| 1 | MicroRNA-143 suppresses gastric cancer cell growth and induces apoptosis by targeting COX-2显示文摘AIM:To investigate the function of microRNA-143(miR-143)in gastric cancer and explore the target genes of miR-143.METHODS:A quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)analysis was performed to evaluate miR-143 expression in gastric cancer cell lines.After transfecting gastric cancer cells with miR-143-5p and miR-143-3p precursors,Alamar blue and apoptosis assays were used to measure the respective proliferation and apoptosis rates.Cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)expression was determined by realtime RT-PCR and Western blot assays after miR-143transfection.Reporter plasmids were constructed,and a luciferase reporter assay was used to identify the miR-143 binding site on COX-2.RESULTS:Both miR-143-5p and miR-143-3p were significantly downregulated in multiple gastric cancer cell lines.Forced miR-143-5p and miR-143-3p expression in gastric cancer cells produced a profound cytotoxic effect.MiR-145-5p transfection into gastric cancer cells resulted in a greater growth inhibitory effect(61.23%±3.16%vs 46.58%±4.28%,P<0.05 in the MKN-1cell line)and a higher apoptosis rate(28.74%±1.93%vs 22.13%±3.31%,P<0.05 in the MKN-1 cell line)than miR-143-3p transfection.Further analysis indicated that COX-2 expression was potently suppressed by miR-143-5p but not by miR-143-3p.The activity of a luciferase reporter construct that contained the 3’-untranslated region(UTR)of COX-2 was downregulated by miR-143-5p(43.6%±4.86%,P<0.01)but not by miR-143-3p.A mutation in the miR-145-5p binding site completely ablated the regulatory effect on luciferase activity,which suggests that there is a direct miR-145-5p binding site in the 3’-UTR of COX-2.CONCLUSION:Both miR-143-5p and miR-143-3p function as anti-oncomirs in gastric cancer.However,miR-143-5p alone directly targets COX-2,and it exhibits a stronger tumor suppressive effect than miR-143-3p. | Xiao-Li Wu Bin Cheng Pei-Yuan Li Huan-Jun Huang Qiu Zhao Zi-Li Dan Dean Tian Peng Zhang | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,43: | 15 |

| 3 | The tribological behavior of a surface-nanocrystallized magnesium alloy AZ31 sheet after ultrasonic shot peening treatment显示文摘A magnesium alloy AZ31 sheet was processed by ultrasonic shot peening treatment to fabricate a surface nanocrystalline,and a ball-on-disk dry sliding wear test was performed to evaluate the tribological behavior after treatment.The microstructure observation indicated a gradient nanocrystalline structure was formed after USSP treatment.The microhardness at the top surface was improved from 60 HV to 145 HV after treatment.The formed nanocrystalline resulted in an easy formation of MgO patches on the surface and reduced the coefficient of friction.Moreover,the formed nanocrystalline leaded to a retard of delamination with increasing the sliding speed and applied load,which was due to its stronger sub-surface.Under high sliding speed(0.5 m/s)and high applied load(50 N),it was firstly found that the formed nanocrystalline prevented the happening of thermal softening and melting.The possible reasons accounting for the prevention of thennal softening and melting were discussed accordingly. | Jianyue Zhang Yongxin Jian Xuzhe Zhao Dean Meng Fusheng Pan Qingyou Han | 2021 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,4: | 3 |

In Chinese medicine, it is an irreplaceable role in the diagnosis and treatment of Chinese medicine of important method. Tongue diagnosis as one of the most characteristic of Chinese medicine diagnosis has been from the previous subjective observation, relying on the experience to judge the era into the new era of tongue diagnosis objectifi cation, quantifi cation, and the introduction of computer digital image processing technology to more Accurate diagnosis. This article will mainly introduce the current in the Chinese and Western medicine on all aspects of the tongue diagnosis of the objective, micro, quantitative progress, the characteristics of tongue images and a variety of processing techniques, including tongue image automatic segmentation, and tongue fat and thin The Relationship and Modernization of Organ Pathology in Viscera. At the same time, a tongue-sized measurement method is introduced. Two-dimensional ultrasound imaging is used as a means of inspection to establish a set of ultrasonic tongue-sized measurement methods. | 9 | Three-dimensional ultrasound subwavelength arbitrary focusing with broadband sparse metalens显示文摘Ultrasound focusing in three-dimensional(3 D)space is of crucial and enduring significance in a variety of biomedical and industrial applications.Conventional ultrasound focusing based on active phase array or passive geometry of bulky size is unable to realize the 3 D arbitrary focusing with subwavelength resolution.Acoustic metamaterial of complex deep-subwavelength microstructure has facilitated the advanced airborne-sound-focusing but is inevitably not applicable for underwater ultrasound,restricted by the law between the multi-modes coupling/thermal viscosity and the feature size of the structure.Here,we aim to circumvent the restriction by increasing the feature size of the metamaterial while keeping the compact overall geometry,and realize the robust subwavelength ultrasound focusing with the sparse metalens of the wavelength-scale meta-atom.We theoretically propose and demonstrate numerically and experimentally the broadband arbitrary ultrasound focusing in 3 D space.The axial and off-axis ultrasound focusing with the subwavelength resolution(FWHM<0.58λ)are achieved by the spatially sparse and compact metalens within one-octave bandwidth.With advantages of 3 D freewheeling focusing,subwavelength resolution,spatial sparsity,geometric simplicity,and broadband,the sparse metalens would offer more initiatives to advanced researches in ultrasound focusing and empower applications such as precise biomedical imaging and therapy,nondestructive evaluation,integrated and multiplexed ultrasound devices. | Xue Jiang JiaJie He ChuanXin Zhang HuaLiang Zhao WeiQi Wang DeAn Ta Cheng-Wei Qiu | 2022 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,2: | 1 |
