruetion and is associated with low morbidity and mortality. | 2 | A study on the genetic relations between Permian Longtan Formation coal series strata and Carlin-type gold deposits,southwestern Guizhou Province,China显示文摘A large number of the Carlin-type gold deposits occur in the Longtan Formation in southwestern Guizhou Province.The Long-tan Formation contains abundant basalt,tuff and siliceous rocks.All rocks of the Longtan Formation are enriched in gold,which were deposited in a limited platform environment in the transition zone from marine to continental.The process of sedimentation was accompanied by the eruption of Emeishan basalt and hydrothermal deposition controlled by co-sedimentary submarine deep faults in the west,which led to the formation of a peculiar gold-bearing formation with coal series strata.This formation controlled the occurrence of the Carlin-type gold deposits in southwestern Guizhou Province.In response to the remobilization of the Emei mantle plume during the Yanshanian period,As,Au and other ore-forming materials were continuously extracted by deeply circulating waters from the Emeishan basalt and coal seams,thereafter forming ore-forming hydrothermal solutions.When these elements were transported in the coal seams,large amounts of As,Au and other elements were enriched in pyrite within the coal seams,thus forming high-As coal and Carlin-type gold deposits in the Longtan Formation coal series strata. | NIE Aiguo MEI Shiquan GUAN Daiyun WU Pan ZHANG Zhuru | 2008 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2008,27,3: | 5 |
| 3 | The gravity field and crustal thickness of Venus显示文摘The gravity and topography of Venus obtained from observations of the Magellan mission, as well as the gravity and topography from our numerical mantle convection model, are discussed in this paper. We used the hypothesis that the geoid of degrees 2–40 is produced by sublithospheric mantle density anomalies that are associated with dynamical process within the mantle. We obtained the model dynamical admittance(the geoid topography ratio based on a convection model) by a numerical simulation of the Venusian mantle convection, and used it to correct the dynamical effect in the calculation of crustal thickness. After deducting the dynamical effect, the thickness of the Venusian crust is presented. The results show that the gravity and topography are strongly correlated with the Venusian mantle convection and the Venusian crust has a significant influence on the topography. The Venusian crustal thickness varies from 28 to 70 km. Ishtar Terra, and Ovda Regio and Thetis Regio in western Aphrodite Terra have the highest crustal thickness(larger than 50 km). The high topography of these areas is thought to be supported by crustal compensation and our results are consistent with the hypothesis that these areas are remnants of ancient continents. The crustal thickness in the Beta, Themis, Dione, Eistla, Bell, and Lada regiones is thin and shows less correlation with the topography, especially in the Atla and Imdr regiones in the eastern part of Aphrodite Terra. This is consistent with the hypothesis that these highlands are mainly supported by mantle plumes. | 6 | m6A-TSHub:Unveiling the Context-specific m^(6)A Methylation and m^(6)A-affecting Mutations in 23 Human Tissues显示文摘As the most pervasive epigenetic marker present on mRNAs and long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs),N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)RNA methylation has been shown to participate in essential biological processes.Recent studies have revealed the distinct patterns of m^(6)A methylome across human tissues,and a major challenge remains in elucidating the tissue-specific presence and circuitry of m^(6)A methylation.We present here a comprehensive online platform,m^(6)A-TSHub,for unveiling the context-specific m^(6)A methylation and genetic mutations that potentially regulate m^(6)A epigenetic mark.m^(6)A-TSHub consists of four core components,including(1)m^(6)A-TSDB,a comprehensive database of 184,554 functionally annotated m^(6)A sites derived from 23 human tissues and 499,369 m^(6)A sites from 25 tumor conditions,respectively;(2)m^(6)A-TSFinder,a web server for high-accuracy prediction of m^(6)A methylation sites within a specific tissue from RNA sequences,which was constructed using multi-instance deep neural networks with gated attention;(3)m^(6)ATSVar,a web server for assessing the impact of genetic variants on tissue-specific m^(6)A RNA modifications;and(4)m^(6)A-CAVar,a database of 587,983 The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)cancer mutations(derived from 27 cancer types)that were predicted to affect m^(6)A modifications in the primary tissue of cancers.The database should make a useful resource for studying the m^(6)A methylome and the genetic factors of epitranscriptome disturbance in a specific tissue(or cancer type).m^(6)A-TSHub is accessible at www.xjtlu.edu.cn/biologicalsciences/m^(6)ats. | Bowen Song Daiyun Huang Yuxin Zhang Zhen Wei Jionglong Su João Pedro de Magalhães Daniel J.Rigden Jia Meng Kunqi Chen | 2023 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4: | 1 |

| 10 | Cytocompatibility of Highly Dispersed Nano Hydroxyapatite Sol显示文摘Nano hydroxyapatite (HA) crystals were prepared and dispersed in water to form HA sol by simple methods. The cytotoxicity of the sols were tested by MTT assay and lymphocytotoxicity test. Results show that the average secondary particle size of the sol containing uncalcined HA crystals is around 750 nm, within micrograde; while the sol of calcined HA contains over 88% nanoparticles with the size between 65~86 nm, in which nano HA crystals are highly dispersed. Both the HA sols have no toxicity on the proliferation of 3T3 cells and lymphocytes.
