| 1 | Chronic permanent hypoxemia predisposes to mild elevation of liver stiffness显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the impact of long term permanent hypoxemia noticed in patients with non operated congenital cyanogenic cyanotic cardiopathy on liver stiffness.METHODS:We included ten adult patients with non operated inoperate cyanotic cardiopathy and ten matched patients for age and gender admitted to the gastroenterology department for proctologic diseases;Clinical and laboratory data were collected[age,gender,body mass index,oxygen saturation,glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase(GOT),glutamate pyruvate transaminase(GPT),glycemia and cholesterol].Measurement of hepatic stiffness by transient elastography was carried out in all patients using the Fibroscan device.All patients underwent an echocardiography to eliminate congestive heart failure.RESULTS:Among the patients with cyanotic cardiopathy,median liver stiffness 5.9±1.3 kPa was greater than control group(4.7±0.4 kPa)(P=0.008).Median levels of GOT,GPT,gamma-glutamyltransferase,glycemia and cholesterol were comparable in cardiopathy and control group.In regression analysis including age,gender,body mass index,oxygen saturation,GOT,GPT,glycemia,cholesterol showed that only oxygen saturation was related to liver stiffness(r=-0.63 P=0.002).CONCLUSION:Chronic permanent hypoxemia can induce mild increase of liver stiffness,but further studies are needed to explore the histological aspects of liver injury induced by chronic permanent hypoxemia. | Mohamed Tahiri Abdenasser Drighil Yasmine Jalal Dounia Ghellab Wafaa Hliwa Haddad Fouad Wafaa Badre Ahmad Bellabah Rachida Habbal Rhimou Alaoui | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，30： | 5 |

| 7 | Risk factors for liver fibrosis among human immunodeficiency virus monoinfected patients using the FIB4 index in Morocco显示文摘AIM: To study the prevalence and risk factors of significant hepatic fibrosis in Moroccan human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) monoinfected patients.METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional study among HIV monoinfected patients(negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody). Clinical and laboratory data were collected from the data base of the Infectious Diseases Unit in Ibn Rochd Hospital Center [age, gender, duration of HIV infection, CD4 T lymphocyte count, HIV viral load, glycemia and current or prior use of antiretroviral and antiretroviral therapy(ART) duration]. The primary outcome was a FIB4score > 1.45. Multivariable logistic regression identifiedindependent risk factors for FIB4 > 1.45.RESULTS: A FIB4 score > 1.45 was identified in 96among 619(15.5%). HIV monoinfected patients followed up between September 1990 and September2012. Multivariate analysis showed that only a viral load > 75(OR = 2.23, 95%CI: 1.36-3.67), CD4 > 200cells/mm3(OR = 0.39, 95%CI: 0.21-0.72) and age at FIB4 index calculation(OR = 1.10, 95%CI: 1.07-1.13)were independently associated with the occurrence of FIB4 index(> 1.45). Gender, duration of HIV infection,glycemia, use of antiretroviral therapy and ART duration were not associated with significant fibrosis by FIB4.CONCLUSION: FIB4 score > 1.45 was found in 15.5%of Moroccan HIV monoinfected patients. Age, HIV viremia > 75 copies/mL and CD4 count > 200 cells/mm3are associated with liver fibrosis. | 9 | STM Manipulation of Molecular Moulds on Metal Surfaces显示文摘Molecular Landers are a class of compounds containing an aromatic board as well as bulky side groups which upon adsorption of the molecule on a surface may lift the molecular board away from the substrate.Different molecular Landers have extensively been studied as model systems for nanomachines and the formation of molecular wires,as well as for their function as“molecular moulds”,i.e.,acting as templates by accommodating metal atoms underneath their aromatic board.Here,we investigate the adsorption of a novel Lander molecule 1,4-bis(4-(2,4-diaminotriazine)phenyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrakis(4-tert-butylphenyl)benzene(DAT,C_(64)H_(68)N_(10))on Cu(110)and Au(111)surfaces under ultrahigh vacuum(UHV)conditions.By means of scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)imaging and manipulation,we characterize the morphology and binding geometries of DAT molecules at terraces and step edges.On the Cu(110)surface,various contact configurations of individual DAT Landers were formed at the step edges in a controlled manner,steered by STM manipulation,including lateral translation,rotation,and pushing molecules to an upper terrace.The diffusion barrier of single DAT molecules on Au(111)is considerably smaller than on Cu(110).The DAT Lander is specially designed with diamino-triazine side groups making it suitable for future studies of molecular self-assembly by hydrogen-bonding interactions.The results presented here are an important guide to the choice of substrate for future studies using this compound. | Miao Yu Wei Xu Youness Benjalal Regis Barattin Erik Lægsgaard Ivan Stensgaard Mohamed Hliwa Xavier Bouju AndréGourdon Christian Joachim Trolle R.Linderoth Flemming Besenbacher | 2009 | Nano Research2009，2，3： | 0 |
| 10 | Differences in predator-avoidance behavior between two invasive gobies and their native competitors显示文摘Globally,fish are frequently introduced beyond their native range.Some,like Ponto-Caspian gobies,are becoming invasive,achieving high colo-nization rates and constituting frequent prey for native predators.However,little is known about the effectiveness of antipredator behaviors of the invaders,which may shape their role in the invaded community and contribute to the invasion success.We compared antipredator behaviors of invasive gobies and native fish species after their detection by the predator,when the danger becomes direct.We studied 2 fish pairs,each consisting of an invasive and native species co-occurring in the environment and belonging to the same prey guild:(1)the racer goby Babka gymnotrachelus versus European bulhead Cottus gobio,(2)the monkey goby Neogobius fluviatilis versus gudgeon Gobio gobio,facing a naive predator(the Eurasian perch Perca fluviatilis).We analyzed behaviors of single prey individuals(escaping,staying in shelter,and activity)and sin-gle predators(activity,searching,following,capturing,and latency to prey consumption).In the predator presence,the bullhead was less active and more often managed to escape after capture than the racer goby.The gudgeon escaped before the capture more often than the monkey goby.The predator succeeded later with the bullhead compared to racer goby,whereas no differences in ingestion time occurred between the gudgeon and monkey goby.The results suggest that,in terms of hunting effort of native predators,the invasive gobies are equivalent to or more profitable prey than their native analogs,which can facilitate the integration of the gobies into local food webs. | Mateusz Augustyniak Kalina Kotacka Jarostaw Kobak Piotr Hliwa Piotr Ktosinski Matgorzata Poznanska-Kakareko tukasz Jermacz Tomasz Kakareko | 2023 | Current Zoology2023，69，6： | 0 |
