1Ground Surface Ruptures and Near-Fault,Large-Scale Displacements Caused by the Wenchuan Ms8.0 Earthquake Derived from Pixel Offset Tracking on Synthetic Aperture Radar Images显示文摘The 12 May 2008 Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake produced surface displacements along the causative fault,the Yingxiu-Beichuan Fault,which are up to several meters near the fault.Because of the large gradient,satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR) interferometric data are strongly incoherent;the usual SAR interferometry method does not allow such displacements to be measured.In the present study,we employed another approach,the technique based on pixel offset tracking,to solve this problem.The used image data of six tracks are from the Advanced Land Observing Satellite,Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar(ALOS/PALSAR) dataset of Japan.The results show that the entire surface rupture belt is 238 km long,extending almost linearly in a direction of 42° north-east.It is offset left laterally by a north-west-striking fault at Xiaoyudong,and turns at Gaochuan,where the rupture belt shifts toward the south by 5 km,largely keeping the original trend.In terms of the features of the rupture traces,the rupture belt can be divided into five sections and three types.Among them,the Beichuan-Chaping and Hongkou-Yingxiu sections are relatively complex,with large widths and variable traces along the trend.The Pingtong-Nanba and Qingping-Jingtang sections appear uniform,characterized by straight traces and small widths.West of Yingxiu,the rupture traces are not clear.North of the rupture belt,surface displacements are 2.95 m on average,mostly 2-3.5 m,with 7-9 m the maximum near Beichuan.South of the rupture belt,the average displacement is 1.75 m,dominated by 1-2 m,with 3-4 m at a few sites.In the north,the displacements in the radar line of sight are of subsidence,and in the south,they are uplifted,in accordance with a right-slip motion that moves the northern wall of the fault to the east,and the southern wall to the west,respectively.Along the Guanxian-Jiangyou Fault,there is a uplift zone in the radar line of sight,which is 66 km long,1.5-6 km wide,and has vertical displacements of approximately 2 m,but no observable rupture traces.QU Chunyan SHAN Xinjian LIU Yunhua ZHANG Guohong SONG Xiaogang ZHANG Guifang GUO Liming HAN Yufei 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,2:10
2Ultra-flat dispersion in an integrated waveguide with five and six zero-dispersion wavelengths for mid-infrared photonics显示文摘We propose a new type of dispersion flattening technology, which can generate an ultra-flat group velocity dispersion profile with five and six zero-dispersion wavelengths(ZDWs). The dispersion value varies from-0.15 to 0.35 ps/(nm·km) from 4 to 8 μm, which to the best of our knowledge is the flattest one reported so far, and the dispersion flatness is improved by more than an order of magnitude. We explain the principle of producing six ZDWs. Mode distribution in this waveguide is made stable over a wide bandwidth. General guidelines to systematically control the dispersion value, sign, and slope are provided, and one can achieve the desired dispersion by properly adjusting the structural parameters. 6The Surface Rupture Zone and Coseismic Deformation Produced by the Yutian Ms7.3 Earthquake of 21 March 2008,Xinjiang显示文摘On 21 March 2008,a Ms7.3 earthquake occurred at Quickbird,Yutian County,Xinjiang.We attempt to reveal the features of the causative fault of this shock and its coseismic deformation field.Our work is based on analysis and interpretation to high-resolution satellite images as well as differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar(D-InSAR) data from the satellite Envisat SAR,coupled with seismicity,focal mechanism solutions and active tectonics in this region.The result shows that the 40km-long,nearly NS trending surface rupture zone by this event lies on a range-front alluvial platform in Qira County.It is characterized by distinct linear traces and simple structure with 1-3-m-wide individual seams and maximum 6.5m width of a collapse fracture.Along the rupture zone many secondary fractures and fault-bounded blocks are seen,exhibiting remarkable extension.The coseismic deformation affected a large area 100×100km2.D-InSAR analysis indicates that the interferometric deformation field is dominated by extensional faulting with a small strike-slip component.Along the causative fault,the western wall fell down and the eastern wall,that is the active unit,rose up,both with westerly vergence.Because of the big deformation gradients near the seismogenic fault,no interference fringes are seen on images,and what can be determined is a vertical displacement 70cm or more between the two fault walls.According to the epicenter and differential occurrence times from the National Earthquake Information Center,China Earthquake Network Center,Harvard and USGS,it is suggested that the seismic fault ruptured from north to south.SHAN Xinjian QU Chunyan WANG Chisheng ZHANG Guifang ZHANG Guohong SONG Xiaogang GUO Liming LIU Yunhua 2012Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,1:2
7Electrical bistable characteristics of poly (phenylene sulfide) thin film deposited by thermal evaporation显示文摘Poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) is a well-known organic insulator. However, the PPS thin film, deposited by thermal evaporation in vacuum, showed electrical bistable characteristics. The structure of the PPS thin-film device was glass/ITO/PPS (300 nm)/Au. The thin film can be converted to a high conductance state by applying a pulse of 80 V (5 s), and brought back to a low conductance state by applying a pulse of 100 V (5 s). This kind of thin film is potential for active layer of a memory device. The critical voltage of the device is about 40 V, while the read-out voltage is 5 V. 8病例对照Meta分析显示男性乳腺癌与女性乳腺癌预后相同(英文)显示文摘Objective: Male breast cancer (MBC) is a rare disease, and studies to compare the prognosis between the MBC and female breast cancer (FBC) available now were case-control studies and population-based studies, however, with controversial outcomes. To further investigate whether sex affects the prognosis of breast cancer, we performed a meta-analysis based on all the peered papers. Methods: The PubMed database was screened. Subsequently, the hazard ratios (HRs) for overall survival (OS) and disease special survival (DSS), were pooled using the Review Manager 5.0 package. Results: This study comprised of 254 MBC and 733 FBC patients enrolled in six case-control studies. There was no statistically significant heterogeneity among the trials for either outcome variable. The pooled HR showed that there was no significant difference in 5-year or 10-year DSS (HR: 1.25, 95% CI: 0.76-2.08; HR: 1.04, 95% CI: 0.68-1.59) and 5-year or 10-year OS (HR: 0.76, 95% CI: 0.51-1.14; HR: 0.74, 95% CI: 0.54-1.02) between MBCs and FBCs. 9中国男性乳腺癌患者临床特征:公开发表文章的总结(英文)显示文摘Objective:The extremely low incidence of male breast cancer (MBC) leads to lack of prospective randomized phase III studies worldwide. Especially in China,all studies on Chinese patients with MBC were based on small sample size and single institute experience. The aim of this study was to provide overall view of characteristics of Chinese patients with MBC by means of summarizing all related papers published in Chinese journals. Methods: An online search was made in CBM,VIP,CNKI,and CBA databases to find all published articles of interest on Chinese patients with MBC. And eight subjects including the proportion of MBC in all breast cancer,age,tumor location,clinical stages,pathological subtypes,treatment modalities,ER/PR expression,and 5-year survival rate were selected to calculate the proportion and their 95% interval confidence. Results: There were 122 papers with 2584 patients enrolled. The basic features of Chinese patients with MBC included:(1) MBC only with a proportion of 1.06% of all the breast cancer; (2) The mean age at diagnosis was 57.6 years old; (3) Tumor mainly located in the areolar region (74.83%) with obvious nipple and/or skin involvement; (4) Nearly 62.62% patients were in early stage before accepting treatment; (5) Infiltrating ductal carcinoma accounted for 79.05% of all pathological subtypes; (6) ER/PR expression rate was 65.86%; (7) Radical resection was up to 86.06% in all surgical modalities; (8) The 5-year survival rate was 57.33%. Conclusion: The results showed in this study were an overall view of Chinese patients with MBC whose characteristics were similar to that reported in the West. 10Broadband athermal waveguides and resonators for datacom and telecom applications显示文摘The high-temperature sensitivity of the silicon material index limits the applications of silicon-based micro-ring resonators in integrated photonics. To realize a low but broadband temperature-dependent-wavelength-shift microring resonator, designing a broadband athermal waveguide becomes a significant task. In this work,we propose a broadband athermal waveguide that shows a low effective thermo-optical coefficient of1 × 10^(-6)∕K from 1400 to 1700 nm. 15Robust cavity soliton formation with hybrid dispersion显示文摘Microresonator-based Kerr frequency combs have attracted a great deal of attention in recent years, in which mode locking of the generated combs is associated with bright or dark cavity soliton formation. In this paper,we show that, different from soliton propagation along a waveguide, cavity solitons can be robustly formed under a unique dispersion profile with four zero-dispersion wavelengths. 16单药健择治疗老年非小细胞肺癌荟萃分析(英文)显示文摘Objective:Gemcitabine,used as single agent for elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC),was demonstrated effective in this population based on phase II studies.The aim of this study was to summarize all those phase II studies with the hope to get a comprehensive understanding of gemcitabine efficacy.Methods:The PubMed database was used to search all the papers on NSCLC associated with gemcitabine used as single agent in the first line setting till to March 31st,2010.And the medians and their 95% CI of overall response rate (ORR),disease control rate (DCR),progression free survival (PFS),and overall survival (OS) were calculated.Results:1.There were 7 papers including 410 patients with performance status (PS) ≤ 2 and advanced stage collected.2.The dose-intensities of gemcitabine were 843.75 mg/m 2 /week-1125 mg/m 2 /week in the 4-week schedule,and 666.7 mg/m 2 /week in the 3-week schedule.3.The median age was 73.8 (95% CI was 72.44,75.16) years old;36.1% (95% CI:31.4%,40.7%) of patients with stage IIIB and 60.5% (95% CI:55.8%,65.2%) of patients with stage IV;35.9% (95% CI:31.2%,40.5%) patients were adenocarcinomas and 43.7% (95% CI:38.9%,48.5%) patients were squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs).4.The ORR,DCR,PFS/TTP,and OS were 22.3% (95% CI:18.2%,26.5%),58.4% (95% CI:53.5%,63.4%),3.6 (95% CI:2.9,5.15) months and 6.68 (95% CI:5.4,8.11) months,respectively.Conclusion:Gemcitabine as single agent applied in this special population was effective and can be well tolerated under different doses and usage.Fang Wang Liangping Xia Guifang Guo Huijuan Qiu Feifei Zhou Wenzhuo He 2010The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2010,9,12:1

18Assessing environmental impact:Micro-energy network optimization in a Chinese industrial park显示文摘Micro-energy systems contribute significantly to environmental improvement by reducing dependence on power grids through the utilization of multiple renewable energy sources.This study quantified the environmental impact of a micro-energy network system in an industrial park through a life cycle assessment using the operation of the micro-energy network over a year as the functional unit and“cradle-to-gate”as the system boundary.Based on the baseline scenario,a natural gas generator set was added to replace central heating,and the light pipes were expanded to constitute the optimized scenario.The results showed that the key impact categories for both scenarios were global warming,fine particulate matter formation,human carcinogenic toxicity,and human non-carcinogenic toxicity.The overall environmental impact of the optimized scenario was reduced by 68%compared to the baseline scenario.A sensitivity analysis of the key factors showed that electricity from the power grid was the key impact factor in both scenarios,followed by central heating and natural gas.Therefore,to reduce the environmental impact of network systems,it is necessary to further optimize the grid power structure.The research approach can be used to optimize micro-energy networks and evaluate the environmental impact of different energy systems.Guanzhun Cao Chuan Feng Tong Li Hongjuan Zhang Xiaoyao Guo Wen Li Yanshuang Jia Leping Chen Yuan Xu Qingsong Wang Guifang Chen Xueliang Yuan 2024Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2024,22,1:0

20Genetic structure and differentiation of Psathyrostachys huashanica populations detected with RAPD markers显示文摘Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng is a perennial grass and belongs to genus Psathyrostachys under Triticeae.sathyrostachys is found in the center of Middle Asia and the Caucasus Mountain,while P.huashanica,a species endemic to China,is only located in Mt.Hua in the Shaanxi province,China.At present,the population of this species is decreasing,and reaching the edge of extinction.Due to the limitation in distribution and the importance as breeding material for germplasm storage,it has been considered as first class among the national protected rare plants.For this reason,the present study is significant in probing plant flora,origin and evolu-tion of Triticeae,and crop breeding.Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)markers were used to analyze the genetic structure and differentiation of P.huashanica popula-tions sampled in three valleys(Huangpu,Xian,and Huashan Valleys)in Mt.Hua.One hundred and twenty-two RAPD fragments were obtained in all 266 individuals with 20 prim-ers with a mean of 6.1(2-10)fragments per primer.The percentage of polymorphic loci(PPB)was 60.66%in Huangpu Valley,90.98%in Xian Valley,95.08%in Huashan Valley,and the total PPB was 95.08%,which indicated a highly genetic variability of P.huashanica.The Shannon’s Information index and GST were 0.3306 and 0.3263,respectively,indicating that there were more genetic variations within the subpopulations than those among the subpopulations.The gene flow among the subpopulations of P.huashanica(Nm=1.0322)was much less than that of the common ane-mophytes(Nm=5.24).Mean genetic distance is 0.1571(range:0.0022-0.2901).The highest value of genetic distance was found between the subpopulation(hp1)of Huangpu Valley and the highest altitude subpopulation(h8)of Huashan Valley.Correlation analysis detected significant correlation between genetic distance and vertical distance of altitude.Clustering analysis and principal coordinate analysis revealed the genetic differentiation among the populations of P.huashanica.Differentiation mainly occurred between the higher altitude subpopulations and the lower altitude sub-populations,suggesting that altitude might be the major factor that restricted the gene flow between different altitude subpopulations and resulted in differentiation of subpopulations.WANG Li YANG Juan GUO Jing ZHAO Guifang 2007Frontiers in Biology2007,2,1:0
