1Receptome profiling identifies KREMEN1 and ASGR1 as alternative functional receptors of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Host cellular receptors play key roles in the determination of virus tropism and pathogenesis.However,little is known about SARS-CoV-2 host receptors with the exception of ACE2.Furthermore,ACE2 alone cannot explain the multi-organ tropism of SARS-CoV-2 nor the clinical differences between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV,suggesting the involvement of other receptor(s).Here,we performed genomic receptor profiling to screen 5054 human membrane proteins individually for interaction with the SARS-CoV-2 capsid spike(S)protein.Twelve proteins,including ACE2,ASGR1,and KREMEN1,were identified with diverse S-binding affinities and patterns.ASGR1 or KREMEN1 is sufficient for the entry of SARS-CoV-2 but not SARS-CoV in vitro and in vivo.SARS-CoV-2 utilizes distinct ACE2/ASGR1/KREMEN1(ASK)receptor combinations to enter different cell types,and the expression of ASK together displays a markedly stronger correlation with virus susceptibility than that of any individual receptor at both the cell and tissue levels.The cocktail of ASK-related neutralizing antibodies provides the most substantial blockage of SARS-CoV-2 infection in human lung organoids when compared to individual antibodies.Our study revealed an interacting host receptome of SARS-CoV-2,and identified ASGR1 and KREMEN1 as alternative functional receptors that play essential roles in ACE2-independent virus entry,providing insight into SARS-CoV-2 tropism and pathogenesis,as well as a community resource and potential therapeutic strategies for further COVID-19 investigations.Yunqing Gu Jun Cao Xinyu Zhang Hai Gao Yuyan Wang Jia Wang Juan He Xiaoyi Jiang Jinlan Zhang Guanghui Shen Jie Yang Xichen Zheng Gaowei Hu Yuanfei Zhu Shujuan Du Yunkai Zhu Rong Zhang Jianqing Xu Fei Lan Di Qu Guoliang Xu Yun Zhao Dong Gao Youhua Xie Min Luo Zhigang Lu 2022Cell Research2022,32,1:8
2Influence of foraminifera on formation and occurrence characteristics of natural gas hydrates in fine-grained sediments from Shenhu area, South China Sea显示文摘Marine gas hydrates accumulate primarily in coarse-grained, high-permeability layers; however, highly saturated natural gas hydrates have been discovered in the fine-grained sediments of Shenhu area, South China Sea(SCS). This may be explained by key factors, such as the great abundance of foraminifera shells. In this paper, by analyzing the SCS foraminifera structure and performing hydrate formation experiments in the foraminifera shells, the contribution of foraminifera to hydrate accumulation in the SCS was investigated from a microscopic point of view. Simulations of hydrate formation were carried out in both pure SCS foraminifera shells and the host sediments. Pore structures in typical foraminifera were studied by use of micro-focus X-ray computed tomography(CT) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Hydrate growth and occurrence characteristics in the foraminifera shells were observed in-situ. The results showed that the presence of foraminifera significantly enhanced the effective porosity of the SCS sediments. Moreover, while the hydrates grew preferentially in the chambers of the coarse-grained foraminifera by adhering to the inner walls of the foraminifera shells, no apparent hydrate accumulation was observed in the fine-grained or argillaceous matrix. 4A high over-potential binder-free electrode constructed of Prussian blue and MnO2 for high performance aqueous supercapacitors显示文摘Extending the potential window of aqueous supercapacitors (SCs) up to 2.0 V is still a great challenge.Based on their good dynamic structural reversibility and open framework structure,the coordination superamolecular networks (CSNs) exhibit rapid charge/discharge ability and excellent cycle stability.As a typical coordination superamolecular network (CSN),Prussian blue (denoted as CSN-PB),which self-assembled by the CN-ligand and iron ions is firstly in-situ grown on carbon cloth,followed by electro-deposition of MnO2 to form CSN-PB/MnO2 composite electrode.Benefiting from synergistic effect of the constituent components,as well as the open framework structure of CSN-PB,this composite electrode reaches a high potential window of 1.4 V (vs.Ag/AgCl) and delivers a good specific capacitance of 315.3 F·g^-1 in aqueous electrolyte.An aqueous asymmetric device,constructed with CSN-PB/MnO2 composite as cathode and activated carbon as anode,can work in a stable potential window of 2.4 V,exhibits a high energy density of 46.13 Wh·kg^-1 and excellent cycling stability with 85.5% capacitance retention after 20,000 cycles.This work provides a new concept of high dynamic structural reversibility from CSNs to increase the cell voltage of asymmetric SCs for further boosting energy density.Gaowei Zhang Hua Yao Feng Zhang Zitao Gao Qiujun Li Yangyi Yang Xihong Lu 2019Nano Research2019,12,5:5

6An aqueous zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitor for achieving ultrahigh-volumetric energy density显示文摘Zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitors are regarded as promising safe energy storage systems,However,the relatively low volumetric energy density has become the main bottlenecks in practical applications of portable electronic devices,In this work,the zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitor with high volumetric energy density and superb cycle stability had been constructed which employing the high-density threedimensional graphene hydrogel as cathode and Zn foil used as anode in 1 mol/L ZnSO4 electrolyte.Benefiting from the abundant ion transport paths and the abundant active sites for graphene hydrogel with high density and porous structure,the zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitor exhibited an extremely high volumetric energy density of 118.42 Wh/L and a superb power density of 24.00 kW/L,as well as an excellent long cycle life(80% retention after 30,000 cycles at 10 A/g),which was superior to the volumetric energy density of the reported zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitors.This device,based on the fast ion adsorption/deso rption on the capacitor-type graphene cathode and reversible Zn^(2+) plating/stripping on the battery-type Zn anode,which will inspire the development of zinc-ion hybrid super-capacitor in miniaturized devices.Li Zhang Dandan Wu Gaowei Wang Yongtai Xu Hongxia Li Xingbin Yan 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:4

10Revision of P-wave Velocity and Thickness of Hydrate Layer in Shenhu Area, South China Sea显示文摘To revise P-wave velocity and thickness of the hydrate layer in the Shenhu area of the South China Sea, acoustic and resistivity logging curves are reanalyzed. The waterlogging phenomenon is found in the shallow sediments of five drilling wells, which causes P-wave velocity to approximate the propagation velocity of sea water(about 1500 m s-1). This also affects the identification of the hydrate layer and results in the underestimate of its thickness. In addition, because there could be about a 5 m thick velocity ramp above or below the hydrate layer as interpreted by acoustic and resistivity logging curves, the recalibrated thickness of this layer is less than the original estimated thickness. The recalibrated P-wave velocity of the hydrate layer is also higher than the original estimated velocity. 13Deformation Characteristics of Hydrate-Bearing Sediments显示文摘The safe and efficient development of natural gas hydrate requires a deep understanding of the deformation behaviors of reservoirs.In this study,a series of triaxial shearing tests are carried out to investigate the deformation properties of hydrate-bearing sediments.Variations of volumetric and lateral strains versus hydrate saturation are analyzed comprehensively.Results indicate that the sediments with high hydrate saturation show dilative behaviors,which lead to strain-softening characteristics during shearing.The volumetric strain curves have a tendency to transform gradually from dilatation to compression with the increase in effective confining pressure.An easy prediction model is proposed to describe the relationship between volumetric and axial strains.The model coefficientβis the key dominating factor for the shape of volumetric strain curves and can be determined by the hydrate saturation and stress state.Moreover,a modified model is established for the calculation of lateral strain.The corresponding determination method is provided for the easy estimation of model coefficients for medium sand sediments containing hydrate.This study provides a theoretical and experimental reference for deformation estimation in natural gas hydrate development.DONG Lin LI Yanlong ZHANG Yajuan HU Gaowei LIAO Hualin CHEN Qiang WU Nengyou 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1:0

19Karyological analysis of the sea cicada Blepharipoda liberate Shen from the Rizhao intertidal zone, China显示文摘Blepharipoda liberate Shen is a commercially valuable seafood species that has important ecological signi?cance in Shandong Province, China. Although B. liberate is crustacean, its external characteristics are not entirely those of shrimps or crabs. The question of whether B. liberate is a shrimp or a crab has been debated in recent years. We studied the karyotype of B. liberate by light microscopy using air-drying and spreading methods. We obtained mitotic chromosomal plates from B. liberate larvae, and from adult B. liberate females subsequent to egg-laying. The results revealed that B. liberate has 53 pairs of chromosomes(i.e., n =53 and 2 n =106), a characteristic shared with four species of crab. The karyogram of B. liberate consists of 25 metacentric, 14 submetacentric, 11 subtelocentric and 3 telocentric pairs. We did not ?nd any heteromorphosis sex chromosomes. Tissue from larvae, gills and ovaries can be used for chromosomal investigations, and we found similar lampbrush chromosomes in ovary cells. Comparatively speaking, larvae tissue is more practical, and ovary tissue is more suitable for the preparation of lampbrush chromosomes. B. liberate is more closely related to crabs than to shrimps, based on the numbers of chromosomes.
