3KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere as excellent electrocatalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+ redox couple for vanadium redox flow battery显示文摘In this paper,carbon microsphere prepared by hydrothermal treatment was activated by KHCO_3 at high temperature,and employed as the catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB).Carbon microsphere can be etched by KHCO_3 due to the reaction between the pyrolysis products of KHCO_3 and carbon atoms.Moreover,KHCO_3 activation can bring many oxygen functional groups on carbon microsphere,further improving the wettability of catalyst and increasing the active sites.The electrocatalytic properties of carbon microsphere from hydrothermal treatment are improved by high temperature carbonization,and can further be enhanced by KHCO_3 activation.Among carbon microsphere samples,the VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction exhibits the highest electrochemical kinetics on KHCO_3 activated sample.The cell using KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere as the positive catalyst demonstrates higher energy efficiency and larger discharge capacity,especially at high current density.The results reveal that KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere is an efficient,low-cost carbon-based catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for VRFB system.Chen Zhao Yuehua Li Zhangxing He Yingqiao Jiang Lu Li Fengyun Jiang Huizhu Zhou Jing Zhu Wei Meng Ling Wang Lei Dai 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:5
4Expression of a novel bHLH-Zip gene in human testis显示文摘Aim: To identify specifically expressed genes in the adult and fetal testes. Methods: A human testis cDNA microarray was established. Then the mRNA of adult and fetal testis was purified and probes were prepared by a reverse transcription reaction with the testis mRNA as template. The microarray was hybridized with probes of adult and fetal testes. The nucleic sequences of differentially expressed genes were determined and homologies were searched in the databases of the GenBank. Results: When hybridized with adult or fetal testis probes, the positive clones were 96.8 % and 95.4 %, respectively. Among these genes, one was a new testis-specific gene, which was named TSP1. TSP1 was highly expressed in human adult testis. The cDNA of TSP1 was 1,484 bp in length. The cDNA sequence of this clone was deposited in the Genbank (AF333098). TSP1 was also determined as Interim Gen Symbol (Unigene, No. Hs.98266). Protein analysis showed that TSP1 contained two functional domains: an N-terminal basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) and a C-terminal leucine zipper (Zip). Homologous analysis showed that the 430 amino acid sequences deduced from the 1,293 bp open reading frame (ORF) had a homology with the human gene FLJ2509 (AK098575). TSP1 had also a sequence homology with Spz 1 protein of mouse. Expression profiles showed that TSP1 was specifically and strongly expressed in the testis. Conclusion: TSP1 is a gene highly expressed in adult testis. It may play an important role in spermatogenesis in the humans. 5Preparation of dendritic bismuth film electrodes and their application for detection of trace Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)显示文摘In this paper,dendritic Bi film electrodes with porous structure had successfully been prepared on glassy carbon electrode using a constant current electrolysis method based on hydrogen bubble dynamic templates.The electrode prepared using a large applied current density showed an increased internal electroactive area and a significantly improved electrochemical performance.The analytical utility of the prepared dendritic Bi film electrodes for the determination of Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)in the range of 5–50 μg·L^(-1)were presented in combination with square wave stripping voltammetry in model solution.Compared with non-porous Bi film electrode,the dendritic Bi film electrode exhibited higher sensitivity and lower detection limit.The prepared Bi film electrode with dendritic structure was also successfully applied to real water sample analysis.Huizhu Zhou Huanhuan Hou Lei Dai Yuehua Li jing Zhu Ling Wang 2016Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2016,24,3:3

7Use of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound for Treating Malignant Tumors显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the efficacy and side effects of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) in the treatment of malignant solid tumors. METHODS Thirty patients who refused surgery and/or were refractory to chemotherapy were treated by HIFU alone, with the efficacy and side effects monitored as follows: observation of vital organ signs; functional assay of important organs; imaging examinations including: digital subtraction angiography (DSA), CT, MRI, single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), large core needle biopsy, complications and metastasis. RESULTS After HIFU therapy, the vital signs remained stable and the functions of the heart, lung, kidney and liver were also normal. DSA images showed that small or larger arteries were not damaged. After a follow-up of 10-38 months(mean 23.1 months), 26 patients(87%) were alive. The volume of the tumor underwent complete regression in 10 patients. Shrinkage of the tumor volume ≥50% was observed in 13 patients. Eight of 13 patients were examined by large core needle biopsy, all showing necrosis and/or fibrosis though 3 patients(10%) had local recurrence. Two of these were retreated again by HIFU and the locally recurrent tumors were controlled. New metastases developed in 5 patients after H IFU. Two patients suffered from peripheral nerve injuriy and they have recovered during the follow-up. One patient developed skin injury. 8Highly active sites of low spin Fe^(Ⅱ)N_(4)species:The identification and the ORR performance显示文摘Over recent years,catalytic materials of Fe-N-C species have been recognized being active for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).However,the identification of active site remains challenging as it generally involves a pyrolysis process and mixed components being obtained.Herein Fe_(3)C/C and Fe_(2)N/C samples were synthesized by temperature programmed reduction of Fe precursors in 15%CH_(4)/H_(2)and pure NH_(3),respectively.By acid leaching of Fe_(2)N/C sample,only single sites of FeN_(4)species were presented,providing an ideal model for identification of catalytic functions of the single sites of FeN_(4)in ORR.A correlation was conducted between the concentration of Fe^(Ⅱ)N_(4)in low spin state by Mossbauer spectra and the kinetic current density at 0.8 V in alkaline media,and such a structure-performance correlation assures the catalytic roles of low spin Fe^(Ⅱ)N_(4) species as highly active sites for the ORR.Huizhu Cai Bingbing Chen Xiao Zhang Yuchen Deng Dequan Xiao Ding Ma Chuan Shi 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:2
9Cobalt protoporphyrin-induced nano-self-assembly for CT imaging,magnetic-guidance,and antioxidative protection of stem cells in pulmonary fibrosis treatment显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)transplantation is a promising approach for pulmonary fibrosis(PF),however it is impeded by several persistent challenges,including the lack of long-term tracking,low retention,and poor survival of MSCs,as well as the low labeling efficiency of nanoprobes.Herein,a cobalt protoporphyrin IX(CoPP)aggregation-induced strategy is applied to develop a multifunctional nano-self-assembly(ASCP)by combining gold nanoparticle(AuNPs),superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(SPIONs),and CoPP through a facile solvent evaporation-driven approach.Since no additional carrier materials are employed during the synthesis,high loading efficiency of active ingredients and excellent biocompatibility are achieved.Additionally,facile modification of the ASCPs with bicyclo[6.1.0]nonyne(BCN)groups(named as ASCP-BCN)enables them to effectively label MSCs through bioorthogonal chemistry.The obtained ASCP-BCN could not only help to track MSCs with AuNP-based computed tomography(CT)imaging,but also achieve an SPIONs-assisted magnetic field based improvement in the MSCs retention in lungs as well as promoted the survival of MSCs via the sustained release of CoPP.The in vivo results demonstrated that the labeled MSCs improved the lung functions and alle-viated the fibrosis symptoms in a bleomycin–induced PF mouse model.Collectively,a novel ASCP-BCN multi-functional nanoagent was developed to bioorthogonally-label MSCs with a high efficiency,presenting a promising potential in the high-efficient MSC therapy for PF.Yimeng Shu Ming Ma Xiaoxia Pan Muhammad Shafiq Huizhu Yu Hangrong Chen 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:2

11Molecular modulating of cobalt phthalocyanines on aminofunctionalized carbon nanotubes for enhanced electrocatalytic CO_(2)conversion显示文摘Metal porphyrins and metal phthalocyanines(Pc)constitute a promising class of metal molecular catalysts(MMCs)for efficient CO_(2)-to-CO electrocatalytic conversion due to their well-defined molecular structures.How to adjust the local coordination and electronic environment of the metal center and enhance the molecular-level dispersion of the active components remains as great challenges for further improving the performance.Herein,a cobalt(II)Pc(CoPc)-COOH/carbon nanotube(CNT)-NH_(2)hybrid catalyst was rationally designed by clicking the CoPc-COOH molecules onto the surface of CNT-NH_(2)through amidation reaction.This novel hybrid catalyst exhibited the enhanced current density of 22.4 mA/cm2 and CO selectivity of 91%at−0.88 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)in the CO_(2)electroreduction,as compared with CoPc-COOH/CNT and CoPc/CNT samples.The superior activity was ascribed to the charge transfer induced by introduction of-COOH and-NH_(2)functional groups to CoPc and CNT,respectively,facilitating the active centers of CoI being generated at lower potentials,and leading to the highest turnover frequency(TOF)being obtained over the CoPc-COOH/CNT-NH_(2)hybrid catalyst.The inherent directivity and saturability of covalent bonds formed via the amidation reaction ensure not only a higher density of Co active centers,but also an improved stability for CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).The present study represents an effective strategy for improving MMCs performance by molecular modulating of metal phthalocyanines on functionalized carbon substrates directed by click confinement chemistry.Huajian Xu Huizhu Cai Linxia Cui Limei Yu Rui Gao Chuan Shi 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:2

18Yoctonewton force detection based on optically levitated oscillator显示文摘Optically levitated oscillators in high vacuum have excellent environmental isolation and low mass compared with conventional solid-state sensors,which makes them suitable for ultrasensitive force detection.The force resolution usually scales with the measurement bandwidth,which represents the ultimate detection capability of the system under ideal conditions if sufficient time is provided for measurement.However,considering the stability of a real system,a method based on the Allan variance is more reliable to evaluate the actual force detection performance.In this study,a levitated optomechanical system with a force detection sensitivity of 6.33±1.62 zN/Hz^(1/2)was demonstrated.And for the first time,the Allan variance was introduced to evaluate the system stability due to the force sensitivity fluctuations.The force detection resolution of 166.40±55.48 yN was reached at the optimal measurement time of 2751 s.The system demonstrated in this work has the best force detection performance in both sensitivity and resolution that have been reported so far for optically levitated particles.The reported high-sensitivity force detection system is an excellent candidate for the exploration of new physics such as fifth force searching,high-frequency gravitational waves detection,dark matter research and so on.Tao Liang Shaochong Zhu Peitong He Zhiming Chen Yingying Wang Cuihong Li Zhenhai Fu Xiaowen Gao Xinfan Chen Nan Li Qi Zhu Huizhu Hu 2023Fundamental Research2023,3,1:1
19High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound in the Treatment of Hepatic Metastases from Colorectal Cancer of 18 Patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of treatment of hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). METHODS Thirty-one lesions in 18 patients with hepatic metastases from colorectal cancer after colectomy were treated with HIFU therapy. The vital signs, function of the vital organs, complications and pathological outcome were studied using imaging examinations such as CT or MRI. RESULTS The vital signs of all patients remained stable and their liver and kidney functions normal. Two of the 18 patients were not followed-up. After a mean follow-up of 16.1 months (6-38 months), 13 survived. The survival rates at the 12th and 18th months were 83.3% and 66.7%, respectively. The median survival rate was 16 months. Among the 25 lesions followed-up, 17 shrank over 50%, 5 grew new metastases and superficial degree II skin injury occurred in 8.
