| 1 | AN INTEGRATED COUPLING ELEMENT FOR VEHICLE-RAIL-BRIDGE INTERACTION SYSTEM WITH A NON-UNIFORM CONTINUOUS BRIDGE显示文摘An integrated coupling element considering wheel-rail interface for analyzing the dynamic responses of vehicle-rail-bridge interaction system with a non-uniform continuous bridge is presented. The governing equations of the interaction system are established first, and the solution procedure and assembly method of the coupling element are demonstrated. Finally, the accuracy, efficiency and function of the integrated coupling element are tested using two numerical examples. | 2 | Chemical dehydration coupling multi-effect evaporation to treat waste sulfuric acid in titanium dioxide production process显示文摘In order to concentrate the diluted sulfuric acid from the titanium dioxide(TiO2)production of sulphate process,a new concentration process was proposed by coupling chemical dehydration and multi-effect evaporation.The ferrous sulfate monohydrate(FeSO4·H2O),as the dehydrant,was added to the diluted sulfuric acid to form ferrous sulfate heptahydrate(FeSO4·7H2O)according to the H2SO4-FeSO4-H2O phase diagrams,which partially removes the water.This process was named as Chemical Dehydration Process.The residual water was further removed by two-effect evaporation and finally 70 wt%sulfuric acid was obtained.The FeSO4·H2O can be regenerated through drying and dehydration of FeSO4·7H2O.The results show that FeSO4·H2O is the most suitable dehydrant,the optimal reaction time of chemical dehydration process is 30 min,and low temperature is favorable for the dehydration reaction.45.17%of the entire removed water can be removed by chemical dehydration from the diluted sulfuric acid.This chemical dehydration process is also energy efficient with 24.76%saving compared with the direct evaporation process.Furthermore,51.21%of the FeSO4 dissolved originally in the diluted sulfuric acid are precipitated out during the chemical dehydration,which greatly reduces the solid precipitation and effectively alleviates the scaling in the subsequent multi-effect evaporation process. | Hongyin Pang Ruifang Lu Tao Zhang Li Lü Yanxiao Chen Shengwei Tang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4: | 7 |
| 3 | ISAR imaging based on improved phase retrieval algorithm显示文摘Traditional inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR)imaging methods for maneuvering targets have low resolution and poor capability of noise suppression. An ISAR imaging method of maneuvering targets based on phase retrieval is proposed,which can provide a high-resolution and focused map of the spatial distribution of scatterers on the target. According to theoretical derivation, the modulus of raw data from the maneuvering target is not affected by radial motion components for ISAR imaging system, so the phase retrieval algorithm can be used for ISAR imaging problems. However, the traditional phase retrieval algorithm will be not applicable to ISAR imaging under the condition of random noise. To solve this problem, an algorithm is put forward based on the range Doppler(RD) algorithm and oversampling smoothness(OSS) phase retrieval algorithm. The algorithm captures the target information in order to reduce the influence of the random phase on ISAR echoes, and then applies OSS for focusing imaging based on prior information of the RD algorithm. | 6 | A prospective study (SCOPE) comparing the cardiometabolic and respiratory effects of air pollution exposure on healthy and pre-diabetic individuals显示文摘Air pollution is known to be a major risk factor for cardiopulmonary disease, but this is unclear for cardiometabolic disease (e.g.diabetes). This is of considerable public health importance, given the nationwide epidemic of diabetes, accompanied by severe air pollution, in China. The evidence so far remained inadequate to answer questions of whether individuals with cardiometabolic dysfunctions are susceptible to air pollution and whether air pollution exacerbates diabetes development via certain biological pathways. In this manuscript, we summarize the results and limitations of studies exploring these two topics and elaborate our design of a prospective panel study (SCOPE) as a solution. We assessed and compared the health effect of air pollution among pre-diabetic individuals and matched healthy controls through four repeated clinical visits over 1 year. Comprehensive evaluation was made to both health endpoints and exposure. The primary biomarkers were assessed to reveal the impact on multiple biological pathways, including glycolipid metabolism and insulin resistance, endothelial function, and inflammation. | 9 | SAR imaging method based on coprime sampling and nested sparse sampling显示文摘As the signal bandwidth and the number of channels increase, the synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging system produces huge amount of data according to the Shannon-Nyquist theorem, causing a huge burden for data transmission. This paper concerns the coprime sampling and nested sparse sampling,which are proposed recently but have never been applied to real world for target detection, and proposes a novel way which utilizes these new sub-Nyquist sampling structures for SAR sampling in azimuth and reconstructs the data of SAR sampling by compressive sensing(CS). Both the simulated and real data are processed to test the algorithm, and the results indicate the way which combines these new undersampling structures and CS is able to achieve the SAR imaging effectively with much less data than regularly ways required. | 12 | A gene that underwent adaptive evolution, LAC2 (LACCASE), in Populus euphratica improves drought tolerance by improving water transport capacity显示文摘Drought severely limits plant development and growth;accordingly,plants have evolved strategies to prevent water loss and adapt to water deficit conditions.However,experimental cases that corroborate these evolutionary processes are limited.The LACCASEs(LACs)family is involved in various plant development and growth processes.Here,we performed an evolutionary analysis of LACs from Populus euphratica and characterized the functions of LACs in Arabidopsis and poplar.The results showed that in PeuLACs,multiple gene duplications led to apparent functional redundancy as the result of various selective pressures.Among them,PeuLAC2 underwent strong positive selection.Heterologous expression analyses showed that the overexpression of PeuLAC2 alters the xylem structure of plants,including thickening the secondary cell wall(SCW)and increasing the fiber cell length and stem tensile strength.Altogether,these changes improve the water transport capacity of plants.The analysis of the physiological experimental results showed that PeuLAC2-OE lines exhibited a stronger antioxidant response and greater drought tolerance than WT.Three genes screened by transcriptome analysis,NAC025,BG1,and UGT,that are associated with SCW synthesis and drought stress were all upregulated in the PeuLAC2-OE lines,implying that the overexpression of PeuLAC2 thickened the SCW,improved the water transport capacity of the plant,and further enhanced its drought tolerance.Our study highlights that genes that have undergone adaptive evolution may participate in the development of adaptive traits in P.euphratica and that PeuLAC2 could be a candidate gene for molecular genetic breeding in trees. | Zhimin Niu Guiting Li Hongyin Hu Jiaojiao Lv Qiwei Zheng Jianquan Liu Dongshi Wan | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

| 14 | Experimental and in silico studies on three hydrophobic charge-induction adsorbents for porcine immunoglobulin purification显示文摘Three hydrophobic charge-induction adsorbents with functional ligands of 4-mercapto-ethyl-pyridine, 2-mercapto-methyl-imidazole or 2-mercapto-benzimidazole were evaluated in the purification of porcine immunoglobulin from porcine blood. Adsorption isotherms were studied under different pH conditions. The adsorbent with 2-mercapto-methyl-imidazole as the ligand showed reasonable adsorption capacity(43.60 mg·g^(-1)gel)with great selectivity and it also showed the best elution performance in chromatographic studies. A multi-pH step elution process was proposed for the 2-mercapto-methyl-imidazole adsorbent, and the results showed that high immunoglobulin purity(94.3%) and a yield of 9.8 mg·(ml plasma)^(-1) could be achieved under the optimal condition of loading(pH 5.0)–pre-elution(pH 7.0)–elution(pH 3.8). | 15 | The Corylus mandshurica genome provides insights into the evolution of Betulaceae genomes and hazelnut breeding显示文摘Hazelnut is popular for its flavor,and it has also been suggested that hazelnut is beneficial to cardiovascular health because it is rich in oleic acid.Here,we report the first high-quality chromosome-scale genome for the hazelnut species Corylus mandshurica(2n=22),which has a high concentration of oleic acid in its nuts.The assembled genome is 367.67Mb in length,and the contig N50 is 14.85 Mb.All contigs were assembled into 11 chromosomes,and 28,409 protein-coding genes were annotated.We reconstructed the evolutionary trajectories of the genomes of Betulaceae species and revealed that the 11 chromosomes of the hazelnut genus were derived from the most ancestral karyotype in Betula pendula,which has 14 protochromosomes,by inferring homology among five Betulaceae genomes.We identified 96 candidate genes involved in oleic acid biosynthesis,and 10 showed rapid evolution or positive selection.These findings will help us to understand the mechanisms of lipid synthesis and storage in hazelnuts.Several gene families related to salicylic acid metabolism and stress responses experienced rapid expansion in this hazelnut species,which may have increased its stress tolerance.The reference genome presented here constitutes a valuable resource for molecular breeding and genetic improvement of the important agronomic properties of hazelnut. | Ying Li Pengchuan Sun Zhiqiang Lu Jinyuan Chen Zhenyue Wang Xin Du Zeyu Zheng Ying Wu Hongyin Hu Jiao Yang Jianxiang Ma Jianquan Liu Yongzhi Yang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 1 |
