| 1 | Dynamic characteristics of charged droplets in an electrostatic spraying process with twin capillaries显示文摘The experimental and simulated investigations on electrostatic spraying with twin capillaries are carried out. The starting electric voltage required for the cone-jet and the deposition characteristics of the droplets are measured.The whole spraying process, which includes jet and droplet motions, is simulated and the simulated results on the motions of jet and droplet are basically consistent with the experiments. According to the simulated results,the contributions of various electric forces to droplet movement are quantitatively analyzed and the droplet dynamic characteristics, especially the interaction mechanism between two sprays, are revealed. The test results on the droplet deposition characteristics partially support the simulated results on the droplet motion. | 3 | TCMBank-the largest TCM database provides deep learningbased Chinese-Western medicine exclusion prediction显示文摘Dear Editor,In the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),two key aspects are determining the active ingredients in herbs and elucidating the mechanism of action between the active ingredients and targets.The construction of a comprehensive and highly-reliability TCM database is highly desirable.Since its establishment in 2011,our TCM Database@Taiwan1 has been used extensively and heavily cited,and it also has been included in the ZINC database.2 Using natural language processing,we set up a knowledge graph and molecular signaling pathways to establish a TCM database,TCMBank(https://TCMBank.cn/),which extends from TCM Database@Taiwan and includes 9192 herbs,61,966 ingredients,15,179 targets,and 32,529 diseases.The updated TCMBank expanded the number of herbal ingredients from 32,364 to 61,966(unduplicated),and two new data fields,targets,and diseases,have been added.The number of herbs with connection information is 9010,and the average number of connection edges of herbs is 16.05.The number of ingredients with connection information is 54,676,and the average number of connection edges of herbs is 5.26. | Qiujie Lv Guanxing Chen Haohuai He Ziduo Yang Lu Zhao Kang Zhang Calvin Yu-Chian Chen | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4: | 1 |

| 6 | Runoff and sediment yield in relation to precipitation,temperature and glaciers on the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The riverine sediment is an essential carrier for nutrients and pollutants delivery and is considered as an important indicator of land degradation and environmental changes.With growing interest in envi-ronmental changes over the Tibetan Plateau,this study investigated mean annual runoff and sediment yield from eight headwater catchments in relation to annual precipitation,air temperature,and glacier area ratio,etc.Results show that runoff(Q)is positively correlated with both precipitation(P)and temperature(T),i.e.,Q¼0.357Pþ20.3T-6.4,indicating combined water supply from rainfall and melt-water,increase of which may exceed the evapotranspiration water loss caused by temperature raise.Sediment yield(S)shows an inverted parabolic relationship with precipitation and at the same time positive correlation with glacier area ratio(Ag),i.e.,S¼0.000609 P2-0.470Pþ48.5 Agþ202.53,indicating that sediment yield is a minimum at about 500e600 mm of precipitation,increasing sharply on both sides of this minimum in one case owing to decreased vegetation protection and in the other to enhanced erosive power and that erosion rate in the glacierized area is generally higher than non-glacierized area.The variation in sediment yield with precipitation can be explained by the operation of two factors,i.e.,rainfall erosive action that increases continuously with increase in precipitation,and vegetation protective action that is unity for zero precipitation and decreases with increases in precip-itation.The above results may be useful in visualizing not only variations in rates of erosion among climatic zones on the Tibetan Plateau but also the probable changes of erosion during a climatic change. | Fan Zhang Chen Zeng Guanxing Wang Li Wang Xiaonan Shi | 2022 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2022,10,2: | 1 |
