5Ballistic Penetration of Dyneema Fiber Laminate显示文摘UHMWPE fiber (Dyneema) reinforced composites are an important class of materials for armors.These materials provide superior ballistic performance to the armor, such as the military armor systems requiring a reduction in back-armor effects or a substrate for hardened facings of steet or ceramic. The reported work characterized the ballistic impact and mechanical performance of Dyneema fiber in composite laminates. The capability of the laminate to absorb ballistic impact energy was influenced by the impact velocity and the laminate areal density. 16A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE CARTOGRAPHIC HISTORIES BETWEEN CHINA AND THE WEST显示文摘Analysis of space shifting of geodetic center of China and the West,reveals that the China’s geodetic center has been in coincidence with its political center. Furthermore the development of the maps in Europe was controlled by developmat of economy. Thereupon, maps in China and the West were developing in their own ways, and thus formed two different cartographic systems.Although China has a splendid cartogrphic history, it has not yet got many great breakthroughs. The reasons are as follows : 1. The theory of round earth has never occupied the ruling place, instead, the theory of flat earth took the dominant position. Thus the geodetic frameworks of China are not scientific. 2. Owing to the trammels of the theory that China is the whole earth, the Chinese geodetic workers have been limited in China’s area. 3. Exchange between the East and the Weat is too late. The Chinese geodetic workers took a long time to accept the West geodetic technology. on the contrary, the West has absorbed the geodetic technology and results of China. 4. China’s anciat gcodotic workers usually stopped after getting a little knowledge of a subject. They should have made great breakthroughs in geodetic area. 19THE IMPACT PROPERTIES OF HYBRID COMPOSITES显示文摘In this paper an experimental investigation on the impact behaviour of hybrid composites is conducted by instrumental Charpy impact test. The variation of impact strength and impact toughness index of C/K and C/G hybrid composites of different matrices with hybrid ratio and interface number is revealed. The dynamic hybrid effect is also investigated from different aspects. Meanwhile, the estimating model for impact strength is established and the estimated values are in good agreement with experimented ones. The hybrid effect coefficients based on different definitions are organically related by the model. 20Bulk superconductivity in the Dirac semimetal TlSb显示文摘A feasible strategy for realizing the Majorana fermions is searching for a simple compound with both bulk superconductivity and Dirac surface states.In this paper,we perform calculations of electronic band structure,the Fermi surface,and the surface states,and measure the resistivity,magnetization,and specific heat of a TlSb compound with a CsCl-type structure.The band structure calculations show that TlSb is a Dirac semimetal when spin-orbit coupling is considered.TlSb is first determined to be a type-Ⅱsuperconductor with T_(c)=4.38 K,Hc1(0)=148 Oe,H_(c2)(0)=1.12 T,andκ_(GL)=10.6.We also confirm that TlSb is a moderately coupled s-wave superconductor.Although we cannot determine the band near the Fermi level EF that is responsible for superconductivity,its coexistence with topological surface states implies that the TlSb compound may be a simple material platform to realize the fault-tolerant quantum computations.YuXing Zhou Bin Li ZheFeng Lou HuanCheng Chen Qin Chen BinJie Xu ChunXiang Wu JianHua Du JinHu Yang HangDong Wang MingHu Fang 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,4:0
