1Antioxidant activity and total phenolic and flavonoid content of the extract and chemical composition of the essential oil of Eremostachys laciniata collected from Zagros显示文摘Objective: To examine the chemical component of the essential oil of Eremostachys laciniata and evaluate antioxidant activity of the extract.Methods: The hydrodistillated essential oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. Also, antioxidant activity, total phenolic and flavonoid content were determined by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, Folin-Ciocalteu and colorimetric method, respectively.Results: The major components of the essential oil were p-cymene(21.64%), linalool(17.93%), and a-pinene(11.42%). Also, the extract obtained by methanol showed a good antioxidant activity. 2Improving methane storage on wet activated carbons at various amounts of water显示文摘Different mesoporous activated carbons were prepared by both chemical and physical activation processes and were examined for methane uptake in the presence of water.Methane isotherms were obtained at wet condition by wetting samples with water at mass ratio of water/carbon(R) close to 1.0.To compare,the amount of methane storage were also measured at dry situation.The maximum amount of methane stored was attained as 237 V/V at R=1.0 by hydrate formation at the methane critical pressure.In the next step,mass ratios of water/carbon were changed to investigate various amount of water for methane storage enhancement.Two other values of mass ratio of water/carbon(R=0.8 and 1.4) were selected and methane isotherms were obtained at the same conditions.Maximum values of 210 and 248 V/V were reached for methane storage,respectively.It was also observed that,in the pressure range lower than hydrate pressure,by increasing water ratio the hydrate formation pressure was decreased and methane uptake was much less than that of dry condition due to pore filling by water.MOHAMMAD JABER DARABI MAHBOUB ALI AHMADPOUR HAMED RASHIDI 2012燃料化学学报2012,40,4:7
3Improved recovery of a low-grade refractory gold ore using flotation–preoxidation–cyanidation methods显示文摘In this work, different flotation–preoxidation–cyanidation methods are considered for treating a lowgrade refractory gold ore. On the one hand, the results of selective flotation show that 22% and 31.1%of total Sb and As, respectively, remained in the final tailings and only about 28% of the total Au remained for further cyanidation processes. On the other hand, in bulk method of flotation the maximum Au recovery of 90.6% achieved after 60 min of flotation at the grind size with K80 of 146 micron. In addition, the bulk flotation method resulted in the concentrate with low concentrations of Sb and As elements. To improve the recovery of low-grade refractory gold ores, flotation should be followed by roasting, biological, or pressure oxidation processes so that the gold could be liberated prior to cyanidation processes. It is also found that the pressure oxidation pre-treatment of the concentrates prior to cyanidation may yield high gold recoveries of over than 83%. In these processes, recoveries are controlled by the temperature and the oxygen partial pressure in the solvent. 4Generating Adversarial Samples on Multivariate Time Series using Variational Autoencoders显示文摘Classification models for multivariate time series have drawn the interest of many researchers to the field with the objective of developing accurate and efficient models.However,limited research has been conducted on generating adversarial samples for multivariate time series classification models.Adversarial samples could become a security concern in systems with complex sets of sensors.This study proposes extending the existing gradient adversarial transformation network(GATN)in combination with adversarial autoencoders to attack multivariate time series classification models.The proposed model attacks classification models by utilizing a distilled model to imitate the output of the multivariate time series classification model.In addition,the adversarial generator function is replaced with a variational autoencoder to enhance the adversarial samples.The developed methodology is tested on two multivariate time series classification models:1-nearest neighbor dynamic time warping(1-NN DTW)and a fully convolutional network(FCN).This study utilizes 30 multivariate time series benchmarks provided by the University of East Anglia(UEA)and University of California Riverside(UCR).The use of adversarial autoencoders shows an increase in the fraction of successful adversaries generated on multivariate time series.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to explore adversarial attacks on multivariate time series.Additionally,we recommend future research utilizing the generated latent space from the variational autoencoders.Samuel Harford Fazle Karim Houshang Darabi 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,9:4
5Treatment of Benzene,Toluene and Xylene Contaminated Air in a Bioactive Foam Emulsion Reactor显示文摘A novel bioactive foam emulsion bioreactor for benzene,toluene and xylene(BTX)contaminated air streams treatment has been developed.The gas-liquid interfacial area by biocompatible foam and driving force for mass transfer by a water immiscible organic phase were increased in this reactor.The effect of several parameters such as gas residence time,oxygen content,and organic phase concentration on bioreactor performance was studied. Experimental results showed an average elimination capacity(EC)of 220 g·m3·h -1with removal efficiency(RE) of 89.59%for BTX inlet concentration of 1 g·m3at 15 s gas residence time in the bioreactor.The statistical developed model predicted that the maximum elimination capacity of the reactor for BTX could be reached to 423.45 g·m3·h -1.Continues operation of the bioreactor with high EC and RE was demonstrated by optimizing the operational parameters of the bioreactor.Overall the results suggest that the bioreactor developed can be very effective systems to treat BTX vapors.Farshid Ghorbani Shahna Faride Golbabaei Javad Hamedi Hossein Mahjub Hossein Reza Darabi Seyed Jamaladdin Shahtaheri 2010Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2010,18,1:4
6Effects of Pits and Mounds Following Windthrow Events on Soil Features and Greenhouse Gas Fluxes in a Temperate Forest显示文摘Pit and mound micro-relief(resultant microsites from trees uprooted by windthrow) could have regimes of microclimate and soil features that differ from areas of undisturbed soil. In an attempt to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the significance of pits and mounds on soil features and also the dynamics of greenhouse gas(GHG) fluxes at local scale, this study was carried out in a reserved area of Darabkola forest in Mazandaran Province, northern Iran. The age of a pit and mound was considered equal to the degree of decay of the blown down tree. Three microsites were distinguished, consisting of pit bottom(PB), mound top(MT) and undisturbed area(UA). Soil samples were taken at 0–15 and 15–30 cm depths from all microsites and analysed for soil physical, chemical and biological features. Our findings suggested that in context of forest ecology, pits and mounds following windthrow events should be considered as an effective factor influencing soil features(i.e., density, texture, water content, p H, organic C, total N, available nutrients and earthworm density/biomass) and especially GHG fluxes. Results showed that MT acted as a sink for N2O(-0.010 mg N2 O m-2d-1) and CH4(-0.257 mg CH4m-2d-1) fluxes and also produced lower CO2 concentrations(0.095 mg CO2 m-2d-1) than PB(0.207 mg CO2 m-2d-1) and UA(0.098 mg CO2 m-2d-1).
