A National Human Rabies Surveillance program was initiated in high rabies incidence regions in 2005, and subsequently carried out nationally to monitor rabies situation. 2Identification of Animal Rabies in Inner Mongolia and Analysis of the Etiologic Characteristics显示文摘Objective To perform pathological observation and etiological identification of specimens collected from dairy cows,beef cattle and dogs which were suspected of rabies in Inner Mongolia in 2011,and analyze their etiological characteristics. Methods Pathological observation was conducted on the brain specimens of three infected animals with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining,followed by confirmation using immunofluorescence and nested RT-PCR methods. Finally,phylogenetic analysis was conducted using the virus N gene sequence amplified from three specimens. Results Eosinophilic and cytoplasmic inclusion bodies were seen in neuronal cells of the CNS; and rabies non-characteristic histopathological changes were also detected in the CNS. The three brain specimens were detected positive. N gene nucleotide sequence of these three isolates showed distinct sequence identity,therefore they fell into different groups in the phylogenetic analysis. N gene in the cow and dog had higher homology with that in Hebei isolate,but that in the beef cattle had higher homology with that in Mongolian lupine isolate and Russian red fox isolate. 3Molecular Characterization of China Human Rabies Vaccine Strains显示文摘To understand the molecular characteristics of China human rabies vaccine strains, we report the full-length genome of the aG strain and present a comprehensive analysis of this strain and almost all available lyssavirus genomes (58 strains) from GenBank (as of Jan 6, 2011). It is generally considered that the G protein plays a predominant role in determining the pathogenicity of the virus, to this end we predicted the tertiary structure of the G protein of aG strain, CTN181 strain and wild type strain HN10 based on the crystal structure of Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) G. The predicted RABV G structure has a similar topology to VSV G and the ectodomain can be divided into 4 distinct domains DI-DIV. By mapping the characterized mutations to this structure between China vaccine strains and their close street strains, we speculate that the G303(P-H) mutations of CTN181 and HN10 causing DⅡ 3D change may be associated with the attenuated virulence in both strains. 5Phase separation-hydrogen etching-derived Cu-decorated Cu-Mn bimetallic oxides with oxygen vacancies boosting superior sodium-ion storage kinetics显示文摘Understanding the crystal phase evolution of bimetallic oxide anodes is the main concern to profoundly reveal the conversion reaction kinetics and sodium-ion storage mechanisms.Herein,an integrated selfsupporting anode of the Cu-decorated Cu-Mn bimetallic oxides with oxygen vacancies(Ov-BMO-Cu)are in-situ generated by phase separation and hydrogen etching using nanoporous Cu-Mn alloy as selfsacrificial templates.On this basis,we have elucidated the relationship between the phase evolution,oxygen vacancies and sodium-ion storage mechanisms,further demonstrating the evolution of oxygen vacancies and the inhibition effect of manganese oxides as an“anchor”on grain aggregation of copper oxides.The kinetic analyses confirm that the expanded lattice space and increased oxygen vacancies of cycled Ov-BMO-Cu synergistically guarantee effective sodium-ion diffusion and storage mechanisms.Therefore,the Ov-BMO-Cu electrode exhibits higher reversible capacities of 4.04 mA h cm^(-2)at 0.2 mA cm^(-2)after 100 cycles and 2.20 m A h cm^(-2)at 1.0 mA cm^(-2)after 500 cycles.Besides,the presodiated Ov-BMO-Cu anode delivers a considerable reversible capacity of 0.79 m A h cm^(-2)at 1.0 mA cm^(-2)after 60 cycles in full cells with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode,confirming its outstanding practicality.Thus,this work is expected to provide enlightenment for designing high-capacity bimetallic oxide anodes.Lin Yan Lingshuo Zong Qi Sun Junpeng Guo Zhenyang Yu Zhijun Qiao Jiuhui Han Zhenyu Cui Jianli Kang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5:1
6Investigation of the Evolutionary History of the Lyssaviruses显示文摘Dear Editor, We report the results of evolutionary history estimation of the lyssaviruses based on an analysis of the Glycoprotein (G) sequences gene using the BEAST software package. 8Structure and Electrochemical Hydrogen Storage Properties of as-Milled Mg-Ce-Ni-Al-Based Alloys显示文摘At room temperature,crystalline Mg-based alloys,including Mg2 Ni,MgNi,REMg12 and La2 Mg17,have been proved with weak electrochemical hydrogen storage performances.For improving their electrochemical property,the Mg is partially substituted by Ce in Mg-Ni-based alloys and the surface modification treatment is performed by mechanical coating Ni.Mechanical milling is utilized to synthesize the amorphous and nanocrystalline Mg1-xCexNi0.9Al0.1(x=0,0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08)+50 wt%Ni hydrogen storage alloys.The effects made by Ce substitution and mechanical milling on the electrochemical hydrogen storage property and structure have been analyzed.It shows that the as-milled alloys electrochemically absorb and desorb hydrogen well at room temperature.The as-milled alloys,without any activation,can reach their maximal discharge capacities during first cycling.The maximal value of the 30-h-milled alloy depending on Ce content is 578.4 mAh/g,while that of the x=0.08 alloy always grows when prolonging milling duration.The maximal discharge capacity augments from337.4 to 521.2 mAh/g when milling duration grows from 5 to 30 h.The cycle stability grows with increasing Ce content and milling duration.Concretely,the S100 value augments from 55 to 82%for the alloy milled for 30 h with Ce content rising from 0 to 0.08 and from 66 to 82%when milling the x=0.08 alloy mechanically from 5 to 30 h.The alloys’electrochemical dynamics parameters were measured as well which have maximum values depending on Ce content and keep growing up with milling duration extending.Yanghuan Zhang Zhenyang Li Wei Zhang Wengang Bu Yan Qi Shihai Guo 2020Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,5:1
9Two-dimensional distributed strain sensing with an Archimedean spiral arrangement in optical frequency domain reflectometry显示文摘We demonstrate a distributed two-dimensional(2D)strain-sensing system in optical frequency domain reflectometry(OFDR)with an Archimedean spiral arrangement of the sensing fiber.The Archimedean spiral describes a simple relationship between the radial radius and polar angle,such that each circle(the polar angle from0 to 2π)can sense the 2D strain in all directions.The strain between two adjacent circles can also be easily obtained because an Archimedean spiral facilitates sensing of every angle covering the full 2D range.Based on the mathematical relation of Archimedean spirals,we deduce the relationship between the one-dimensional position of the sensing fiber and 2D distribution in polar coordinates.The results of the experiment show that an Archimedean spiral arrangement system can achieve 2D strain sensing with different strain load angles.Yamei Guo Zhenyang Ding Kun Liu Junfeng Jiang Chenhuan Wang Tiegen Liu 2018Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2018,1,3:1
10Sex-dependent obesogenic effect of tetracycline on Drosophila melanogaster deteriorated by dysrhythmia显示文摘Antibiotics have been identified as obesogens contributing to the prevalence of obesity.Moreover,their environmental toxicity shows sex dependence,which might also explain the sex-dependent obesity observed.Yet,the direct evidence for such a connection and the underlying mechanisms remain to be explored.In this study,the effects of tetracycline,which is a representative antibiotic found in both environmental and food samples,on Drosophila melanogaster were studied with consideration of both sex and circadian rhythms(represented by the eclosion rhythm).Results showed that in morning-eclosed adults,tetracycline significantly stimulated the body weight of females(AM females)at 0.1,1.0,10.0 and 100.0μg/L,while tetracycline only stimulated the body weight of males(AM males)at 1.0μg/L.In the afternoon-eclosed adults,tetracycline significantly stimulated the body weight of females(PM females)at 0.1,1.0 and 100.0μg/L,while it showed more significant stimulation in males(PM males)at all concentrations.Notably,the stimulation levels were the greatest in PMmales among all the adults.The results showed the clear sex dependence of the obesogenic effects,which was diminished by dysrhythmia.Further biochemical assays and clustering analysis suggested that the sex-and rhythm-dependent obesogenic effects resulted from the bias toward lipogenesis against lipolysis.Moreover,theywere closely related to the preference for the energy storage forms of lactate and glucose and also to the presence of excessive insulin,with the involvement of glucolipid metabolism.Such relationships indicated potential bridges between the obesogenic effects of pollutants and other diseases,e.g.,cancer and diabetes.Xueping Guo Zhenyang Yu Daqiang Yin 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2:0
11A simplified method for investigating the bending behavior of piles supporting embankments on soft ground显示文摘In recent years,concrete and reinforced concrete piles have been widely used to stabilize soft ground under embankments.Previous research has shown that bending failure,particularly during rapid filling on soft ground,is the critical failure mode for pile-supported embankments.Here,we propose an efficient two-stage method that combines a test-verified soil deformation mechanism and Poulos’solution for pile–soil interaction to investigate the bending behavior of piles supporting embankments on soft ground.The results reveal that there are three possible bending failure scenarios for such piles:at the interface between the soft and firm ground layers,at mid-depths of the fan zone,and at the boundary of the soil deformation mechanism.The location of the bending failure depends on the position and relative stiffness of the given pile.Furthermore,the effect of embedding a pile into a firm ground layer on the bending behavior was investigated.When the embedded length of a pile exceeded a critical value,the bending moment at the interface between the soft and firm ground layers reached a limiting value.In addition,floating piles that are not embedded exhibit an overturning pattern of movement in the soft ground layer,and a potential failure is located in the upper part of these piles.Yu DIAO Yuhao GUO Zhenyang JIA Gang ZHENG Weiqiang PAN Dongfan SHANG Ying ZHANG 2023Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2023,17,7:0
