| 1 | Thermal cracking of aviation kerosene for scramjet applications显示文摘Thermal cracking of China No.3 aviation kerosene was studied experimentally and analytically under supercritical conditions relevant to regenerative cooling system for Mach-6 scramjet applications. A two-stage heated tube system with cracked products collection/analysis was used and it can achieve a fuel temperature range of 700―1100 K,a pressure range of 3.5―4.5 MPa and a residence time of ap-proximately 0.5―1.3 s. Compositions of the cracked gaseous products and mass flow rate of the kerosene flow at varied temperatures and pressures were obtained experimentally. A one-step lumped model was developed with the cracked mixtures grouped into three categories:unreacted kerosene,gaseous products and residuals including liquid products and carbon deposits. Based on the model,fuel conversion on the mass basis,the reaction rate and the residence time were estimated as functions of temperature. | 2 | α-Lipoic Acid Exerts Its Antiviral Effect against Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus(VHSV) by Promoting Upregulation of Antiviral Genes and Suppressing VHSV-Induced Oxidative Stress显示文摘Viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus(VHSV), belonging to the genus Novirhabdovirus, Rhabdoviridae family, is a causative agent of high mortality in fish and has caused significant losses to the aquaculture industry. Currently, no effective vaccines, Food and Drug Administration-approved inhibitors, or other therapeutic intervention options are available against VHSV. α-Lipoic Acid(LA), a potent antioxidant, has been proposed to have antiviral effects against different viruses. In this study, LA(CC_(50)= 472.6 lmol/L) was repurposed to exhibit antiviral activity against VHSV. In fathead minnow cells,LA significantly increased the cell viability post-VHSV infection(EC_(50)= 42.7 lmol/L), and exerted a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on VHSV induced-plaque, cytopathic effects, and VHSV glycoprotein expression. The time-of-addition assay suggested that the antiviral activity of LA occurred at viral replication stage. Survival assay revealed that LA could significantly upregulated the survival rate of VHSV-infected largemouth bass in both co-injection(38.095% vs. 1.887%,P < 0.01) and post-injection manner(38.813% vs. 8.696%, P < 0.01) compared with the control group. Additional comparative transcriptome and q RT-PCR analysis revealed LA treatment upregulated the expression of several antiviral genes, such as IRF7, Viperin, and ISG15. Moreover, LA treatment reduced VHSV-induced reactive oxygen species production in addition to Nrf2 and SOD1 expression. Taken together, these data demonstrated that LA suppressed VHSV replication by inducing antiviral genes expression and reducing VHSV-induced oxidative stress. | 9 | Genetic diversity of RNA viruses infecting invertebrate pests of rice显示文摘Invertebrate species are a natural reservoir of viral genetic diversity,and invertebrate pests are widely distributed in crop fields.However,information on viruses infecting invertebrate pests of crops is limited.In this report,we describe the deep metatranscriptomic sequencing of 88 invertebrate samples covering all major invertebrate pests in rice fields.We identified 296 new RNA viruses and 13 known RNA viruses.These viruses clustered within 31 families,with many highly divergent viruses constituting potentially new families and genera.Of the identified viruses,13 RNA viruses clustered within the Fiersviridae family of bacteriophages,and 48 RNA viruses clustered within families and genera of mycoviruses.We detected known rice viruses in novel invertebrate hosts at high abundances.Furthermore,some novel RNA viruses have genome structures closely matching to known plant viruses and clustered within genera of several plant virus species.Fortyfive potential insect pathogenic RNA viruses were detected in invertebrate species.Our analysis revealed that host taxonomy plays a major role and geographical location plays an important role in structuring viral diversity.Cross-species transmission of RNA viruses was detected between invertebrate hosts.Newly identified viral genomes showed extensive variation for invertebrate viral families or genera.Together,the large-scale metatranscriptomic analysis greatly expands our understanding of RNA viruses in rice invertebrate species,the results provide valuable information for developing efficient strategies to manage insect pests and virus-mediated crop diseases. | Haoran Wang Shufen Chao Qing Yan Shu Zhang Guoqing Chen Chonghui Mao Yang Hu Fengquan Yu Shuo Wang Liang Lv Baojun Yang Jiachun He Songbai Zhang Liangsheng Zhang Peter Simmonds Guozhong Feng | 2024 | Science China(Life Sciences)2024,67,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Application of Regularization Methods in the Sky Map Reconstruction of the Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder Array显示文摘The Tianlai cylinder pathfinder is a radio interferometer array to test 21 cm intensity mapping techniques in the post-reionization era.It works in passive drift scan mode to survey the sky visible in the northern hemisphere.To deal with the large instantaneous field of view and the spherical sky,we decompose the drift scan data into m-modes,which are linearly related to the sky intensity.The sky map is reconstructed by solving the linear interferometer equations.Due to incomplete uv coverage of the interferometer baselines,this inverse problem is usually ill-posed,and regularization method is needed for its solution.In this paper,we use simulation to investigate two frequently used regularization methods,the Truncated Singular Value Decomposition(TSVD),and the Tikhonov regularization techniques.Choosing the regularization parameter is very important for its application.We employ the generalized cross validation method and the L-curve method to determine the optimal value.We compare the resulting maps obtained with the different regularization methods,and for the different parameters derived using the different criteria.While both methods can yield good maps for a range of regularization parameters,in the Tikhonov method the suppression of noisy modes are more gradually applied,produce more smooth maps which avoids some visual artefacts in the maps generated with the TSVD method. | Kaifeng Yu Shifan Zuo Fengquan Wu Yougang Wang Xuelei Chen | 2024 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2024,24,2: | 0 |

| 17 | A Simulation of Calibration and Map-making Errors of the Tianlai Cylinder Pathfinder Array显示文摘The Tianlai cylinder array is a pathfinder for developing and testing 21 cm intensity mapping techniques.In this paper,we use numerical simulation to assess how its measurement is affected by thermal noise and the errors in calibration and map-making process,and the error in the sky map reconstructed from a drift scan survey.Here we consider only the single frequency,unpolarized case.The beam is modeled by fitting to the electromagnetic simulation of the antenna,and the variations of the complex gains of the array elements are modeled by Gaussian processes.Mock visibility data are generated and run through our data processing pipeline.We find that the accuracy of the current calibration is limited primarily by the absolute calibration,where the error comes mainly from the approximation of a single dominating point source.We then studied the m-mode map-making with the help of Moore-Penrose inverse.We find that discarding modes with singular values smaller than a threshold could generate visible artifacts in the map.The impacts of the residue variation of the complex gain and thermal noise are also investigated.The thermal noise in the map varies with latitude,being minimum at the latitude passing through the zenith of the telescope.The angular power spectrum of the reconstructed map show that the current Tianlai cylinder pathfinder,which has a shorter maximum baseline length in the North-South direction,can measure modes up to l■2πb_(NS)/λ~200 very well,but would lose a significant fraction of higher angular modes when noise is present.These results help us to identify the main limiting factors in our current array configuration and data analysis procedure,and suggest that the performance can be improved by reconfiguration of the array feed positions. | Kaifeng Yu Fengquan Wu Shifan Zuo Jixia Li Shijie Sun Yougang Wang Xuelei Chen | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,10: | 0 |
