| 1 | 上海市市区350例胰腺癌病理特征的初步分析显示文摘目的:初步分析上海市市区常住居民胰腺癌的病理特征。方法:2006年12月—2011年1月在上海市市区开展以人群为基础的大规模胰腺癌病例-对照研究,共收集387例病理切片,由上海市5名资深病理医师对所有病例的病理切片进行复查。根据WHO胰腺肿瘤组织学分类(2010年第4版)进行病理分型。结果:确诊胰腺癌350例(90.4%),病理标本以切除标本为主(311/350,88.9%)。胰腺肿瘤平均直径4cm,198例(56.6%)发生在胰头,组织学类型以导管腺癌最常见(311例,89.0%),其次为胰腺神经内分泌肿瘤15例(4.3%)。组织学分级以Ⅱ/Ⅲ级最多见(252例)。TNM分期:40例为ⅠA期,209例为ⅠB期和ⅡA期,80例为ⅡB期。明确神经侵犯者175例,有淋巴管和(或)静脉内癌栓者56例。病理复查仅发现1例误诊。结论:通过病理复查提高了对上海市市区胰腺癌病理特征的认识。 | 纪元 沈铭昌 金晓龙 朱明华 王虹 倪泉兴 张薇 王婧 孙璐 YU Herbert RISCH Harvey 高玉堂 | 2012 | 肿瘤2012,32,3: | 9 |
| 2 | An online maximum power point capturing technique for highefficiency power generation of solar photovoltaic systems显示文摘This paper proposes a novel high-efficiency generation technique for photovoltaic(PV) system,named maximum power point capturing(MPPC) technique. This is an aperiodic perturbation MPPC technique compared to the conventional periodic perturbation maximum power point tracking technique. Firstly, under a closed-loop circuit and an open-loop circuit,the complete I-V curves and P-V curves are defined. Secondly, the proposed MPPC technique is based on the complete I-V curves and a practical model of solar PV systems.The proposed method realizes that maximum power point(MPP) is captured online, and its control strategy is designed to set a steady operating area around MPP. The duty cycle keeps constant when the operating point is within the steady operating area, i.e., aperiodic perturbation, and when the operating point is outside the steady operating area, MPPC is triggered to capture a new MPP with an updated steady operating area. Simulation results demonstrate that no oscillations exist in steady-state;dynamic performances are improved;and only two perturbations are required to capture the new MPP. | 3 | Promoter methylation of Wnt/β-Catenin signal inhibitor TMEM88 is associated with unfavorable prognosis of nonsmall cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective:Recent research has indicated that altered promoter methylation of oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes is an important mechanism in lung cancer development and progression.In this study,we investigated the association between promoter methylation of TMEM88,a possible inhibitor of the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling,and the survival of patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:Twelve pairs of tumor and adjacent non-tumor samples were used for microarray analyses of DNA methylation and gene expression.For validation,more than two hundred additional samples were analyzed for methylation using bisulfite pyrosequencing and for gene expression using q RT-PCR.Then the cell function were tested by wound healing,transwell,CCK8 and cell cycle assay.Results:Our analysis of patient specimens showed that TMEM88 methylation was higher in NSCLC tumors(82.2%±10.3,P<0.01)compared with the adjacent normal tissues(65.9%±7.2).The survival analysis revealed that patients with high TMEM88methylation had a shorter overall survival(46 months)compared with patients with low TMEM88 methylation(>56 months;P=0.021).In addition,we found that demethylation treatment could inhibit tumor cell proliferation,migration,and invasion,which was supportive of an association between methylation and survival.Conclusions:Based on these consistent observations,we concluded that TMEM88 may play an important role in NSCLC progression and that promoter methylation of TMEM88 may serve as a biomarker for NSCLC prognosis and treatment. | Rongna Ma Nannan Feng Xiao Yu Hongyan Lin Xiaohong Zhang Oumin Shi Huan Zhang Shuo Zhang Lei Li Min Zheng Ming Gao Herbert Yu Biyun Qian | 2017 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2017,14,4: | 6 |
| 4 | Knockdown of long non-coding RNA LCPAT1 inhibits autophagy in lung cancer显示文摘Objective: Long non-coding RNAs(lnc RNAs) are involved in numerous biological processes in lung cancer cells. In our previous studies, we identified a lnc RNA, ENST00000439577, which is highly expressed in lung carcinomas, and termed it lung cancer progression-associated transcript 1(LCPAT1). To characterize the role of LCPAT1 in lung cancer, we conducted the current study.Methods: Expression of LCPAT1 and autophagy-associated markers in tumor tissues and lung cancer cell lines was determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR). Hematoxylin and eosin(HE) staining, q PCR, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry were performed to evaluate xenografted tumor tissues. Autophagy induced by rapamycin was detected by Western blot and immunofluorescence in lung cancer cell lines.Results: Expression of LCPAT1 and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta(LC3B) was positively correlated in lung cancer. Knockdown of LCPAT1 inhibited tumor growth and suppressed cell autophagy in vivo. | 6 | Meta-Analysis of the Association between Mir-196a-2 Polymorphism and Cancer Susceptibility显示文摘Objective MicroRNA plays a vital role in gene expression,and microRNA dysregulation is involved in carcinogenesis.The miR- 196a-2 polymorphism rsll614913 is reportedly associated with cancer susceptibility.This meta-analysis was performed to assess the overall association of miR-196a-2 with cancer risk. Methods A total of 27 independent case-control studies involving 10,435 cases and 12,075 controls were analyzed for the rsll614913 polymorphism. Results A significant association was found between rsll614913 polymorphism and cancer risk in four genetic models(CT vs.TT, OR=1.15,95%CI=1.05-1.27;CC vs.TT,OR=1.23,95%CI=1.08-1.39;Dominant model,OR=1.17,95%CI=1.06-1.30;Additive model, OR=1.08,95%CI=1.01-1.14).In the subgroup analysis of different tumor types,the C allele was associated with increased risk of lung, breast,and colorectal cancer,but not with liver,gastric,or esophageal cancer.In the subgroup analysis by ethnicity,a significantly increased risk of cancer was found among Asians in all genetic models,but no associations were found in the Caucasian subgroup. | 10 | Effect of chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans on neuronal cell adhesion, spreading and neurite growth in culture显示文摘As one major component of extracellular matrix(ECM) in the central nervous system, chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans(CSPGs) have long been known as inhibitors enriched in the glial scar that prevent axon regeneration after injury. Although many studies have shown that CSPGs inhibited neurite outgrowth in vitro using different types of neurons, the mechanism by which CSPGs inhibit axonal growth remains poorly understood. Using cerebellar granule neuron(CGN) culture, in this study, we evaluated the effects of different concentrations of both immobilized and soluble CSPGs on neuronal growth, including cell adhesion, spreading and neurite growth. Neurite length decreased while CSPGs concentration arised, meanwhile, a decrease in cell density accompanied by an increase in cell aggregates formation was observed. Soluble CSPGs also showed an inhibition on neurite outgrowth, but it required a higher concentration to induce cell aggregates formation than coated CSPGs. We also found that growth cone size was significantly reduced on CSPGs and neuronal cell spreading was restrained by CSPGs, attributing to an inhibition on lamellipodial extension. The effect of CSPGs on neuron adhesion was further evidenced by interference reflection microscopy(IRM) which directly demonstrated that both CGNs and cerebral cortical neurons were more loosely adherent to a CSPG substrate. | 11 | Re-evaluation of ABO gene polymorphisms detected in a genomewide association study and risk of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in a Chinese population显示文摘Pancreatic cancer is a fatal malignancy with an increasing incidence in Shanghai, China. A genomewide association study(GWAS) and other work have shown that ABO alleles are associated with pancreatic cancer risk. We conducted a population-based case-control study involving 256 patients with pathologically confirmed pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC) and 548 healthy controls in Shanghai, China, to assess the relationships between GWAS-identified ABO alleles and risk of PDAC. Carriers of the C allele of rs505922 had an increased cancer risk [adjusted odds ratio(OR) = 1.42, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.02-1.98] compared to TT carriers. The T alleles of rs495828 and rs657152 were also significantly associated with an elevated cancer risk(adjusted OR = 1.58, 95% CI: 1.17-2.14; adjusted OR = 1.51, 95% CI: 1.09-2.10). The rs630014 variant was not associated with risk. We did not find any significant gene-environment interaction with cancer risk using a multifactor dimensionality reduction(MDR) method. Haplotype analysis also showed that the haplotype CTTC was associated with an increased risk of PDAC(adjusted OR = 1.46, 95% CI: 1.12-1.91) compared with haplotype TGGT. | 12 | Excitation of extremely low-frequency chorus emissions: The role of background plasma density显示文摘Low-frequency chorus emissions have recently attracted much attention due to the suggestion that they may play important roles in the dynamics of the Van Allen Belts.However, the mechanism(s) generating these low-frequency chorus emissions have not been well understood..In this letter, we report an interesting case in which background plasma density lowered the lower cutoff frequency of chorus emissions from above 0.1 f_(ce)(typical ordinary chorus) to 0.02 f_(ce)(extremely low-frequency chorus).Those extremely low-frequency chorus waves were observed in a rather dense plasma, where the number density N_e was found to be several times larger than has been associated with observations of ordinary chorus waves.For suprathermal electrons whose free energy is supplied by anisotropic temperatures, linear growth rates(calculated using in-situ plasma parameters measured by the Van Allen Probes) show that whistler mode instability can occur at frequencies below 0.1 f_(ce) when the background plasma density N_e increases.Especially when N_e reaches 90 cm–3 or more, the lowest unstable frequency can extend to 0.02 f_(ce) or even less, which is consistent with satellite observations.Therefore, our results demonstrate that a dense background plasma could play an essential role in the excitation of extremely lowfrequency chorus waves by controlling the wave growth rates. | XiongDong Yu ZhiGang Yuan ShiYong Huang Fei Yao Zheng Qiao John R.Wygant Herbert O.Funsten | 2019 | Earth and Planetary Physics2019,3,1: | 2 |
