| 2 | Personality factors and profiles in variants of irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘AIM: To study the association between irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) variants (constipation,diarrhea,or both) and personality traits in non-psychiatric patients. METHODS: IBS was diagnosed using the Rome Ⅱ diagnostic criteria after exclusion of organic bowel pathology. The entry of each patient was confirmed following a psychiatric interview. Personality traits and the score of each factor were evaluated using the NEO Five Factor Inventory. RESULTS: One hundred and fifty patients were studied. The mean age (± SD) was 33.4 (± 11.0) year (62% female). Subjects scored higher in neuroticism (26.25 ± 7.80 vs 22.92 ± 9.54,P < 0.0005),openness (26.25 ± 5.22 vs 27.94 ± 4.87,P < 0.0005) and conscientiousness (32.90 ± 7.80 vs 31.62 ± 5.64,P < 0.01) compared to our general population derived from universities of Iran. Our studied population consisted of 71 patients with Diarrhea dominant-IBS,33 with Constipation dominant-IBS and 46 with Altering type-IBS. Scores of conscientiousness and neuroticism were significantly higher in C-IBS compared to D-IBS and A-IBS (35.79 ± 5.65 vs 31.95 ± 6.80,P = 0.035 and 31.97 ± 9.87,P = 0.043,respectively). Conscientiousness was the highest dimension of personality in each of the variants. Patients with C-IBS had almost similar personality profiles,composed of higher scores for neuroticism and conscientiousness,with low levels of agreeableness,openness and extraversion that were close to those of the general population. CONCLUSION: Differences were observed between IBS patients and the general population,as well as between IBS subtypes,in terms of personality factors. Patients with constipation-predominant IBS showed similar personality profiles. | 3 | Design,development and evaluation of an online grading system for peeled pistachios equipped with machine vision technology and support vector machine显示文摘In this study,an intelligent system based on combined machine vision(MV)and Support Vector Machine(SVM)was developed for sorting of peeled pistachio kernels and shells.The system was composed of conveyor belt,lighting box,camera,processing unit and sorting unit.A color CCD camera was used to capture images.The images were digitalized by a capture card and transferred to a personal computer for further analysis.Initially,images were converted from RGB color space to HSV color ones.For segmentation of the acquired images,H-component in the HSV color space and Otsu thresholding method were applied.A feature vector containing 30 color features was extracted from the captured images.A feature selection method based on sensitivity analysis was carried out to select superior features.The selected features were presented to SVM classifier.Various SVM models having a different kernel function were developed and tested.The SVM model having cubic polynomial kernel function and 38 support vectors achieved the best accuracy(99.17%)and then was selected to use in online decision-making unit of the system.By launching the online system,it was found that limiting factors of the system capacity were related to the hardware parts of the system(conveyor belt and pneumatic valves used in the sorting unit).The limiting factors led to a distance of 8 mm between the samples.The overall accuracy and capacity of the sorter were obtained 94.33% and 22.74 kg/h,respectively. | Hosein Nouri-Ahmadabadi Mahmoud Omid Seyed Saeid Mohtasebi Mahmoud Soltani Firouz | 2017 | Information Processing in Agriculture2017，4，4： | 5 |
| 4 | Effect of modified atmosphere packaging on the mechanical properties of lettuce during shelf life in cold storage显示文摘Lettuce is a perishable vegetable that its shelf life is limited by detrimental texture changes and enzymatic activities during postharvest storage.One of solutions that can be used in storage and distribution of this product is modified atmosphere packaging(MAP).But its effects on the mechanical properties of the product have not been studied.This information would be beneficial in inspection of eating quality and later processing such as cutting and shredding.This research aimed to study effect of active MAP technology on the postharvest mechanical properties of lettuce at different storage periods.It was found that MAP had a significant effect on the tension property of the lettuce leaf.MAP treatment preserved the brittleness of the specimens during storage,but the control ones lost their brittleness and tolerated greater tension.Stiffness and rupture energy were significantly affected by MAP with P values of 0.01 and 0.05,respectively.Also,stiffness of the MAPtreated samples was higher than the control at the same storage time.The findings are due to reducing respiration,transpiration and bacterial growth by MAP which delays nutrient decomposition and maintains the original color and texture. | Mahmoud Soltani Firouz Reza Alimardani Hossein Mobli Seyed Saeid Mohtasebi | 2021 | Information Processing in Agriculture2021，8，4： | 5 |

| 6 | Diagnosis of Toxoplasma gondii infection in pregnant women using automated chemiluminescence and quantitative real time PCR显示文摘Objective: To identify serodiagnosis and quantification of Toxoplasma gondii(T. gondii) infection among pregnant women in Salmas, northwest of Iran. Methods: In this crosssectional study, 276 blood samples were collected from pregnant women referred to the health care centers in Salmas city. The demographic variables were also recorded. Titers of antiToxoplasma IgM and IgG antibodies(Ab) were determined using the chemiluminescence immunoassay. Quantitative real-time PCR targeting the T. gondii repeated element gene was also performed on the blood sample. Results: Out of all, 19.92%(55/276) and 2.17%(6/276) patients were seropositive for anti-Toxoplasma IgG and IgM Ab, respectively. Moreover, the presence of T. gondii DNA was observed in 12.31%(34/276) blood samples. A significant relationship was observed between the IgG Ab seropositivity and contact with the cat as a risk factor(P=0.022). Conclusions: The seroprevalence rate of T. gondii infection in pregnant women is relatively low. Consequently, the seronegative pregnant women are at risk, and a considerable rate of positive blood samples for the presence of parasite's DNA should not be ignored. Besides, quantitative real-time PCR could be considered as an accurate method for diagnosis of acute toxoplasmosis especially when the precise results are of the most importance in pregnancy. | 18 | Factors associated with DAA virological treatment failure and resistance-associated substitutions description in HIV/HCV coinfected patients显示文摘AIM To describe factors associated with treatment failure and frequency of resistance-associated substitutions(RAS).METHODS Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)/hepatitis C virus(HCV) coinfected patients starting a first direct-acting antiviral(DAA) regimen before February 2016 and included in the French ANRS CO13 HEPAVIH cohort were eligible. Failure was defined as:(1) non-response [HCV-RNA remained detectable during treatment, at end of treatment(EOT)]; and(2) relapse(HCVRNA suppressed at EOT but detectable thereafter). Sequencing analysis was performed to describe prevalence of drug class-specific RAS. Factors associated with failure were determined using logistic regression models.RESULTS Among 559 patients, 77% had suppressed plasma HIV-RNA < 50 copies/mL at DAA treatment initiation, 41% were cirrhotic, and 68% were HCV treatmentexperienced. Virological treatment failures occurred in 22 patients and were mainly relapses(17, 77%) then undefined failures(3, 14%) and non-responses(2, 9%). Mean treatment duration was 16 wk overall. Posttreatment NS3, NS5 A or NS5 B RAS were detected in 10/14 patients with samples available for sequencing analysis. After adjustment for age, sex, ribavirin use, HCV genotype and treatment duration, low platelet count was the only factor significantly associated with a higher risk of failure(OR: 6.5; 95%CI: 1.8-22.6). CONCLUSION Only 3.9% HIV-HCV coinfected patients failed DAA regimens and RAS were found in 70% of those failing.
