1Inflammatory response and neuronal necrosis in rats with cerebral ischemia显示文摘In the middle cerebral artery occlusion model of ischemic injury, inflammation primarily occurs in the infarct and peripheral zones. In the ischemic zone, neurons undergo necrosis and apoptosis, and a large number of reactive microglia are present. In the present study, we investigated the pathological changes in a rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion. Neuronal necrosis appeared 12 hours after middle cerebral artery occlusion, and the peak of neuronal apoptosis appeared 4 to 6 days after middle cerebral artery occlusion. Inflammatory cytokines and microglia play a role in damage and repair after middle cerebral artery occlusion. Serum intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 levels were positively correlated with the permeability of the blood-brain barrier. These findings indicate that intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 may be involved in blood-brain barrier injury, microglial activation, and neuronal apoptosis. 2The first time observations of low-latitude ionospheric irregularities by VHF radar in Hainan显示文摘Sanya VHF radar (18.4°N, 109.6°E, dip latitude 12.8°N) at Hainan Island is the first coherent backscatter radar for sounding low-latitude ionospheric irregularities in the mainland of China. In this paper, we present the first results of low-latitude ionospheric E and F region irregularities using the radar data during the period from February 2009 to March 2010. The Doppler velocity of radar echoes from E region field aligned irregularities (FAIs) was about several tens of meters per second, while the Doppler spectral width was appreciably larger than the velocity, and could reach one hundred meters per second, indicating that the observed E region FAIs belonged to type 2 irregularities. The observations of range time intensity (RTI) maps of FAIs showed that E region irregularities most often occurred at night within the altitude range 85-115 km, and were rarely observed at afternoon hours. The percentage occurrence of E region FAIs maximized during spring months (Feb.-May) with a peak value over 80%. The heights at which the strongest echo related FAIs occurred were mainly around 100 km, lower than h'Es and the difference is mostly 10-20 km. December solstice seemed to be the minimum period of occurrence when the FAI echoes were commonly detected at a narrow altitude range 90-100 km. 3Long-term stabilization of the optical fiber phase control using dual PID显示文摘We propose an approach of long-term stabilization of optical fiber phase by controlling a piezo-based phase modulator and a Peltier component attached to the fiber via a phase-locked loop( PLL) circuit w ith dual proportional-integral- derivative( PID) adjustment. With this approach,we can suppress the fast disturbance and slow drifting of optical fiber to satisfy the requirements of optical phase long-term locking. In theory,a mathematical model of an optical fiber phase control system is established. The disturbance term induced by environment influence is considered into the PLL model. The monotonous and continuous changing environment disturbance w ill cause a steady-state error in this theory model. The experimental results accords w ell w ith the theory. The steady-state performance,adjusting time,and overshoot can be improved by using the dual PID control. 4Interferometry observations of low-latitude E-region irregularity patches using the Sanya VHF radar显示文摘Interferometry plays an important role in revealing fine-scale structures of ionospheric irregularity.By placing an additional receiving array of four 5-element Yagi antennas in the north of the main East-West array of the Sanya VHF radar,multiple interferometry baselines with components parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic meridian are formed.These baselines allow us to study the three-dimensional(3D)behavior of low-latitude ionospheric field-aligned irregularity(FAI)over Sanya.Using multiple non-collinear receiving baselines,an experiment for which the Sanya VHF radar operated as an interferometer was performed on 10 July 2013.Ionospheric E-region FAI echoes with periods of several minutes were observed during 0745-0915 UT;mean Doppler velocity was around -30 m/s with spectral widths of about 50 m/s.The interferometry results show fine-scale structures of E-region FAI with a zonal scale size of 15 km or less.In addition,we found that the periodic variations of echo intensity shown in radar range-time-intensity(RTI)maps were produced by spatially separated E-region irregularity patches.The patches drifted westward with a velocity of about 40-60 m/s and could be associated with propagating gravity waves.These results provide a clearer picture of the characteristics of FAI and thus help to investigate the generation and dynamics of low-latitude ionospheric irregularities in the Chinese sector.LI GuoZhu NING BaiQi HU LianHuan 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,8:10

6Effects of porous oxide layer on performance of Pd-based monolithic catalysts for 2-ethylanthraquinone hydrogenation显示文摘Pd/oxide/cordierite monolithic catalysts(oxide = Al_2O_3, SiO_2 and SiO_2\\Al_2O_3) were prepared by the impregnation method. The results of ICP, XRD, SEM–EDX, XPS and N_2 adsorption–desorption measurements revealed that the Pd penetration depth increased with increasing the thickness of oxide layer, and the catalysts with Al_2O_3 layers had the larger pore size than those with SiO_2 and SiO_2\\Al_2O_3 layers. Catalytic hydrogenation of 2-ethylanthraquinone(eA Q), a key step of the H_2O_2 production by the anthraquinone process, over the various monolithic catalysts(60 °C, atmosphere pressure) showed that the monolithic catalyst with the moderate thickness of Al_2O_3 layer(about 6 μm) exhibited the highest conversion of e AQ(99.1%) and hydrogenation efficiency(10.0 g·L^(-1)). 7STAT3 mediates resistance of CD44^+CD24^(-/low) breast cancer stem cells to tamoxifen in vitro显示文摘We sought to determine whether STAT3 mediated tamoxifen resistance of breast cancer stem cells in vitro.The capacities for mammosphere formation and STAT3 expression of CD44+CD24-/low MCF-7 and MCF-7 were observed.The CD44+CD24-/low subpopulation ratio and its sensitivity to adriamycin were analyzed in MCF-7 and TAM resistant(TAM-R) cells.Cell cycle,apoptosis,STAT3 and phospho-STAT3 changes were observed af-ter treatment with tamoxifen.Small interference RNA-mediated knockdown of STAT3 in TAM-R cells was also performed.CD44+CD24-/low MCF-7 showed higher capacities for mammosphere formation and STAT3 expression than total MCF-7.The CD44+CD24-/low subpopulation was also upregulated in TAM-R cells with less sensitivity to adriamycin than MCF-7.Cell cycle changes,anti-apoptotic effects and STAT3 changes were also found.Mean-while,the knock-down of STAT3 in TAM-R resulted in an increase in sensitivity to tamoxifen.It is concluded that STAT3 plays an essential role in breast cancer stem cells,which correlated with tamoxifen resistance.Xiaoyan Wang Guozhu Wang Yi Zhao Xiaoan Liu Qiang Ding Jingping Shi Yin Ding Shui Wang 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,5:6

9Character and fabrication of Al/Al_2O_3/Al tunnel junctions for qubit application显示文摘The superconductive Josephson junction is the key device for superconducting quantum computation. We have fabricated Al/Al2O3/Al tunnel junctions using a double angle evaporation method based on a suspended shadow mask. The Al2O3 junction barrier has been formed by introducing pure oxygen into the chamber during the fabrication process. We have adjusted exposure conditions by changing either the oxygen pressure or the oxidizing time during the formation of tunnel barriers to control the critical current density Jc and the junction specific resistance Rc. 10DGA-Based Botnet Detection Toward Imbalanced Multiclass Learning显示文摘Botnets based on the Domain Generation Algorithm(DGA) mechanism pose great challenges to the main current detection methods because of their strong concealment and robustness. However, the complexity of the DGA family and the imbalance of samples continue to impede research on DGA detection. In the existing work, the sample size of each DGA family is regarded as the most important determinant of the resampling proportion;thus,differences in the characteristics of various samples are ignored, and the optimal resampling effect is not achieved.In this paper, a Long Short-Term Memory-based Property and Quantity Dependent Optimization(LSTM.PQDO)method is proposed. This method takes advantage of LSTM to automatically mine the comprehensive features of DGA domain names. 11Experimental and numerical studies on progressive debonding of grouted rock bolts显示文摘Understanding the mechanism of progressive debonding of bolts is of great significance for underground safety.In this paper,both laboratory experiment and numerical simulation of the pull-out tests were performed.The experimental pull-out test specimens were prepared using cement mortar material,and a relationship between the pull-out strength of the bolt and the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cement mortar material specimen was established.The locations of crack developed in the pull-out process were identified using the acoustic emission(AE)technique.The pull-out test was reproduced using 2D Particle Flow Code(PFC^(2D))with calibrated parameters.The experimental results show that the axial displacement of the cement mortar material at the peak load during the test was approximately 5 mm for cement-based grout of all strength.In contrast,the peak load of the bolt increased with the UCS of the confining medium.Under peak load,cracks propagated to less than one half of the anchorage length,indicating a lag between crack propagation and axial bolt load transmission.The simulation results show that the dilatation between the bolt and the rock induced cracks and extended the force field along the anchorage direction;and,it was identified as the major contributing factor for the pull-out failure of rock bolt.Hao Shi Lei Song Houquan Zhang Wenlong Chen Huasheng Lin Danqi Li Guozhu Wang Huayun Zhao 2022International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,1:4
12Service life prediction of AP/Al/HTPB solid rocket propellant with consideration of softening aging behavior显示文摘The aging behavior of softening composite solid propellant was investigated by measuring its mechanical and ballistic prosperities during prolonged storage at elevated and room temperatures. Accelerated aging was conducted at 65 °C for 231 days while the normal aging was performed at 25 ± 3 °C and relative humidity less than 50% for 8 years. The mechanical properties were obtained from uniaxial tensile tests for the aged propellant specimens while the ballistic properties were determined from static firing tests of subscale motors aged for 112 days at 65 °C. The mechanical results show that the maximum tensile strength and Young's modulus initially increase and subsequently decrease with increasing aging time, while the maximum tensile strain generally increases with increasing aging time. The ballistic properties like burning rate show a small change which cannot affect the ballistic performance. The experimental results show that the changes in the mechanical properties are significant during the aging period, but the burning rate does not undergo significant changes. From this study, it is observed that the propellant ages through a combination of reactions like post-cure, oxidative cross-linking, chain scission, and hydrolysis. The chain scission and the hydrolysis effect are the most significant process, which makes the propellant soft and extendible. The observed aging mechanism has been modeled using an exponential function with two terms which can describe the complex behavior of the aging. By applying Arrhenius equation,the activation energy values were obtained based on the propellant mechanical properties. 13Coupled Lagrangian impingement spray model for doublet impinging injectors under liquid rocket engine operating conditions显示文摘To predict the effect of the liquid rocket engine combustion chamber conditions on the impingement spray, the conventional uncoupled spray model for impinging injectors is extended by considering the coupling of the jet impingement process and the ambient gas field. The new coupled model consists of the plain-orifice sub-model, the jet-jet impingement sub-model and the droplet collision sub-model. The parameters of the child droplet are determined with the jet-jet impingement sub-model using correlations about the liquid jet parameters and the chamber conditions.The overall model is benchmarked under various impingement angles, jet momentum and offcenter ratios. Agreement with the published experimental data validates the ability of the model to predict the key spray characteristics, such as the mass flux and mixture ratio distributions in quiescent air. Besides, impinging sprays under changing ambient pressure and non-uniform gas flow are investigated to explore the effect of liquid rocket engine chamber conditions. First, a transient impingement spray during engine start-up phase is simulated with prescribed pressure profile. The minimum average droplet diameter is achieved when the orifices work in cavitation state, and is about 30% smaller than the steady single phase state. Second, the effect of non-uniform gas flow produces off-center impingement and the rotated spray fan by 38°. 14Observations of equatorial plasma bubbles during the geomagnetic storm of October 2016显示文摘We investigated the variations of equatorial plasma bubbles(EPBs)in the East-Asian sector during a strong geomagnetic storm in October 2016,based on observations from the Beidou geostationary(GEO)satellites,Swarm satellite and ground-based ionosonde.Significant nighttime depletions of F region in situ electron density from Swarm and obvious nighttime EPBs in the Beidou GEO observations were observed on 13 October 2016 during the main phase.Moreover,one interesting feature is that the rare and unique sunrise EPBs were triggered on 14 October 2016 in the main phase rather than during the recovery phase as reported by previous studies.In addition,the nighttime EPBs were suppressed during the whole recovery phase,and absent from 14 to 19 October 2016.Meanwhile,the minimum virtual height of F trace(h’F)at Sanya(18.3°N,109.6°E,MLAT 11.1°N)displayed obvious changes during these intervals.The h’F was enhanced in the main phase and declined during the recovery phase,compared with the values at pre-and post-storm.These results indicate that the enhanced nighttime EPBs and sunrise EPBs during the main phase and the absence nighttime EPBs for many days during the recovery phase could be associated with storm-time electric field changes.FuQing Huang JiuHou Lei Chao Xiong JiaHao Zhong GuoZhu Li 2021Earth and Planetary Physics2021,5,5:3
15Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 17Fault diagnosis of chemical processes based on partitioning PCA and variable reasoning strategy显示文摘Fault detection and identification are challenging tasks in chemical processes, the aim of which is to decide out of control samples and find fault sensors timely and effectively. This paper develops a partitioning principal component analysis(PPCA) method for process monitoring. A variable reasoning strategy is proposed and applied to recognize multiple fault variables. Compared with traditional process monitoring methods, the PPCA strategy not only reflects the local behavior of process variation in each model(each direction of principal components),but also improves the monitoring performance through the combination of local monitoring results. Then, a variable reasoning strategy is introduced to locate fault variables. Unlike the contribution plot, this method locates normal and fault variables effectively, and gives initiatory judgment for ambiguous variables. 18The possibility of using all-sky meteor radar to observe ionospheric E-region field-aligned irregularities显示文摘All-sky meteor radars are primarily used for meteor observations. This paper reports the first observations of ionospheric Eregion field-aligned irregularities(FAIs) from a conventional all-sky meteor radar located at Wuhan(31°N, 114°E) for the period of March–June 2018. E-region FAI echoes evident in range-time intensity(RTI) maps show quasiperiodic striations with positive and negative slopes, which are consistent with multiple FAI structures moving across the wide beam of the meteor radar. A statistical analysis shows that out of a total of 111 d, there are 73 d with E-region FAI echoes detected by the meteor radar. The FAI events correspond well with the presence of sporadic-E layers which provide the necessary plasma density gradient for the development of gradient drift instability producing FAIs. The results demonstrate the capability of conventional meteor radars to make simultaneous routine observations of meteors and ionospheric E-region FAIs through incorporating RTI and spectral analysis into the online realtime data processing. 19Simulation of mass and heat transfer in liquid hydrogen tanks during pressurizing显示文摘In order to accurately predict the heat and mass transfer behaviors and analyze key factors affecting pressurization process in the hydrogen tank, a comprehensive 2 D axial symmetry Volume-Of-Fluid(VOF) model is established by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) method.The effects of phase change, turbulence and mass diffusion are included in the model and relationships between physical properties and temperature are also comprehensively considered. The phase change model is based on Hertz-Knudsen equation and the mass transfer time relaxation factor is determined by the NASA’s experimental data. The mass diffusion model is included in gaseous helium pressurizing. The key factors including the inlet temperature, inlet mass flow rate, injector types and pressurizing gas kinds are quantitatively analyzed. Compared with the experiment, the simulation results show that the deviation of pressurizing gas mass consumption, condensing mass and ullage temperature are 3.0%, 7.5% and 4.0% respectively. The temperature stratification is existed along the axial direction in the surface liquid region and the ullage region, and the bulk liquid is in subcooled state during pressurizing. The location of phase change mainly appears near the vapor–liquid interface, and the mass transfer expressing as condensation or vaporization is mainly determined by the heat convection and molecular concentration near the vapor–liquid interface.The key factors show that increasing the inlet temperature and inlet mass flow rate could shorten the pressurizing time interval and save the pressurizing gas mass. The proportion of the total energy addition of the tank absorbed by the ullage region, the liquid region and the tank wall respectively is greatly influenced by the injector types and more heat transferred into the ullage would result in a faster pressure rising rate. Gaseous hydrogen pressurization has a higher efficiency than gaseous helium pressurization. 20First results of optical meteor and meteor trail irregularity from simultaneous Sanya radar and video observations显示文摘Meteoroids entering the Earth's atmosphere can create meteor trail irregularity seriously disturbing the background ionosphere. Although numerous observations of meteor trail irregularities were performed with VHF/UHF coherent scatter radars in the past, no simultaneous radar and optical instruments were employed to investigate the characteristics of meteor trail irregularity and its corresponding meteoroid. By installing multiple video cameras near the Sanya VHF radar site, an observational campaign was conducted during the period from November 2016 to February 2017. A total of 242 optical meteors with simultaneous non-specular echoes backscattered from the plasma irregularities generated in the corresponding meteor trails were identified. A good agreement between the angular positions of non-specular echoes derived from the Sanya radar interferometer and those of optical meteors was found,validating that the radar system phase offsets have been properly calibrated. The results also verify the interferometry capability of Sanya radar for meteor trail irregularity observation. The non-specular echoes with simultaneous optical meteors were detected at magnetic aspect angles greater than ~78°. Based on the meteor visual magnitude estimated from the optical data, it was found that the radar nonspecular echoes corresponding to brighter meteors survived for longer duration. This could provide observational evidence for the significance of meteoroid mass on the duration of meteor trail irregularity. On the other hand, the simultaneous radar and video common-volume observations showed that there were some cases with optical meteors but without radar non-specular echoes.
