1Electrolytic reduction of mixed solid oxides in molten salts for energy efficient production of the TiNi alloy显示文摘Direct electrochemical reduction of mixed TiO2 and NiO powders to TiNi alloy has been successfully demonstrated in molten CaCl2 at 900℃ by constant voltage electrolysis. The electrolysis en- ergy consumption was as low as 23.4 kWh/kg-TiNi, although the current efficiency was 20.5% in the pre- liminary experiments. During the process, NiO was first reduced to Ni at high speed, accompanied by TiO2 being perovskitized to CaTiO3?x which was gradually reduced to Ni3Ti and TiNi, assisted by the depolarization of the preformed Ni. The cell voltage for preparation of the TiNi alloy was lower than that for Ti. 2Microscopic car-following model for the traffic flow:the state of the art显示文摘Car-following theory is an important research direction in the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), it describes the one-by-one following process of vehicles on the same lane in traffic flow, and one of its important issues is congestion control. To explore the strategy for controlling traffic congestion, this paper introduces and analyzes some classic car-following models, and gives a systematic review of their developments. Moreover, in order to introduce the approach to analyze the stability, taking the full velocity difference (FVD) model for example, the local and asymptotic stability analysis is discussed, while the corresponding nonlinear analysis is also conducted. 3Direct Reduction of Solid Fe_2O_3 in Molten CaCl_2 by Potentially Green Process显示文摘Sintered (300°C) porous pellets of Fe2O3 were electrolyzed to Fe in molten CaCl2 (800–900°C) under argon at 1.8–3.2 V for 2–20 h. The laboratory scale experiments show that it was a potentially direct green method to produce Fe powder. At lower electrolysis voltage (<2.2 V), higher current efficiency (>90%) and smaller energy consumption (~3.0 kWh/kg) can be obtained. When the electrolysis voltage was above 2.4 V, the deposition of metal Ca from the salt lowered the current efficiency and increased the energy consumption. The electrolysis voltage also had effects on the micrographs of the reduced powder. The cubic particles can be seen in the products at the voltage lower than 2.2 V; when the voltage was higher than 2.2 V, it was nodular. The reduction proceeds at the cathode in two steps, i.e., from Fe2O3 to FeO and then to Fe. The oxygen emits at the anode. 4Regulating electrolytic Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) high entropy alloy electrodes for oxygen evolution reactions in alkaline solution显示文摘The properties of high entropy alloys(HEAs)depend on their phase structures and compositions.However,it is difficult to control the composition of the HEAs that contain highly volatile metals by the conventional arc melting method.In this paper,homogeneous powdery face centered cubic(FCC)phase Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs were prepared by the electrolysis of metal oxides in molten Na_(2)CO_(3)-K_(2)CO_(3) using a stable Ni11Fe10Cu inert oxygen-evolution anode.The use of oxide precursors and relatively low synthetic temperature are beneficial to efficiently preparing HEAs that contain highly volatile elements such as Zn.Moreover,the microstructures and compositions of the electrolytic HEAs can be easily tailored by adjusting the components of oxide precursors,then further regulating its properties.Thus,the electrocatalytic activity of Fe_(0.5)Co NiCuZn_(x) HEAs towards oxygen evolution reactions(OER)was investigated in 1 M KOH.The results show that Zn promotes the OER activity of Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs,i.e.,the HEA(Zn_(0.8))shows the best OER activity exhibiting a low overpotential of 340 m V at 10 m A/cm^(2) and excellent stability of 24 h.Hence,molten salt electrolysis not only provides a green approach to prepare Fe_(0.5)CoNiCuZn_(x) HEAs but also offers an effective way to regulate the structure of the alloys and thereby optimizes the electrocatalytic activities for water electrolysis.Jian Huang Peilin Wang Peng Li Huayi Yin Dihua Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,34:4
5Understanding the electrode reaction process of dechlorination of 2,4-dichlorophenol over Ni/Fe nanoparticles: Effect of pH and 2,4-dichlorophenol concentration显示文摘Herein,with the exploitation of iron and nickel electrodes,the 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP)dechlorinating processes at the anode and cathode,respectively,were separately studied via various electrochemical techniques(e.g.,Tafel polarization,linear polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy).With this in mind,Ni/Fe nanoparticles were prepared by chemical solution deposition,and utilized to test the dechlorination activities of 2,4-DCP over a bimetallic system.For the iron anode,the results showed that higher 2,4-DCP concentration and solution acidity aggravated the corrosion within the electrode.The charge transfer resistance(Rct)values of the iron electrode were 703,473,444,and 437Ω·cm2 for the initial 2,4-DCP concentrations of0,20,50,and 80 mg/L,respectively.When the bulk pH of the 2,4-DCP solution varied from 3.0,5.0to 7.0,the corresponding Rct values were 315,376,and 444Ω·cm2,respectively.For the nickel cathode,the reduction current densities on the electrode at-0.75 V(vs.saturated calomel electrode)were 80,106,and 111μA/cm2,for initial 2,4-DCP concentrations of 40,80,and125 mg/L.The dechlorination experiments demonstrated that when the initial pH of the solution was 7.0,5.0,and 3.0,the dechlorination percentage of 2,4-DCP by Ni/Fe nanoparticles was 62%,69%,and 74%,respectively,which was in line with the electrochemical experiments.10 wt.%Ni loading into Ni/Fe bimetal was affordable and gave a good dechlorination efficiency of 2,4-DCP,and fortunately the Ni/Fe nanoparticles remained comparatively stable in the dechlorination processes at pH 3.0.Kaiyuan Zheng Yuqiao Song Xu Wang Xin Li Xuhui Mao Dihua Wang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:2
6The capacitive performances of carbon obtained from the electrolysis of CO_(2) in molten carbonates: Effects of electrolysis voltage and temperature显示文摘The electrochemical reduction of CO2 to capacitive carbon in molten Li2 CO3–Na2 CO3–K2 CO3 is an effective strategy for capturing and utilizing CO2. This paper reports the effects of the cell voltages and operating temperatures(450–650 °C) of the molten salt electrolysis on the capacitive performance of electrolytic carbon. The electrolytic carbon delivers excellent specific capacitance when the cell voltage is 4.5 V and the temperature of molten salt is 450 °C. The carbon obtained at 450 °C and under 4.5 V delivers a specific capacitance of 550 F g^(-1) at 0.2 A g^(-1) in 1 M aqueous H2 SO4, and the capacity retention rate is73% after 10000 cycles. 7miR-7/TGF-β2 axis sustains acidic tumor microenvironment-induced lung cancer metastasis显示文摘Acidosis,regardless of hypoxia involvement,is recognized as a chronic and harsh tumor microenvironment(TME)that educates malignant cells to thrive and metastasize.Although overwhelming evidence supports an acidic environment as a driver or ubiquitous hallmark of cancer progression,the unrevealed core mechanisms underlying the direct effect of acidification on tumorigenesis have hindered the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and clinical therapy.Here,chemical-induced and transgenic mouse models for colon,liver and lung cancer were established,respectively.miR-7 and TGF-β2 expressions were examined in clinical tissues(n=184).RNA-seq,miRNA-seq,proteomics,biosynthesis analyses and functional studies were performed to validate the mechanisms involved in the acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis.Our data show that lung cancer is sensitive to the increased acidification of TME,and acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis via inhibition of miR-7-5 p.TGF-β2 is a direct target of miR-7-5 p.The reduced expression of miR-7-5 p subsequently increases the expression of TGF-β2 which enhances the metastatic potential of the lung cancer.Indeed,overexpression of miR-7-5 p reduces the acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Furthermore,the human lung tumor samples also show a reduced miR-7-5 p expression but an elevated level of activated TGF-β2;the expressions of both miR-7-5 p and TGF-β2 are correlated with patients’survival.We are the first to identify the role of the miR-7/TGF-β2 axis in acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Our study not only delineates how acidification directly affects tumorigenesis,but also suggests miR-7 is a novel reliable biomarker for acidic TME and a novel therapeutic target for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)treatment.Our study opens an avenue to explore the p H-sensitive subcellular components as novel therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.Tao Su Suchao Huang Yanmin Zhang Yajuan Guo Shuwei Zhang Jiaji Guan Mingjing Meng Linxin Liu Caiyan Wang Dihua Yu Hiu-Yee Kwan Zhiying Huang Qiuju Huang Elaine Lai-Han Leung Ming Hu Ying Wang Zhongqiu Liu Linlin Lu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2:2
8A stable oxygen evolution splitting electrocatalysts high entropy alloy FeCoNiMnMo in simulated seawater显示文摘Stabilizing anode for oxygen evolution(OER)in chlorine-containing electrolytes is a significant challenge.Adding corrosion inhibitors in electrolytes can alleviate this problem,but the type and dosage of cor-rosion inhibitors need a lot of exploration,and side reactions may occur to reduce current efficiency.Herein,we prepared a FeCoNiMnMo High entropy alloy(HEA)electrode for OER in simulated seawa-ter without corrosion inhibitors.It exhibits great electrocatalytic activity(overpotential(η)=237 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2))and excellent stability(200 h at 100 mA cm^(-2)).Experiments and Density Functional The-ory(DFT)calculation show that the protective layer containing K_(2)MoO_(4)is the crucial factor for chlorine resistance of FeCoNiMnMo electrode.The tightly adsorbed state of Cl-and K_(2)MoO_(4)ensures that other oxides are not corroded.And the externally added K_(2)MoO_(4)cannot protect the electrode.In addition,the high-entropy effect of HEA reduces the dissolution of the alloy.This work provides an efficient way to prepare a noble-free HEA catalyst that can stabilize oxygen evolution in corrosive electrolytes.Peng Li Yuanpeng Yao Wengen Ouyang Ze Liu Huayi Yin Dihua Wang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,7:2
