| 1 | Mechanism underlying treatment of ischemic stroke using acupuncture:transmission and regulation显示文摘The inflammatory response after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion is an important cause of neurological damage and repair.After cerebral ischemia/reperfusion,microglia are activated,and a large number of circulating inflammatory cells infiltrate the affected area.This leads to the secretion of inflammatory mediators and an inflammatory cascade that eventually causes secondary brain damage,including neuron necrosis,blood-brain barrier destruction,cerebral edema,and an oxidative stress response.Activation of inflammatory signaling pathways plays a key role in the pathological process of ischemic stroke.Increasing evidence suggests that acupuncture can reduce the inflammatory response after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion and promote repair of the injured nervous system.Acupuncture can not only inhibit the activation and infiltration of inflammatory cells,but can also regulate the expression of inflammation-related cytokines,balance the effects of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors,and interfere with inflammatory signaling pathways.Therefore,it is important to study the transmission and regulatory mechanism of inflammatory signaling pathways after acupuncture treatment for cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury to provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment of this type of injury using acupuncture.Our review summarizes the overall conditions of inflammatory cells,mediators,and pathways after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion,and discusses the possible synergistic intervention of acupuncture in the inflammatory signaling pathway network to provide a foundation to explore the multiple molecular mechanisms by which acupuncture promotes nerve function restoration. | Bing-Qian Cao Feng Tan Jie Zhan Peng-Hui Lai | 2021 | Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,5: | 43 |

| 3 | FUSAR-Ship:building a high-resolution SAR-AIS matchup dataset of Gaofen-3 for ship detection and recognition显示文摘Gaofen-3 (GF-3) is China's first civil C-band fully polarimetric spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) primarily missioned for ocean remote sensing and marine monitoring. This paper proposes an automatic sea segmentation, ship detection, and SAR-AIS matchup procedure and an extensible marine target taxonomy of 15 primary ship categories, 98 sub-categories, and many non-ship targets. The FUSAR-Ship high-resolution GF-3 SAR dataset is constructed by running the procedure on a total of 126 GF-3 scenes covering a large variety of sea, land, coast, river and island scenarios. It includes more than 5000 ship chips with AIS messages as well as samples of strong scatterer, bridge, coastal land, islands, sea and land clutter. FUSAR-Ship is intended as an open benchmark dataset for ship and marine target detection and recognition. | 6 | Preliminary study on assessment of nutrient transport in the Taihu Basin based on SWAT modeling显示文摘With the Taihu Basin as a study area, using the spatially distributed and mechanism-based SWAT model, preliminary simulations of nutrient transport in the Taihu Basin during the period of 1995~2002 has been carried out. The topography, soil, meteorology and land use with industrial point pollution discharge, the loss of agricultural fertilizers, urban sewerage, and livestock drainages were all considered in the boundary conditions of the simulations. The model was calibrated and validated against water quality monitoring data from 2001 to 2002. The results show that the annual total productions of nitrogen (TN) and phosphorus (TP) into Lake Taihu are 40000t and 2000t respectively. Nutrient from the Huxi Region is a major resource for Lake Taihu. The non-point source (surface source) pollution is the main form of catchment sources of nutrients into Lake Taihu,occupied TN 53% and TP 56% respectively. TN and TP nutrients from industrial point pollution discharge are 30% and 16%, and sewerage in both forms of point source and non-point source are TN 31% and TP 47%. Both the loss of agricultural fertilizers and livestock drainages from the catchment should be paid more attention as an important nutrient source. | 9 | Enhanced high-temperature performance of Li-rich layered oxide via surface heterophase coating显示文摘Li-rich layered oxides have become one of the most concerned cathode materials for high-energy lithiumion batteries, but they still suffer from poor cycling stability and detrimental voltage decay, especially at elevated temperature. Herein, we proposed a surface heterophase coating engineering based on amorphous/crystalline Li3 PO4 to address these issues for Li-rich layered oxides via a facile wet chemical method. The heterophase coating layer combines the advantages of physical barrier effect achieved by amorphous Li3 PO4 with facilitated Li+diffusion stemmed from crystalline Li3 PO4. Consequently, the modified Li(1.2) Ni(0.2) Mn(0.6) O2 delivers higher initial coulombic efficiency of 92% with enhanced cycling stability at 55 °C(192.9 mAh/g after 100 cycles at 1 C). More importantly, the intrinsic voltage decay has been inhibited as well, i.e. the average potential drop per cycle decreases from 5.96 mV to 2.99 mV. | 12 | Characterizing the composition of intestinal microflora by 16S rRNA gene sequencing显示文摘BACKGROUND This study determined the composition and diversity of intestinal microflora in patients with colorectal adenoma(CRA),which may provide precedence for investigating the role of intestinal microflora in the pathogenesis of colorectal tumors,the composition of intestinal microflora closely related to CRA,and further validating the possibility of intestinal flora as a biomarker of CRA.AIM To study the relationship between intestinal microflora and CRA.METHODS This is a prospective control case study from October 2014 to June 2015 involving healthy volunteers and patients with advanced CRA.High-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analysis were used to investigate the composition and diversity of intestinal microflora in 36 healthy subjects and 49 patients with advanced CRA.Endpoints measured were operational taxonomic units of intestinal flora,as well as their abundance and diversity(αandβtypes).RESULTS In this study,the age,gender,body mass index,as well as location between controls and patients had no significant differences.The mucosa-associated gut microbiota diversity and bacterial distribution in healthy controls and colorectal adenomas were similar.The operational taxonomic unit,abundance,andαandβdiversity were all reduced in patients with CRA compared to controls.At the phylum level,the composition of intestinal microflora was comparable between patients and controls,but the abundance of Proteobacteria was increased,and Firmicutes and Bacteroides were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The increase in Halomonadaceae and Shewanella algae,and reduction in Coprococcus and Bacteroides ovatus,could serve as biomarkers of CRA.High-throughput sequencing confirms the special characteristics and diversity of intestinal microflora in healthy controls and patients with CRA.CONCLUSION The diversity of intestinal microflora was decreased in patients with CRA.An increase in Halomonadaceae and Shewanella algae are markers of CRA. | Wen-Jia Wang You-Lian Zhou Jie He Zhi-Qiang Feng Long Zhang Xiao-Bo Lai Jun-Xiao Zhou Hong Wang | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,6: | 7 |

A semidetailed kinetic scheme of urea thermolysis is developed based on Ebrahimian's work. Sequentially, the evaporation characteristics, decomposition efficiency of a single UWS droplet and deposit formation are simulated. As a result, the relation of evaporation time, relative velocity, exhaust temperature and droplet initial diameter is presented. Synchronously, it indicates that temperature is the decisive factor for urea thermolysis. Different temperatures result in different deposit components, and deposit yield is significantly influenced by temperature and decomposition time. | 14 | Effects of neuregulin-1 on autonomic nervous system remodeling post-myocardial infarction in a rat model显示文摘Sympathetic nerve and vagus nerve remodeling play an important part in cardiac function post-myocardial infarction(MI). Increasing evidence indicates that neuregulin-1(NRG-1) improves cardiac function following heart failure. Since its impact on cardiac function and neural remodeling post-MI is poorly understood, we aimed to investigate the role of NRG-1 in autonomic nervous system remodeling post-MI. Forty-five Sprague-Dawley rats were equally randomized into three groups: sham(with the left anterior descending coronary artery exposed but without ligation), MI(left anterior descending coronary artery ligation), and MI plus NRG-1(left anterior descending coronary artery ligation followed by intraperitoneal injection of NRG-1(10 μg/kg, once daily for 7 days)). At 4 weeks after MI, echocardiography was used to detect the rat cardiac function by measuring the left ventricular end-systolic inner diameter, left ventricular diastolic diameter, left ventricular end-systolic volume, left ventricular end-diastolic volume, left ventricular ejection fraction, and left ventricular fractional shortening. m RNA and protein expression levels of tyrosine hydroxylase, growth associated protein-43(neuronal specific protein), nerve growth factor, choline acetyltransferase(vagus nerve marker), and vesicular acetylcholine transporter(cardiac vagal nerve fiber marker) in ischemic myocardia were detected by real-time PCR and western blot assay to assess autonomous nervous remodeling. After MI, the rat cardiac function deteriorated significantly, and it was significantly improved after NRG-1 injection. Compared with the MI group, m RNA and protein levels of tyrosine hydroxylase and growth associated protein-43, as well as choline acetyltransferase m RNA level significantly decreased in the MI plus NRG-1 group, while m RNA and protein levels of nerve growth factor and vesicular acetylcholine transporters, as well as choline acetyltransferase protein level slightly decreased. | 17 | Structure instability forecasting and analysis of giant rock pillars in steeply dipping thick coal seams显示文摘Structure stability analysis of rock masses is essential for forecasting catastrophic structure failure in coal seam mining. Steeply dipping thick coal seams(SDTCS) are common in the Urumqi coalfield, and some dynamical hazards such as roof collapse and mining-induced seismicity occur frequently in the coal mines. The cause of these events is mainly structure instability in giant rock pillars sandwiched between SDTCS. Developing methods to predict these events is important for safe mining in such a complex environment. This study focuses on understanding the structural mechanics model of a giant rock pillar and presents a viewpoint of the stability of a trend sphenoid fractured beam(TSFB). Some stability index parameters such as failure surface dips were measured, and most dips were observed to be between 46° and 51°. We used a digital panoramic borehole monitoring system to measure the TSFB's height(ΔH), which varied from 56.37 to 60.50 m. Next, FLAC3 D was used to model the distribution and evolution of vertical displacement in the giant rock pillars; the results confirmed the existence of a TSFB structure. Finally, we investigated the acoustic emission(AE) energy accumulation rate and observed that the rate commonly ranged from 20 to 40 k J/min. The AE energy accumulation rate could be used to anticipate impeding seismic events related to structure failure. | 19 | Salidroside Protects Against 6-Hydroxydopamine-Induced Cytotoxicity by Attenuating ER Stress显示文摘Parkinson's disease(PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by a persistent decline of dopaminergic(DA) neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta. Despite its frequency, effective therapeutic strategies that halt the neurodegenerative processes are lacking, reinforcing the need to better understand the molecular drivers of this disease. Importantly, increasing evidence suggests that the endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress-induced unfolded protein response is likely involved in DA neuronal death. Salidroside, a major compound isolated from Rhodiola rosea L., possesses potent antioxidative stress properties and protects against DA neuronal death. However, the underlying mechanisms are not well understood. In the present study, we demonstrate that salidroside prevents 6-hydroxydopamine(6-OHDA)-induced cytotoxicity by attenuating ER stress. Furthermore, treatment of a DA neuronal cell line(SN4741) and primary cortical neurons with salidroside significantly reduced neurotoxin-induced increases in cytoplasmic reactive oxygen species and calcium, both of which cause ER stress, and cleaved caspase-12, which is responsible for ER stress-induced cell death. Together, these results suggest that salidroside protects SN4741 cells and primary cortical neurons from 6-OHDA-induced neurotoxicity by attenuating ER stress.
