| 6 | Association between semen collection time and semen parameters:an observational study显示文摘The process of semen collection plays a key role in the quality of semen specimens.However,the association between semen collection time and semen quality is still unclear.In this study,ejaculates by masturbation from 746 subfertile men or healthy men who underwent semen analysis were examined.The median(interquartile range)semen collection time for all participants was 7.0(5.0-11.0)min,and the median time taken for semen collection was lower in healthy men than that in subfertile men(6.0 min vs 7.0 min).An increase in the time required to produce semen samples was associated with poorer semen quality.Among those undergoing assisted reproductive technology(ART),the miscarriage rate was positively correlated with the semen collection time.After adjusting for confounders,the highest quartile(Q4)of collection time was negatively associated with semen volume and sperm concentration.A longer time to produce semen samples(Q3 and Q4)was negatively correlated with progressive and total sperm motility.In addition,there was a significant negative linear association between the semen collection time and the sperm morphology.Higher risks of asthenozoospermia(adjusted odds ratio[OR]=2.06,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.31-3.25,P=0.002)and teratozoospermia(adjusted OR=1.98,95%CI:1.10-3.55,P=0.02)were observed in Q3 than those in Q1.Our results indicate that a higher risk of abnormal semen parameter values was associated with an increase in time for semen collection,which may be related to male fertility through its association with semen quality. | Shun Bai Xian-Chao Dou Hao-Lin Qi Yan-Song Zhu Yin-Tao Zhang Yi-Xun Liu Xue-Chun Hu Cheng Cao Xian-Hong Tong Bo Xu Li-Min Wu Xiao-Hua Jiang | 2023 | Asian Journal of Andrology2023,25,3: | 0 |
| 7 | Annealing atmosphere-dependent capacitive energy storage显示文摘Electrostatic capacitors based on dielectrics with high energy density and efficiency are desired for modern electrical systems owing to their intrinsic fast charging-discharging speed and excellent reliability.The longstanding bottleneck is their relatively small energy density.Herein,we report enhanced energy density and efficiency in the Aurivillius Pb_(2)Bi_(4)Ti_(5)O_(18)films by controlling the post-annealing atmosphere.The results demonstrate that the fabrication atmosphere has significant effects on the film texture and defects.As the increase of the oxygen pressure of annealing atmosphere,the Pb_(2)Bi_(4)Ti_(5)O_(18)films show a preferred growth orientation of(00l)and fewer defects,which leads to a higher polarization and breakdown field for the film annealed in air atmosphere and thus help to achieve an ultrahigh energy density of59.4 J·cm^(-3)and an improved efficiency of 81.2%.Moreover,the film also exhibits excellent cycling reliability and good thermal stability.The Pb_(2)Bi_(4)Ti_(5)O_(18)films show a significant potential application for dielectric capacitors. | Bing-Bing Yang Hai-Yun Tong Shun Lan Yi-Qian Liu Lv-Ye Dou Hao Pan Yuan-Hua Lin | 2023 | Rare Metals2023,42,5: | 0 |
| 8 | One-pot synthesis of FeNxC as efficient catalyst for high-performance zinc-air battery显示文摘Rechargeable zinc-air batteries(ZAB)with a high theoretical energy density of 1086 Wh kg^(-1),have received tremendous research attention.However,the practical application of ZABs is still limited by high polarization and poor energy efficiency(low power density)due to the sluggish 4 electrons(e^(-))/oxygen(O_(2))kinetics over the air electrode.Here,a noble-metal-free Fe Nx C electrocatalyst is developed via a onepot approach,which provides a high density of the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)active site and facilitates the ORR kinetics.Accordingly,the as-assembled Zn-air battery displayed a low charge–discharge voltage gap of 0.71 V at 10 m A cm^(-2),a remarkable peak power density as high as 181.2 m W cm^(-2),as well as the long-term durability for hundreds of hours,among the top level of those reported previously.Our work provides a major boost for the practical application of Zn-air battery in the future. | Yang Li Kuanda Xu Qi Zhang Zhi Zheng Shunning Li Qinghe Zhao Can Li Cheng Dong Zongwei Mei Feng Pan Shixue Dou | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Nanonet-/fiber-structured flexible ceramic membrane enabling dielectric energy storage显示文摘Ceramics are considered intrinsically brittle at macro scale due to the lack of slip mechanism and pre-existing defects,which greatly limits their potential applications in emerging fields including wearable electronic devices and flexible display.In this contribution,we developed BiFeO_(3)/SiO_(2) dual-networks with exceptional flexibility through a coupled electronetting/electrospun method.The hybrid nanostructured networks endow the material with high tensile strength(2.7 MPa),excellent flexibility(80%recoverable deformation),and robust fatigue resistance performance(maintain flexibility after a 1000-cyclic compress test).After in-situ compounded with dielectric polymer via a layer-by-layer solution casting method,the resultant three-dimensional(3D)composite film exhibits a twice higher dielectric constant(εr)than polyether imide(PEI)film.More importantly,the breakdown strength of the 3D composite film is almost the same as that of the PEI film,resulting in an enhanced energy density of~6.0 J/cm^(3) and a high efficiency of 80%at 4.58 MV/cm.The unique structure,combined with the excellent balance between mechanical and dielectric properties in flexible structures,is of critical significance to the design of flexible functional ceramics and broadening their applications in wearable electric devices. | Lvye DOU Bingbing YANG Shun LAN Yiqian LIU Yuan-Hua LIN Ce-Wen NAN | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,1: | 0 |
