| 1 | Patterns of cancer recurrence in localized resected hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘BACKGROUND:Tumor resection in non-metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients with adequate liver reserve offers a potential cure,but has a high 5-year recurrence rate.We analyzed the patterns of cancer relapse after partial hepatectomy to guide post-operative management.METHODS:A total of 144 HCC patients(1996-2011)after partial hepatectomy were reviewed.Statistical correlations were determined using univariate and partition analyses.RESULTS:A median follow-up of 20 months showed recurrence in 71(49%)patients,and the median time to recurrence was 11.9 months.Vascular invasion(P<0.01)and number of lesions(P<0.01)predicted for recurrence.Histologic grade was not correlated with recurrence.Twenty-two(31%)patients developed both surgical margin(SM)and concurrent intrahepatic recurrences,and 28(40%)had non-SM intrahepatic recurrences with no other signs of recurrence.On partition analysis,the risk of marginal recurrence in patients with SM<1 mm and SM≥1 mm was 35%and 13.5%respectively.Approximately 57%of patients with intrahepatic recurrence had recurrence≤2.5 cm from SM.CONCLUSIONS:Intrahepatic recurrence after partial hepatectomy is common and is significantly associated with vascular invasion and tumor stage.About 57%of patients with intrahepatic relapse had a recurrence close(≤2.5 cm)to the SM.Additionally,patients with SM<1 mm have a higher recurrence rate and may benefit from adjuvant local therapy. | Aryavarta MS Kumar Elisha T Fredman Christopher Coppa Galal El-Gazzaz Federico N Aucejo May Abdel-Wahab | 2015 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2015，14，3： | 7 |
| 2 | Identification of gas zones and chimneys using seismic attributes analysis at the Scarab field,offshore,Nile Delta,Egypt显示文摘Seismic attributes supported by composite logs are the best way that can enable the interpreter to understand seismic data very well and generate a new view of the output results.Detection of the reservoir zone can be enhanced by analyzing wells log data based on Gamma-ray,Resistivity,and Vp sonic logs respectively.Composite logs of Scarab-1,Scarab-De,Scarab-Da,Scarab-Dd,and Scarab-2 wells indicate the lateral and vertical variation of the gas reservoir in ElWastani Formation.However,there are several seismic attributes that can be used to support reservoirs identification.For enhancement the detection of the hydrocarbon reservoirs,it is important to carefully analyze the 2D seismic data,which in this study will be primarily prepared to enhance seismic attributes results for the identification of gas chimneys,gas zones as channels,enhance stratigraphic and structural interpretations.In this article,we have performed data conditioning,quality control and seismic well ties including the preliminary wavelet extractions to get accurate output.Then,we have extracted of several classes of physical,geometrical and complex attributes as a direct hydrocarbon indicator to identify the gas zones,channels and chimneys and to identify the faults and discontinuities.The main contribution of this work is to provide a more detailed seismic reflection image supported by several seismic attributes classes and well logs to show a visual and quantitative evidence to identify the gas channels and gas chimneys with improving the detection of the faults and discontinuities. | Amir Ismail Hatem Farouk Ewida Mohammad Galal Al-Ibiary Sergio Gammaldi Aldo Zollo | 2020 | Petroleum Research2020，5，1： | 4 |

| 5 | Regular arrangement of collecting venules:Does patient age affect its accuracy?显示文摘AIM:To address the diagnostic value of the regular arrangement of collecting venules(RAC)among old age patients. METHODS:A total of 390 consecutive patients whose Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)status was known and who received upper gastrointestinal endoscopy,were retrospectively studied for the presence or absence of RAC as well as gastric mucosal atrophy.The sensitivity, specificity,positive predictive value,negative predic-tive value and accuracy of RAC to detect normal gastric mucosa were assessed and were compared among two different age groups of patients. RESULTS:The mean age±standard deviation(SD)of included patients(n=390),was 62.9±13 years.The sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy of RAC to detect normal gastric mucosa were 91.7%,66.1%,18.8%,99%and 68.1%respectively.Although the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy of RAC among patients<60 years(n= 139)was 94.7%,71.2%,46.2%,98.1%and 76.1%,respectively,it was 80%,64.3%,5.1%,93%and 64.6%, respectively,among patients≥60 years(n=251). Younger Patients(<60 years),have highly significant rates of RAC sensitivity,positive predictive value,and accuracy(P≤0.001,≤0.001 and≤0.02,respectively).Older patients had highly significant rates of H. pylori infection and gastric mucosal atrophy(P≤0.01).
