1Study on the Recent Tectonic Stress Field in the “Huoshan Seismic Window” Region显示文摘The focal mechanisms of 62 moderate-small earthquakes since 1980 in the'Huoshan seismic window'region are calculated with the method developed recently by Snoke,combining the use of the first motion of P,SV and SH waves with their amplitude ratios.Based on these abundant focal mechanisms,the mean tectonic stress field in the'Huoshan seismic window'region is inverted with the average stress tensor method,and the result shows that the'Huoshan seismic window'region is horizontally compressed in the near EW direction and horizontally dilated in the near NS direction,which is in accord with statistical results of focal mechanism parameters.We estimate the difference(also referred to as consistency parameterθ)between the force axis direction of the focal mechanism solution and the mean stress tensor,then further analyze the variation characteristics ofθversus time,and the relationship with moderately strong earthquakes in the east China region.The result indicates thatθin the'Huoshan seismic window'region is in good correspondence with moderately strong earthquakes in the East China region.Whenθis lower than the mean value,corresponding moderately strong earthquakes may occur in the East China region.Ni Hongyu Liu Zemin Hong Dequan Li Lingli Zheng Xianjin Xu Xin 2013Earthquake Research in China2013,27,4:1
2Lateral variation in Moho depth around the southern Tanlu fault zone and its adjacent area显示文摘We estimated Moho depth beneath the southern Tanlu fault zone and its adjacent area using common-conversion-point(CCP)stacking of receiver functions,which were computed from teleseismic records of the CEArray.Our estimated Moho depth matches well with 2-D profiles derived from active-source deep seismic reflection surveys,suggesting that the calculated the Moho depth map is likely accurate beyond the 2-D profiles.Overall,the estimated Moho depth map showed a high spatial correlation with tectonic provinces,i.e.,Moho topographic boundaries are in good agreement with geological boundaries.Beneath the Dabie orogenic belt and the mountainous areas in southern Anhui Province,the Moho lies relatively deep,and there is an obvious difference in Moho depth between the two sides of this segment of the Tanlu fault.We further selected four depth profiles with dense instrumentation to show Moho depth changes across different tectonic blocks in the study area.We saw two step-like changes in Moho depth beneath the Xiangfan-Guangji and Gushi-Feizhong,which run parallel along the WNW-ESE direction and delineate the southern and northern bounds of the northern Dabie orogenic belt,which is likely the suture zone between the North China Block and South China Block.Crust beneath the northeast corner of the study area is significantly thinner than other areas,which is consistent with the crustal detachment model proposed for suturing between the North and South China blocks in the region east to the Tanlu fault.Dequan Hong Xianliang Huang Yun Yang Ziwen Bao Xiaoli Wang Xueying Wang 2021Earthquake Science2021,34,1:1
3A Study on the Prediction Method of Strong Earthquakes Based on Dynamic Seismicity Patterns with Dynamic Implications显示文摘Seismic gap method is one of the effective earthquake prediction methods using seismicity patterns. However, this method has some limitations and uncertainty when using it singly in predicting earthquakes. This paper puts forward the prediction method using the dynamic seismicity pattern with dynamic implications. This method considers the formation and evolution of the seismic gap on the basis of plate movement and structural characteristics. Through analysis of 26 cases of earthquakes of MS≥5.0 occurring in East China and South China, this paper obtains the relationship between the main shock with seismic gap and active fault's location, as well as the relationship between the seismic gap and location and strike of active faults. 4Focal Mechanism Solution of the 2011 M_S4.8 Anqing Earthquake Determined from the CAP Method显示文摘In this article, we have inverted local broadband waveform data to determine the focal mechanism of the 2011 MS4.8 Anqing earthquake. Our results show that the best double couple solution of the MS4.8 event is 16°, 74° and 120° for strike, dip and rake angles of one nodal plane respectively, and 131°, 33°, 30° for the other nodal plane. The estimated focal depth is about 3km. Both strikes of the two nodal planes differ significantly to the strike of Susong-Zongyang fault, along which seismic activity has been at a low level since the Late Quaternary. 6Analysis of the Impact of Source Region Structures on Seismological Parameter Scanning显示文摘By taking moderate-strong earthquakes in South,North and West China as the research subjects and taking into consideration the fault strikes in these regions,this paper selects 8 kinds of seismology indexes with clear physical significance and strong independence to carry out spatial scanning of the parallel,vertical and oblique slip of fault along the fault strike.Based on the size of correlation coefficients between the scanning curve and source region curve we quantitatively analyze the difference between scan results among different slip modes and study the impact of fault strike in different tectonic divisions on scanning results and variation rules of seismological parameters.The results show that not only does the change of spatial parameters have a great influence on seismological parameter scanning,but so does the fault strike in the source region.This paper presents the optimum condition parameters with least spatial influencing scanning scope for different magnitude seismology indexes and analyzes the possible influence of fault strike on seismological parameter scanning results.Chen Yuwei Wang Xingzhou Miao Peng Chen Anguo Li Lingli Hong Dequan 2010Earthquake Research in China2010,24,2:0
