| 1 | Size distribution and source of heavy metals in particulate matter on the lead and zinc smelting affected area显示文摘In order to understand the size distribution and the main kind of heavy metals in particulate matter on the lead and zinc smelting affected area, particulate matter(PM) and the source samples were collected in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province from December 2011 to January 2012 and the results were discussed and interpreted. Atmospheric particles were collected with different sizes by a cascade impactor. The concentrations of heavy metals in atmospheric particles of different sizes, collected from the air and from factories, were measured using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). The results indicated that the average concentration of PM, chromium(Cr), arsenic(As), cadmium(Cd) and lead(Pb) in PM was177.3 ± 33.2 μg/m^3, 37.3 ± 8.8 ng/m^3, 17.3 ± 8.1 ng/m^3, 4.8 ± 3.1 ng/m^3 and 141.6 ± 49.1 ng/m^3,respectively. The size distribution of PM displayed a bimodal distribution; the maximum PM size distribution was at 1.1–2.1 μm, followed by 9–10 μm. The size distribution of As, Cd and Pb in PM was similar to the distribution of the PM mass, with peaks observed at the range of1.1–2.1 μm and 9–10 μm ranges while for Cr, only a single-mode at 4.7–5.8 μm was observed. PM(64.7%), As(72.5%), Cd(72.2%) and Pb(75.8%) were associated with the fine mode below 2.1 μm,respectively, while Cr(46.6%) was associated with the coarse mode. The size distribution characteristics, enrichment factor, correlation coefficient values, source information and the analysis of source samples showed that As, Cd and Pb in PM were the typical heavy metal in lead and zinc smelting affected areas, which originated mainly from lead and zinc smelting sources. | Kai Zhang Fahe Chai Zilong Zheng Qing Yang Xuecai Zhong Khanneh Wadinga Fomba Guangzhu Zhou | 2018 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,9: | 10 |

| 4 | Speciation and spatial distribution of Cr in chromite ore processing residue site,Yunnan,China显示文摘Remediation of COPR sites requires the key information including chromium oxidation, speciation and spatial distribution. Samples were gathered from a COPR site in Luliang County in Qujing, Yunnan Province of China. The total Cr, Cr(VI) and chromium species were investigated. Results indicated the concentration of total Cr was between 110.5 and 21,774 mg/kg, and the concentration of Cr(VI) was between 0.1 and 1075 mg/kg. The map of total-Cr and ratio of Cr(VI)/total-Cr(%) showed that the maximum of total-Cr and Cr(VI) appeared in the layers near the surface. In the horizontal direction, the pollution was more serious in the middle and southeast part than that in the west. Additionally, acid extractable chromium increased in the layers at depth from-0.3 to-2.0 m, and it decreased in the deeper layers. There was a trend that the movable Cr(VI) migrated to the deeper layers, and then it turned into Cr(III). Water played an important role for the Cr distribution. Cr(VI) in COPR released to the soil solution after rainfall, and then gravity led the solution down to the deeper layers. After repeated rainfall and leaching,Cr(VI) moved to the deeper soil layers. Due to capillarity and evaporation, Cr(VI) migrated and was enriched at thesurface layer. Therefore, measures on controlling water movement should be taken in the remediation of the COPR site. | Guangzhu Zhou Xin Yin Jing Zhou Weiyu Cheng | 2017 | Acta Geochimica2017,36,2: | 1 |

| 6 | Distribution of heavy metals in the topsoil of the Jining mining area显示文摘The geochemical baseline is the fundamental reference for environmental change and assessment. In this article we describe cluster and regression analyses with a normalization procedure. The elements Sc and Ag were chosen to calculate the environmental geochemical baseline. The geoaccumulation index was calculated and mapped to indicate the environmental quality of the soil. The results show that the urban areas are barely polluted with Ni and Cr but the rural areas in the southern part of the city, and the western part of the lake, are polluted with Ni,Cr,and Cu at the second level. On the other hand, the rural areas in the southern part of the city, and the western part of the lake, are polluted with As at a moderate level. The other area is polluted at the second level. An increase in As pollution occurs in a direction from northeast to southwest. The Cd pollution follows a trend similar to As,with an additional smaller contaminated area polluted at levelⅢ.The Hg pollution typical of urban areas occurs in the main and northern parts of the city. The geochemical accumulation index decreases from the city center to the periphery. The highest pollution level reaches levelⅣ,which indicates that the soil is seriously polluted with Hg.The southern part of the city and the rural areas to the west of the lake are not contaminated with Hg.Geological factors and the disturbance from human activities are both possible major factors:further research is needed to identify them. | HAO Junliang HAN Zuozhen WANG Cuizhen ZHOU Guangzhu LI Yinming | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,3: | 1 |

| 8 | Fine-grained phosphors for red-emitting mini-LEDs with high efficiency and super-luminance显示文摘Mini-LED backlights, combining color conversion materials with blue mini-LED chips, promise traditional liquid crystal displays(LCDs)with higher luminance, better contrast, and a wider color gamut. However,as color conversion materials, quantum dots(QDs)are toxic and unstable, whereas commercially available inorganic phosphors are too big in size to combine with small mini-LED chips and also have strong size-dependence of quantum efficiency(QE)and reliability. In this work,we prepare fine-grained Sr_(2)Si_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)-based red phosphors with high efficiency and stability by treating commercially available phosphors with ball milling, centrifuging, and acid washing. The particle size of phosphors can be easily controlled by milling speed, and the phosphors with a size varying from 3.5 to 0.7 mm are thus obtained. The samples remain the same QE as the original ones(~80%)even when their particle size is reduced to 3.2-3.5 mm,because they contain fewer surface suspension bond defects.More importantly,SrBaSi_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)phosphors show a size-independent thermal quenching behavior and a zero thermal degradation. We demonstrate that red-emitting mini-LEDs can be fabricated by combining the SrBaSi_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)red phosphor(3.5 mm in size)with blue mini-LED chips, which show a high external quantum efficiency(EQE)of above 31%and a super-high luminance of 34.3 Mnits. It indicates that fine and high efficiency phosphors can be obtained by the proposed method in this work, and they have great potentials for use in mini-LED displays. | Yu KANG Shuxing LI Rundong TIAN Guangzhu LIU Haorui DONG Tianliang ZHOU Rong-Jun XIE | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,9: | 0 |
