Types and Characteristics of the Lower Silurian Shale Gas Reservoirs in and Around the Sichuan Basin显示文摘This study analyzed the characteristics and types of the Lower Silurian shale gas reservoirs in and around Sichuan Basin through field observations, slices, Ar-ion-beam milling, scanning electron microscopy, and x-ray diffraction analysis of 25 black shale outcrops and samples. Two main types of shale gas reservoirs were determined, i.e., fractures and pores. Fractures were classified into five categories, i.e., giant, large, medium, small, and micro, according to the features of the shale gas reservoirs, effect of fracture on gas accumulation, and fracture nature. Pore types include organic matter pores, mineral pores(mineral surface, intraparticle, interparticle, and corrosional pore), and nanofractures. The various fracture types, fracture scales, pore types, and pore sizes exert different controls over the gas storage and production capacity. Pores serve as a reservoir for gas storage and, the gas storage capacity can be determined using pores; fractures serve as pathways for gas migration, and gas production capacity can be determined using them.NIE Haikuan ZHANG Jinchuan JIANG Shengling 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,6:17
De novo assembly of a Chinese soybean genome显示文摘Soybean was domesticated in China and has become one of the most important oilseed crops. Due to bottlenecks in their introduction and dissemination, soybeans from different geographic areas exhibit extensive genetic diversity. Asia is the largest soybean market; therefore, a high-quality soybean reference genome from this area is critical for soybean research and breeding. Here, we report the de novo assembly and sequence analysis of a Chinese soybean genome for 'Zhonghuang 13' by a combination of SMRT, Hi-C and optical mapping data. The assembled genome size is 1.025 Gb with a contig N50 of 3.46 Mb and a scaffold N50 of 51.87 Mb. Comparisons between this genome and the previously reported reference genome(cv. Williams82) uncovered more than 250,000 structure variations. A total of 52,051 protein coding genes and 36,429 transposable elements were annotated for this genome, and a gene co-expression network including 39,967 genes was also established. This high quality Chinese soybean genome and its sequence analysis will provide valuable information for soybean improvement in the future.Yanting Shen Jing Liu Haiying Geng Jixiang Zhang Yucheng Liu Haikuan Zhang Shilai Xing Jianchang Du Shisong Ma Zhixi Tian 2018Science China(Life Sciences)2018,61,8:11
A new alternating copolymerized derivative as a cold flow improver for diesel fuel显示文摘Synthesis of a cold flow improver(MAVA-a) for diesel fuel and its effect on solidifying point(SP) and cold filter plugging point(CFPP) of diesel fuels were investigated. The cold flow improver was prepared by using maleic anhydride(MA) and vinyl acetate(VA) as raw materials, toluene as solvent, dibenzoyl peroxide(BPO) as initiator, through alternating polymerization under nitrogen to obtain a binary-polymer and then through aminolysis by using a higher carbon amine as aminating agent at a temperature of 80 °C.A cold flow improver was designed and prepared for No.0 diesel fuel from Zhang Jia-Gang Petrochemical Company according to the contents of n-paraffin and its carbon number distribution in the No.0 diesel fuel.It was also used together with two kinds of ethene-vinyl acetate copolymer improvers(EVA) separately. The test result showed that the CFPP of the No.0 diesel fuel could be lowered by 3-5 °C when the improver MAVA-a was used. The CFPP was lowered by 8 °C when the improver MAVA-a was used together with EVA-2.ZHANG Haikuan LIU Hongyan WANG Shujun 2009Petroleum Science2009,6,1:3
The genome of the recretohalophyte Limonium bicolor provides insights into salt gland development and salinity adaptation during terrestrial evolution显示文摘Halophytes have evolved specialized strategies to cope with high salinity. The extreme halophyte sea lavender(Limonium bicolor)lacks trichomes but possesses salt glands on its epidermis that can excrete harmful ions, such as sodium,to avoid salt damage. Here,we report a high-quality,2.92-Gb,chromosome-scale L.bicolor genome assembly based on a combination of Illumina short reads,single-molecule,real-time long reads, chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)data,and Bionano genome maps, greatly enriching the genomic information on recretohalophytes with multicellular salt glands.Although the L.bicolor genome contains genes that show similarity to trichome fate genes from Arabidopsis thaliana,it lacks homologs of the decision fate genes GLABRA3,ENHANCER OF GLABRA3,GLABRA2,TRANSPARENT TESTA GLABRA2,and SIAMESE,providing a molecular explanation for the absence of trichomes in this species. We identified key genes(LbHLH and LbTTG1)controlling salt gland development among classical trichome homologous genes and confirmed their roles by showing that their mutations markedly disrupted salt gland initiation, salt secretion, and salt tolerance, thus offering genetic support for the long-standing hypothesis that salt glands and trichomes may share a common origin. In addition,a whole-genome duplication event occurred in the L.bicolor genome after its divergence from Tartary buckwheat and may have contributed to its adaptation to high salinity. The L.bicolor genome resource and genetic evidence reported in this study provide profound insights into plant salt tolerance mechanisms that may facilitate the engineering of salt-tolerant crops.Fang Yuan Xi Wang Boqing Zhao Xiaojing Xu Miao Shi Bingying Leng Xinxiu Dong Chaoxia Lu Zhongtao Feng Jianrong Guo Guoliang Han Haikuan Zhang Jianwei Huang Min Chen Bao-Shan Wang 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,6:3
Enrichment characteristics and exploration directions of deep shale gas of Ordovician-Silurian in the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas,China显示文摘The enrichment characteristics of deep shale gas in the Ordovician Wufeng-Silurian Longmaxi formations in the Sichuan Basin and its surrounding areas are investigated through experiments under high temperature and high pressure, including petrophysical properties analyses, triaxial stress test and isothermal adsorption of methane experiment.(1)The deep shale reservoirs drop significantly in porosity and permeability compared with shallower shale reservoirs, and contain mainly free gas.(2)With higher deviatoric stress and axial strain, the deep shale reservoirs have higher difficulty fracturing.(3)Affected by structural location and morphology, fracture characteristics, geofluid activity stages and intensity, deep shale gas reservoirs have more complicated preservation conditions.(4)To achieve the commercial development of deep shale gas reservoirs, deepening geological understanding is the basis, and exploring reservoir simulation technology befitting the geological features is the key.(5)The siliceous shale and limestone-bearing siliceous shale in the Metabolograptus persculptus-Parakidograptus acuminatus zones(LM1-LM3 graptolite zones)are the high-production intervals for deep shale gas and the most favorable landing targets for horizontal drilling.Deeps water areas such as Jiaoshiba,Wulong,Luzhou and Changning with deep shale reservoirs over 10 m thickness are the most favorable areas for deep shale gas enrichment. It is recommended to carry out exploration and development practice in deep-water shale gas areas deposited deep with burial depth no more than 5000 m where the geological structure is simple and the shale thickness in the LM1-LM3 graptolite zone is greater than 10 m.It is better to increase the lateral length of horizontal wells, and apply techniques including high intensity of perforations, large volume of proppant,far-field and near-wellbore diversions to maximize the stimulated deep reservoir volume.NIE Haikuan LI Pei DANG Wei DING Jianghui SUN Chuanxiang LIU Mi WANG Jin DU Wei ZHANG Peixian LI Donghui SU Haikun 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,4:3
Geochemistry, Petrology and Mineralogy of Coal Measure Shales in the Middle Jurassic Yanan Formation from Northeastern Ordos Basin, China: Implications for Shale Gas Accumulation显示文摘The Jurassic Yanan Formation is one of the most important coal-producing formations and hydrocarbon source rocks in the Ordos Basin, North China. To evaluate the shale gas potential of the Yanan shale, a total of 48 samples from north Ordos Basin were sampled, and their geochemical, petrological, mineralogical and pore characteristics were investigated. It was found that the shale samples are a suite of early mature source rock. The total organic carbon(TOC) content ranges from 0.33% to 24.12% and the hydrogen index(HI) ranges from 43.31 mg/g to 330.58 mg/g. The relationship between Tmax and HI indicates the organic matter is type Ⅱ-Ⅲ. This conclusion is also supported by the organic petrological examination results, which shows that the kerogen is mainly liptinite and vitrinite. Minerals in the samples are composed mainly of quartz, clay and feldspar, and the clay minerals are composed of prevailing kaolinite, illite/smectite, chlorite and a small amount of illite. Under scanning electron microscope, OM pores in the Yanan shale are scarce except pores come from the kerogen intrinsic texture or clay aggregates within the organic particles. As the weak compaction caused by shallow burial depth, interparticle pores and intraparticle pores are common, the hydrocarbon storage capacity of the Yanan shale was improved. According to evaluation, the Yanan shale is considered as a good shale gas reservoir, but its hydrocarbon potential is more dependent on biogenic and coal-derived gas as the thermogenic gas is limited by the lower thermal maturity.CHEN Qian YAN Xiangbin GUO Yuanling HONG Taiyuan NIE Haikuan ZHANG Jinchuan TANG Xuan LI Wanjun LIU Chong 2018Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,6:2

Genomes of 12 fig wasps provide insights into the adaptation of pollinators to fig syconia显示文摘Figs and fig pollinators are one of the few classic textbook examples of obligate pollination mutualism. The specific dependence of fig pollinators on the relatively safe living environment with sufficient food sources in the enclosed fig syconia implies that they are vulnerable to habitat changes. However, there is still no extensive genomic evidence to reveal the evolutionary footprint of this long-term mutually beneficial symbiosis in fig pollinators. In fig syconia, there are also non-pollinator species. The non-pollinator species differ in their evolutionary and life histories from pollinators. We conducted comparative analyses on 11 newly sequenced fig wasp genomes and one previously published genome. The pollinators colonized the figs approximately 66.9 million years ago, consistent with the origin of host figs.Compared with nonpollinators, many more genes in pollinators were subject to relaxed selection.Seven genes were absent in pollinators in response to environmental stress and immune activation.Pollinators had more streamlined gene repertoires in the innate immune system, chemosensory toolbox, and detoxification system. Our results provide genomic evidence for the differentiation between pollinators and nonpollinators. The data suggest that owing to the long-term adaptation to the fig, some genes related to functions no longer required are absent in pollinators.Jinhua Xiao Xianqin Wei Yi Zhou Zhaozhe Xin Yunheng Miao Hongxia Hou Jiaxing Li Dan Zhao Jing Liu Rui Chen Liming Niu Guangchang Ma Wenquan Zhen Shunmin He Jianxia Wang Xunfan Wei Weihao Dou Zhuoxiao Sui Haikuan Zhang Shilai Xing Miao Shi Dawei Huang 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,3:1

Introduction of CMCD in Deepwater显示文摘Overview of CMCD CMCD here refers to the one of Manage Pressure Drilling (MPD). Application of CMCD in deepwater is closely related with the development of marine riser and subsea BOP. LRRS includes high pressure marine riser, split BOP and mud-lift pump. CMCD can achieve the control of bottom hole pressure efficiently through LRRS. CMCD with LRRS has some distinguished advantages in deepwater drilling such as reduction of platform load,Zhou Chuan Li Shanyun Zhang Haikuan Wang Yanfeng Chi Yu Xie Li 2009China Oil & Gas2009,16,2:0
An overview of the geology and production of the Fuling shale gas field,Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘The Fuling shale gas field in China is the largest shale gas field as well as the largest of its type discovered in any Lower Paleozoic formation. In this study, the geology and production of the upper and lower gas layers in the Fuling shale gas field are evaluated in terms of structure, shale quality, fault, initial production, and estimated ultimate recovery(EUR).The shale in the lower gas layer of the Jiaoshiba anticline is a high-quality reservoir, where the space is dominated by organic pores in kerogen, and the gas content is high. The shale gas wells reveal relatively high initial production and EUR.However, the shale in the upper gas layer of the Jiaoshiba anticline has reservoir space mainly composed of clay mineral pores and organic pores within bitumen, and the gas content is low.In terms of structure, primary gas migration may occur in the upper gas layer, resulting in free gas accumulation in the structural high, where the development effects are generally better than those in the structural low.The lower gas layer in the Pingqiao anticline,is the main interval for shale gas accumulation and development due to the high-quality shale.Under the influence of faults, the efficiency of exploration wells emplaced on top of the anticline is much lower a compared with those in the flanks. The residual synclines close to the Sichuan Basin, including the Baima and Baitao anticlines, are characterized by more recent uplifts, larger area, greater distance from the deep and large faults, and early fracture closure. Therefore,we recommend that the shale gas exploration and development should be carried out preferentially in areas close to the center of the residual synclines, featuring relatively high-pressure coefficient and moderate burial depth.Haikuan Nie Donghui Li Guangxiang Liu Zhiyuan Lu Hu Wang Ruyue Wang Guangrong Zhang 2020Energy Geoscience2020,1,3:0
