| 1 | Seismic isolation effect of lined circular tunnels with damping treatments显示文摘The Havriliak-Negami model for dynamic viscoelastic material behavior and Biot’s theory of poroelasticity are employed to develop an exact solution for three-dimensional scattering effect of harmonic plane P–SV waves from a circular cavity lined with a multilayered fluid-filled shell of infinite length containing viscoelastic damping materials and embedded within a fluid-saturated permeable surrounding soil medium. The analytical results are illustrated with numerical examples where the effects of liner/coating structural arrangement, viscoelastic material properties, liner-soil interface bonding condition, seismic excitation frequency, and angle of incidence on the induced dynamic stress concentrations are evaluated and discussed to obtain representative values of the parameters that characterize the system. It is demonstrated that incorporating viscoelastic damping materials with a low shear modulus in the constrained layer configuration is an efficient means of enhancing the overall seismic isolation performance, especially for near-normally incident seismic shear waves where the amplitudes of induced dynamic stresses may be reduced by up to one-third of those without isolation in a relatively wide frequency range. Some additional cases are considered and good agreements with solutions available in the literature are obtained. | Seyyed M. Hasheminejad Amir K. | 2 | A rapid synthesis of high surface area PdRu nanosponges:Composition-dependent electrocatalytic activity for formic acid oxidation显示文摘Here, Pd Ru nanoparticle networks(NPNs) with various compositions were synthesized through an inexpensive method in water as a green solvent, at different ratios of the H_2PdCl_4 and RuCl_3 precursors. This is a fast, room temperature and surfactant free strategy which is able to form high surface area metal nanosponges with a three-dimensional(3D) porous structure. The structure of as-prepared nanosponges was characterized using the techniques of field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and cyclic voltammetry(CV). Then, the electrocatalytic activities of Pd Ru NPNs towards formic acid oxidation were examined by electrochemical measurements including CV,chronoamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). Based on studies, it was found that the current density of formic acid oxidation(FAO) is strongly dependent on the composition of Pd Ru NPNs. The best performance was realized for Pd_4Ru_1 NPNs compared to monometallic Pd counterpart and other bimetallic NPNs which might be ascribed to the role of Ru in the decrease of CO adsorption strength on the catalyst and consequently the priority of formic acid oxidation through the direct pathway. The Pd_4Ru_1 NPNs also showed the maximum current density and stability in chronoamperometric measurements. In addition, comparative studies were performed between as-prepared NPNs and CNTs-supported Pd nanoparticles(Pd NPs/CNTs). The present results demonstrated the unique structural advantages of NPNs compared to individual Pd NPs supported on the CNT which leads to the promising performance of NPNs as supportless catalysts for the oxidation of formic acid. | Ehteram Hasheminejad Reza Ojani Jahan Bakhsh Raoof | 2017 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,4: | 2 |

| 5 | Coupled hydroelastic vibrations of an elliptical cylindrical tank with an elastic bottom显示文摘An exact three-dimensional analysis based on the linear potential theory and the elaborated method of eigenfunction expansion in elliptic coordinates are presented to study the free coupled elasto-hyrodynamic characteristics of an upright non-deformable cylindrical container of elliptical planform with a flexible bottom plate, filled to an arbitrary depth with an inviscid incompressible liquid. Extensive numerical data are presented in an orderly fashion for the first few symmetric/anti-symmetric coupled hydroelastic natural frequencies as a function of fluid depth parameter for two plate aspect ratios. Also, selected hydrodynamic and structural deformation modes shapes are presented in graphical form. The effects of liquid level, bottom plate elasticity, and cross sectional aspect ratio on the sloshing frequencies and hydrodynamic pressure modes are examined. The validity of the results is examined through computations using a commercial finite element package as well as by comparison with the data available in literature. | HASHEMINEJAD Seyyed M.
