The fractal characteristic change in the Huanghe River Estuary due to the hydrodynamic conditions’variation显示文摘The study area lies in the subaqueous delta, which came into being in 1964~1976. One oil-field road has been built for exploring petroleum to form a wave barrier. The hydrodynamic conditions on the north side of the road are relatively violent, on the contrary the hydrodynamic conditions on the south side of the road are nearly placid. This makes the study area a natural laboratory for studying the influence of the hydrodynamic conditions on the fractal characteristics of the tidal flat. Selecting an area is named Case Ⅰ on the side of stronger hydrodynamic activities and an area is named Case Ⅱ on the other side. Measuring the topography and sampling and analyzing the granulometrical composition, it is found that the hydrodynamic conditions have fatal influence on the surface fractal dimensions and the granulometrical fractal dimensions of the area. In Case Ⅰ, which has strong hydrodynamic conditions, the surface fractal dimensions are obviously larger than those of Case Ⅱ, and the granulometrical fractal dimensions are relatively smaller than those of Case Ⅱ, the surface fractal dimensions of Case Ⅰ decrease quickly with the increase of grid size; the granulometrical fractal dimensions are disperse, while the hydrodynamic conditions of Case Ⅱ are just reverse. A sampling line and a core sampling on each side of the road are selected. It is found that on the south side of the road the granulometrical fractal dimensions vary regularly in the line and with the depth, the farther apart from the road, the smaller the fractal dimensions, and the deeper the sampling position the larger the fractal dimensions, while granulometrical fractal dimensions on the north side of the road have no such regularity pattern. The mechanism of the influence of the hydrodynamic conditions on the fractal characteristics is discussed. | Jia Yonggang, Fu Yuanbin, Xu Guohui, Shan Hongxian, Cao Xueqing Environmental Engineering Department, Ocean University of China, Qingdao 266003,China | 2003 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2003,22,2: | 13

Tidal flat erosion of the Huanghe River Delta due to local changes in hydrodynamic conditions显示文摘An ideal nature system for the study of post-depositional submarine mass changing under wave loading was selected in the inter-tidal platform of the subaqueous Huanghe River Delta, a delta formed during period from 1964 to 1976 as the Huanghe River discharged into the Bohai Gulf by Diaokou distributary. A road embankment constructed for petroleum recovery on the inter-tidal platform in 1995 induced the essential varieties of hydrodynamic conditions on the both sides of the road. With both sides sharing similarities in(1) initial sedimentary environment,(2) energetic wave loading,(3) differential hydrodynamic conditions in later stages,(4) enough long-range action, and(5) extreme shallow water inter-tidal platforms; the study is representative and feasible as well. Two study sites were selected on each side of the road, and a series of measurements, samplings, laboratory experiments have been carried out, including morphometry, hydrodynamic conditions, sediment properties, granularity composition, and fractal dimension calculation of the topography in the two adjacent areas. It was observed that in the outer zone, where wave loading with high magnitude prevailed, the tidal flat was bumpy and exhibited a high erosion rate and high fractal dimension. Further, the fractal dimension diminished quickly, keeping with the enlarging of calculative square size. However in the inner zone, where the hydrodynamic condition was weak, the tidal flat was flat and exhibited a low erosion rate and low fractal dimensions; the fractal dimension diminished with the enlarging of calculative square size. The fractal dimensions in the different hydrodynamic areas equalized increasingly as the calculative square size accreted to threshold, indicating that the hydrodynamic condition plays a significant role in topography construction and submarine delta erosion process. Additionally, the later differentiation of sediment properties, granularity composition, microstructure characteristics, and mineral composition induced by the different hydrodynamic conditions can also contribute to the variation of topography and sea-bed erosion in the two adjacent areas. | JIA Yonggang ZHENG Jiewen YUE Zhongqi LIU Xiaolei SHAN Hongxian | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,7: | 7
Protective effect of Angelica sinensis on cerebral neurons from rat embryos under hypoxia显示文摘BACKGROUND: The enhanced expression of c-Fos protein in nerve cells after hypoxia is the marker for converting extracellular hypoxia information to intracellular changes at hypoxia, and it is suspected that the increase of c-Fos protein can lead to the synthesis and excretion of related neurotrophic factor and nerve growth factor. However, it is still unclear what functional changes of nerve cells are induced by the increase of c-Fos protein at hypoxia, and whether it is good for the survival of damaged neurons. OBJECTIVE: To observe the expression of c-Fos in the cerebral neurons from embryos of rats with hypoxia in uterus, and investigate the pathway for the protective effect of Angelica sinensis injection on the cerebral neurons from rat embryos under hypoxia. DESIGN: A completely randomized controlled study. SETTING: Department of Histology and Embryology, Luzhou Medical College. MATERIALS: Twelve female Wistar rats in oestrum and 1 male adult Wistar rat with body mass of 220 to 250 g were selected. Rabbit-anti-rat neuro-specific enolase (NSE) and rabbit-anti-rat c-Fos were purchased from Wuhan Boster Biological Technology Co., Ltd.; Double-staining kit was bought from Beijing Zhongshan Golden Bridge Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Angelica sinensis injection was produced by the Department of Pharmacy, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hubei Medical University. METHODS: The experiments were completed in the experimental animal center and the Department of Histology and Embryology of Luzhou Medical College from December 2004 to December 2005. ① Twelve adult female Wistar rats in oestrum and 1 male Wistar rat were housed in one rearing cage. The appearance of vaginal embolus at 8:00 in the next morning was recorded as 0 day of pregnancy and the rats were recorded for 15 days, and they were divided randomly into three groups, control group (n =4), hypoxia group (n =4) and Angelica group (n =4). The pregnant rats in the hypoxia group were firstly injected with saline (8 mL/kg), then put into 2 L wide-mouthed bottle containing 100 g sodalime, and then the lid of the bottle was closed tightly to induce hypotonic hypoxia for 1 hour followed by 1-hour re-oxygenation. The pregnant rats were killed under anesthesia, and then fetuses were taken out by rapid cesarean. Part of the brain tissues were exposed and then fixed in formaldehyde (40 g/L). The pregnant rats in the Angelica group were treated the same as those in the hypoxia group except that saline was replaced by 250 g/L Angelica sinensis injection which was injected via caudal vein (8 mL/kg). The rats in the control group were injected with saline (8 mL/kg) slowly via caudal vein, but not put into the wide-mouthed bottle for hypoxia, and then the brain tissues were removed and fixed as those in the hypoxia group after 1 hour. ② Twenty embryos from rats were chosen randomly in each group and then routinely embedded in paraffin. Paraffin sections of 4 μm thick were prepared through the anterior fontanelle of head of the fetal rats. The sections were immunohistologically stained with c-Fos/NSE. ③ The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the differences of measurement data among the groups, and the q test was applied in the two-two comparison. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The numbers of c-Fos and c-Fos/NSE positive neurons in cerebrum from rat embryos were observed. RESULTS: ① Numbers of NSE positive neurons in cerebrum of rat embryos in the control group, hypoxia group and Angelica group were (84.3±9.0), (90.2±12.5) and (86.7±9.7) cells/high power field (P > 0.05). ② The number of c-Fos/NSE positive neurons was more in the hypoxia group than in the control group and Angelica group [(38.4±5.28), (11.35±2.67), (20.65±4.07) cells/high power field, q =29.17, 19.14, P < 0.05]. CONCLUSION: Hypoxia can stimulate the expression of c-Fos in cerebral neurons from rat embryos. Angelica sinensis injection could reducing the damage of hypoxia to neurons and play a neuroprotective roleby decreasing the expression of c-Fos protein in hypoxic neurons. | Yuling Wu Hongxian Zhao Hong Yu | 2007 | Neural Regeneration Research2007,2,1: | 7
Wave flume experiments on the contribution of seabed fluidization to sediment resuspension显示文摘Sediment resuspension is commonly assumed to be eroded from the seabed surface by an excess bottom shear stress and evolves in layers from the top down. Although considerable investigations have argued the importance of wave-induced seabed fluidization in affecting the sediment resuspension, few studies have been able to reliably evaluate its quantitative contribution till now. Attempt is made to preliminarily quantify the contribution of fluidization to resuspension using a series of large-scale wave flume experiments. The experimental results indicated that fluidization of the sandy silts of the Huanghe Delta account for 52.5% and 66.8% of the total resuspension under model scales of 4/20 and 6/20(i.e., relative water depth: the ratio of wave height to water depth), respectively. Some previously reported results obtained using the same flume and sediments are also summarized for a contrastive analysis, through which not only the positive correlation is confirmed, but also a parametric equation for depicting the relationship between the contribution of fluidization and the model scale is established. Finally, the contribution of fluidization is attributed to two physical mechanisms:(1) an attenuation of the erosion resistance of fluidized sediments in surface layers due to the disappearing of original cohesion and the uplifting effect resulting from upward seepage flows, and(2) seepage pumping of fines from the interior to the surface of fluidized seabed. | ZHANG Shaotong JIA Yonggang WANG Zhenhao WEN Mingzheng LU Fang ZHANG Yaqi LIU Xiaolei SHAN Hongxian | 2018 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,3: | 6
An approach to forward looking FMCW radar imaging based on two-dimensional Chirp-Z transform显示文摘Airborne forward looking radar imaging, which is an important work mode of imaging radar system, has many advantages combined with frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology. This paper studies the configuration with one central antenna element for signal transmitting and other antenna elements for signal receiving. According to its imaging geometry, the analytical expression of the received signal for forward looking imaging radar based on FMCW is given. By performing the equivalent phase center principle, the received signal is equalized to the case of system configuration with antenna both for transmitting and receiving signals. The Doppler frequency shift effect, induced by the platform’s continuous motion while radar transmits and receives signals, is analyzed in detail and the approximate compensation method is shown. Based on this, a novel method for forward looking FMCW radar imaging is developed, which adopts two-dimensional Chirp-Z transform to implement scaling operation. Also the complete derivation process of the algorithm and the expression of each compensation factor are presented. The whole algorithm only includes FFT and complex multiplication, with interpolation free, and is easy to implement in reality. Simulation results verify the correctness of the analysis and the validity of the proposed algorithm. | LIANO Yi WANG HongXian ZHANG Long BAO Zheng | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,8: | 6
ISAR imaging via sparse frequency-stepped chirp signal显示文摘Frequency-stepped chirp signal can simplify the designation of radar system. However,it has a shortcoming of Doppler ambiguity for high-speed moving targets. Therefore,it is of great significance to study how to increase its equivalent pulse repeat frequency. The back scattering field of the ISAR target has strong sparsity;that is to say, most energy is contributed merely by a few scattering centers.Hence, based on the theory of the sparse signal representation,a novel method for ISAR imaging via sparse frequency-stepped chirp signals is proposed by analyzing the signal model of the target. In the proposed method, part of sub-pulses of the frequency-stepped chirp signal is randomly selected to transmit, and then the 2D high-resolution image of the target can be constructed by sparse signal decomposition. At the cost of computational resources, the method can effectively resolve the problem of Doppler ambiguity, decrease the sidelobes and obtain a super-resolution image.Furthermore, the validity of the proposed approach is confirmed by the results of numerical simulations and real data. | WANG HongXian LIANG Yi XING MengDao ZHANG ShouHong | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,4: | 6
Experimental analysis of bio-stimulated sealing process in environmental geotechnical engineering显示文摘Bio-stimulated sealing technology is an interesting and promising technology for leakage repair in geotechnical engineering.Advancing studies of this technology have shown that some nutrients can be used to activate the metabolic process of in-situ soil microorganisms that induce bio-mediated sealing in a relatively short time.In this paper,we injected nutrient solution into sand columns with leakage and investigated the sealing mechanism. Two sand columns, each with a 2-cm diameter hole, were set up.One was treated with nutrient solution and the other received no nutrients as a control. The results showed that 900 mL of nutrient solution per day, with a concentration of 4.4 g L-1 potato extract solution, could notably decrease the volume of groundwater seepage. Finally, the volume of the seepage in the treated column was 0.85% of the control column.Evidence of micro morphological changes to the sand samples after the bio-stimulated sealing tests is given using the ESEM observations.Chemical element composition, organic and iron compound analyses were performed for an enhanced understanding of the underlying bio-stimulated sealing mechanism. The preliminary results obtained indicate that iron compound deposits, and organics(biomass and biofilm) produced during the sealing process near the leakage enhanced the sealing effect. | GUO HongXian CHENG XiaoHui LI Meng | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,7: | 5
Provenance analysis of surface sediments in the Holocene mud area of the southern coastal waters off Shandong Peninsula,China显示文摘The sedimentary record of mud areas is an important carrier of information on the Holocene evolution of marine environments. Based on fine interpretations of the shallow stratigraphic section data, a small mud deposit area has been found in the southern coastal waters off Shandong Peninsula. This mud area is mainly distributed in coastal waters north of Laoshantou to the vicinity of Rushan Estuary. Overall, it is parallel to the coastline and spreads in a banded pattern, gradually thinning from offshore to the sea. The isopach map of depth distribution is parallel with the shoreline, and the depocenter lies in coastal waters of the Aoshan Bay where the maximum thickness is up to 22.5 m. Accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS) ^(14)C dating shows that the mud area was formed in the Holocene. The test data of surface sediments from the mud area, including particle size, mineral characteristics, and rare earth element contents, are used in comparisons with the composition of materials from the major surrounding medium and small rivers flowing into the sea and the Huanghe(Yellow) River. In this paper, the sedimentary characteristics and provenance of the mud deposit area are discussed. The results show that the formation of this mud area resulted from the joint action of the Huanghe River and surrounding rivers flowing into the sea. | ZHANG Xiaobo BI Shipu ZHANG Yong YANG Yuan LIU Shanshan KONG Xianghuai LI Xiaoyue CHU Hongxian | 2016 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,5: | 5

Energy storage properties of 0.87BaTiO3-0.i3Bi(Zn2/3(Nb0.85Ta0.15)1/3)O3 multilayer ceramic capacitors with thin dielectric layers显示文摘Multilayer ceramic capacitors(MLCCs)for energy storage applications require a large discharge energy density and high discharge/charge efficiency under high electric fields.Here,0.87BaTiO3--0.13Bi(Zn23(Nbog8sTao.1s)u3)O3(BTBZNT)MLCCs with double active dielectric layers were fabricated, and the effects of inner electrode and sintering method on the energy storage properties of BTBZNT MLCCs were investigated.By using the pure Pt as inner electrode instead of Ago.6Pdo4 aloys,an alternating current(AC)breakdown strength(BDS)enhancement from 1047 to 1500 kV/cm was achieved.By investigating the leakage current behavior of BTBZNT MLCCs,the Pt inner electrode and two-step sintering method(TSS)were confirmed to enhance the Schottky barrier and minimize the leakage current density. With relatively high permitivity, dielectric sublinearity, and ultra-high BDS,the Pt TSS BTBZNT MLCCs exhibited a surprisingly discharge energy density(Udis)of 14.08 J/cm2.Moreover,under an operating electric field of 400 kV/cm,the MLCCs also exhibited thermal stability with Udis variation<±8%over a wide temperature (t) range from-50 to 175℃ and cycling reliability with Uais reduction<0.3%after 3000 charge-discharge cycles. These remarkable performances make Pt TSS BTBZNT MLCCs promising for energy storage applications. | Hongxian WANG Peiyao ZHAO Lingling CHEN Longtu LI Xiaohui WANG | 2020 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,3: | 3
Characteristics and Causes of the Preconsolidation Stress of Soils in the Yellow River Delta显示文摘Preconsolidation stress ( σ P') is the maximum effective stress that a soil has suffered throughout its life. From a geotechnical point of view, pre-consolidation stress has great importance because it separates elastic and reversible deformations from inelastic and only partially irreversible deformations and marks the starting point of high compressibility. In this study we calculated the preconsolidation stress for 72 undisturbed soil samples from the Yellow River Delta, using the oedometer test and applying the method proposed by Casagrande. The results showed that the over-consolidation ratio (OCR-the ratio of pre-consolidation stress to current natural overburden stress) values of the soil from soil surface to 6m depth varied from 1.72 to 15.34 and the maximum pre-consolidation stress was above 200 kPa. In consequence, the soils of the Yellow River Delta are highly over-consolidated within the upper 6 m, the OCR decreasing gradually with depth from 6 to 12 m. For samples from deeper than 12 m the soils were found to be under-consolidated, which was proved by standard penetration tests (SPTs). The main causes of this type of consolidation are the mineral composition and the designability of the soil body. | YANG Xiujuan JIA Yonggang LIU Hongjun SHAN Hongxian | 2009 | Journal of Ocean University of China2009,8,3: | 3
Genetic dissection of tetraploid cotton resistant to Verticillium wilt using interspecific chromosome segment introgression lines显示文摘Verticillium wilt(caused by the pathogen Verticillium dahliae) is of high concern for cotton producers and consumers. The major strategy for controlling this disease is the development of resistant cotton(Gossypium spp.) cultivars. We used interspecific chromosome segment introgression lines(CSILs) to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) associated with resistance to Verticillium wilt in cotton grown in greenhouse and inoculated with three defoliating V. dahliae isolates. A total of 42 QTL, including 23 with resistance-increasing and 19 with resistancedecreasing, influenced host resistance against the three isolates. These QTL were identified and mapped on 18 chromosomes(chromosomes A1, A3, A4, A5, A7, A8, A9, A12, A13, D1, D2,D3, D4, D5, D7, D8, D11, and D12), with LOD values ranging from 3.00 to 9.29. Among the positive QTL with resistance-increasing effect, 21 conferred resistance to only one V. dahliae isolate, suggesting that resistance to V. dahliae conferred by most QTL is pathogen isolate-specific. The At subgenome of cotton had greater effect on resistance to Verticillium wilt than the Dt subgenome. We conclude that pyramiding different resistant QTL could be used to breed cotton cultivars with broad-spectrum resistance to Verticillium wilt. | Peng Wang Zhiyuan Ning Ling Lin Hong Chen Hongxian Mei Jun Zhao Bingliang Liu Xin Zhang Wangzhen Guo Tianzhen Zhang | 2014 | The Crop Journal2014,2,5: | 2
Application of fast factorized back-projection algorithm for high-resolution highly squinted airborne SAR imaging显示文摘In squinted synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging, the range-azimuth coupling requires precise range cell migration correction(RCMC). Moreover, for high-resolution airborne SAR, motion compensation(MOCO) becomes complicated as the squint angle increases, thereby degrading the performance of Dopplerdomain imaging algorithms. On the other hand, time-domain back-projection(BP) SAR imaging approaches are considered as optimal solutions to performing precise image focusing and MOCO. Among current BP algorithms, the fast factorized back-projection(FFBP) algorithm is one of the most essential representatives that achieve high-resolution images in an efficient manner. In this paper, the principle and applications of the FFBP algorithm are investigated through the derivation of the azimuth impulse response function(AIRF) of the resulting image. The phenomenon of spectrum displacement induced by motion errors in the BP image is presented and analyzed.Based on rigorous mathematical derivations, a modified FFBP algorithm is proposed to facilitate a seamless integration with motion compensation and accurate imagery of high-resolution highly squinted airborne SAR.Real data results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. | Lei ZHANG Haolin LI Zhiwei XU Hongxian WANG | 2017 | Science China(Information Sciences)2017,60,6: | 2

Clinical Applications of Serum Anti-Mullerian Hormone€Measurements in Both Males and Females:An Update显示文摘Infertility is one of the most common non-communicable diseases, affecting both men and women equally.Ovarian reserve, the number of primordial follicles in the ovaries is believed to be the most important determinants for female fertility.Anti-Mullerian hormone(AMH)secreted from granulosa cells of growing follicles is recognized as the most important biomarker for ovarian reserve.Ovarian reserve models have been developed using AMH and other hormonal indicators, thus childbearing plans and reproductive choices could be arranged by women. In assisted reproductive technology cycles, measurement of AMH helps to predict ovarian response and guide recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone dosing in women.Serum AMH level is increasingly being recognized as a potential surrogate marker for polycystic ovarian morphology, one of the criteria for diagnosis of polycystic ovarian syndrome.AMH is also secreted by Sertoli cells of testes in men,and AMH measurements in the prediction of surgical sperm recovery rate in men have also been investigated.AMH levels are significantly higher in boys than in girls before puberty. Therefore, serum levels of AMH in combination with testosterone is used for the differential diagnosis of disorders of sex development,anorchia,non-obstructive azoospermia, and persistent Mullerian duct syndrome.Recently, serum AMH measurements have also been used in fertility preservation programs in oncofertility, screening for granulosa cell tumors, and prediction of menopause applications. In this review,we will focus on clinical application of AMH in fertility assessments for healthy men and women,as well as for cancer patients. | Huiyu Xu Mengqian Zhang Hongxian Zhang Kannan Alpadi Lina Wang Rong Li Jie Qiao | 2021 | The Innovation2021,2,1: | 1
