| 1 | Comparison of lipid profile in different grades of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease diagnosed on ultrasound显示文摘Objective:To detect and compare serum lipid abnormalities in patients diagnosed with different grades of non-alcoholic fatly liver on ultrasonography.Methods:A total of 70 cases which included 30 males and 40 females,diagnosed as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)on ultrasound were investigated with serum lipid profile.Then a comparison of lipid abnormalities between different grades of fatty liver diagnosed on ultrasound was done.P value was calculated by using analysis of variance lest(ANOVA)and P value<0.05 was considered as statistically significant.Results:Out of 70 cases which were diagnosed as NAFLD on ultrasonography,gradeⅠNAFLD cases were 47.15%,gradeⅡwere 42.85%and gradeⅢwere 10%.The mean age of the patients was49.14 years.Male to female ratio was 3:4.Serum triglycerides,total cholesterol,LDL and VLDL levels were raised in 67.14%,45.71%34.28%,25.71%of cases respectively.Low serum HDL levels were seen in 62.85%of patients.On statistical analysis we found increasing grades of NAFLD were significantly associated with increasing values of total cholesterol(P value-0.001),LDL(P value-0.000)and VLDL(P value-0.003)and decreasing HDL(P value-0.000).Conclusion:Most of the patients of NAFLD in India is asymptomatic,non-diabetic and non-hypertensive.Though liver biopsy is the gold standard melhod for diagnosis of NAFLD,Ultrasonography which is non-invasive,simple tool,can be used for the early detection of NAFLD in asymptomatic patients. | Dhumal Uttareshvar Mahaling Madole Mahesh Basavaraj Aher Jagdish Bika | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013，3，11： | 3 |
| 2 | Economical effect of lumen apposing metal stents for treating benign foregut strictures显示文摘AIM To evaluate the clinical and economical efficacy of lumen apposing metal stent(LAMS) in the treatment of benign foregut strictures.METHODS A single center retrospective database of patients who underwent endoscopic treatment of benign foregut strictures between January 2014 and May 2017 was analyzed. A control group of non-stented patients who underwent three endoscopic dilations was compared to patients who underwent LAMS placement. Statistical tests performed included independent t-tests and fiveparameter regression analysis RESULTS Nine hundred and ninety-eight foregut endoscopic dilations were performed between January 2014 and May 2017. 15 patients underwent endoscopic LAMS placement for treatment of benign foregut stricture. Thirty-six patients with recurrent benign foregut strictures underwent three or more endoscopic dilations without stent placement. The cost ratio of endoscopic dilation to LAMS(stent, placement and retrieval) is 5.77. Cost effective analysis demonstrated LAMS to be economical after three endoscopic dilation overall.LAMS was cost effective after two dilations in the Postsurgical stricture subgroup. CONCLUSION Endoscopists should consider LAMS for the treatment of benign foregut strictures if symptoms persist past three endoscopic dilations. Post-surgical strictures may benefit from LAMS if symptoms persist after two dilations in a post-surgical. | 13 | An ionizable supramolecular dendrimer nanosystem for effective siRNA delivery with a favorable safety profile显示文摘Gene therapy using small interfering RNA(siRNA)is emerging as a novel therapeutic approach to treat various diseases.However,safe and efficient siRNA delivery still constitutes the major obstacle for clinical implementation of siRNA therapeutics.Here we report an ionizable supramolecular dendrimer vector,formed via self-assembly of a small amphiphilic dendrimer,as an effective siRNA delivery system with a favorable safety profile.By virtue of the ionizable tertiary amine terminals,the supramolecular dendrimer has a low positively charged surface potential and no notable cytotoxicity at physiological pH.Nonetheless,this ionizable feature imparted sufficient surface charge to the supramolecular dendrimer to enable formation of a stable complex with siRNA via electrostatic interactions.The resulting siRNA/dendrimer delivery system had a surface charge that was neither neutral,thus avoiding aggregation,nor too high,thus avoiding cytotoxicity,but was sufficient for favorable cellular uptake and endosomal release of the siRNA.When tested in different cancer cell lines and patient-derived cancer organoids,this dendrimer-mediated siRNA delivery system effectively silenced the oncogenes Myc and Akt2 with a potent antiproliferative effect,outperforming the gold standard vector,Lipofectamine 2000.Therefore,this ionizable supramolecular dendrimer represents a promising vector for siRNA delivery.The concept of supramolecular dendrimer nanovectors via self-assembly is new,yet easy to implement in practice,offering a new perspective for supramolecular chemistry in biomedical applications. | Dinesh Dhumal Wenjun Lan Ling Ding Yifan Jiang Zhenbin Lyu Erik Laurini Domenico Marson Aura Tintaru Nelson Dusetti Suzanne Giorgio Juan Lucio Iovanna Sabrina Pricl Ling Peng | 2021 | Nano Research2021，14，7： | 1 |
