| 2 | 2011-2012年冬季中国鄱阳湖越冬鹤类的数量和分布(英文)显示文摘鄱阳湖是中国和东亚十分重要的鹤类越冬地。我们于2011/2012冬季对在鄱阳湖越冬的鹤类进行了两次调查,分别为2011年12月18–19日和2012年2月18–19日。本次调查覆盖了整个鄱阳湖区以及邻近的赛城湖和赤湖,共计调查了85个子湖泊,记录了4种鹤类。12月份的调查计数了4577只白鹤(Grus leucogeranus)(主要在蚌湖、沙湖和大湖池)、302只白头鹤(G.monachus)、885只白枕鹤(G.vipio)和8408只灰鹤(G.grus)(主要在鄱阳湖区中部)。2月份的调查计数了3335只白鹤(主要在鄱阳湖国家级自然保护区及其邻近地区)、110只白头鹤(主要在鄱阳湖国家级自然保护区及其邻近地区)、283只白枕鹤(86%在蚌湖)和2205只灰鹤(主要在都昌和南矶山一带)。12月份计数的白鹤数量比2月份高1000多只。由于调查期间白鹤的大中群体都集中在相邻的子湖泊,因此很难排除重复计数;在1996–2009期间多年统计的白鹤平均数量是3019只(最低为1996年的2345只,最高为2002年的4004只),因此我们估计鄱阳湖的白鹤越冬种群大约为3800–4000只。对于白鹤全球种群数量的估测有待于更多的调查和监测。我们的调查同时也显示白枕鹤种群在近年来的持续下降和灰鹤种群的增长。 | 李凤山 吴建东 James HARRIS James BURNHAM | 2012 | Chinese Birds2012,,3: | 14 |
| 3 | Highly efficient GaAs solar cells by limiting light emission angle显示文摘In a conventional flat plate solar cell under direct sunlight,light is received from the solar disk,but is re-emitted isotropically.This isotropic emission corresponds to a significant entropy increase in the solar cell,with a corresponding drop in efficiency.Here,using a detailed balance model,we show that limiting the emission angle of a high-quality GaAs solar cell is a feasible route to achieving power conversion efficiencies above 38%with a single junction.The highest efficiencies are predicted for a thin,light trapping cell with an ideal back reflector,though the scheme is robust to a non-ideal back reflector.Comparison with a conventional planar cell geometry illustrates that limiting emission angle in a light trapping geometry not only allows for much thinner cells,but also for significantly higher overall efficiencies with an excellent rear reflector.Finally,we present ray-tracing and detailed balance analysis of two angular coupler designs,show that significant efficiency improvements are possible with these couplers,and demonstrate initial fabrication of one coupler design. | Emily D Kosten Jackson H Atwater James Parsons Albert Polman Harry A Atwater | 2013 | Light(Science & Applications)2013,2,1: | 9 |

| 8 | Machine learning models compared to existing criteria for noninvasive prediction of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography-confirmed choledocholithiasis显示文摘Background and aims:Noninvasive predictors of choledocholithiasis have generally exhibited marginal performance characteristics.We aimed to identify noninvasive independent predictors of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)-confirmed choledocholithiasis and accordingly developed predictive machine learning models(MLMs).Methods:Clinical data of consecutive patients undergoing first-ever ERCP for suspected chol-edocholithiasis from 2015 to 2019 were abstracted from a prospectively-maintained database.Multiple logistic regression was used to identify predictors of ERCP-confirmed choledocholithiasis.MLMs were then trained to predict ERCP-confirmed choledocholithiasis using pre-ERCP ultrasound(US)imaging only as well as using all available noninvasive imaging(US,computed tomography,and/or magnetic reso-nance cholangiopancreatography).The diagnostic performance of American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(ASGE)“high-likelihood”criteria was compared to MLMs.Results:We identified 270 patients(mean age 46 years,62.2%female,73.7%Hispanic/Latino,59%with noninvasive imaging positive for choledocholithiasis)with native papilla who underwent ERCP for suspected choledocholithiasis,of whom 230(85.2%)were found to have ERCP-confirmed chol-edocholithiasis.Logistic regression identified choledocholithiasis on noninvasive imaging(odds ratio(OR)¼3.045,P¼0.004)and common bile duct(CBD)diameter on noninvasive imaging(OR¼1.157,P¼0.011)as predictors of ERCP-confirmed choledocholithiasis.Among the various MLMs trained,the random forest-based MLM performed best;sensitivity was 61.4%and 77.3%and specificity was 100%and 75.0%,using US-only and using all available imaging,respectively.ASGE high-likelihood criteria demonstrated sensitivity of 90.9%and specificity of 25.0%;using cut-points achieving this specificity,MLMs achieved sensitivity up to 97.7%.Conclusions:MLMs using age,sex,race/ethnicity,presence of diabetes,fever,body mass index(BMI),total bilirubin,maximum CBD diameter,and choledocholithiasis on pre-ERCP noninvasive imaging predict ERCP-confirmed choledocholithiasis with good sensitivity and specificity and outperform the ASGE criteria for patients with suspected choledocholithiasis. | Camellia Dalai John M Azizian Harry Trieu Anand Rajan Formosa C Chen Tien Dong Simon W Beaven James H.Tabibian | 2021 | Liver Research2021,5,4: | 3 |

| 10 | Resection of pancreatic cystic neoplasms in recurrent acute pancreatitis prevents recurrent pancreatitis but does not identify more malignancies显示文摘BACKGROUND Recurrent acute pancreatitis(RAP)may be a presenting feature of and an indication for resection of pancreatic cysts,including intra-ductal papillary mucinous neoplasm(IPMN).Few data are available regarding the prevalence of malignancy and post-operative RAP in this population.AIM To study the role of resection to help prevent RAP and analyze if presentation as RAP would be a predictor for malignancy.METHODS This retrospective study assessed 172 patients who underwent surgical resection of pancreatic cystic neoplasms at a university hospital between 2002 and 2016.The prevalence of preoperative high-risk cyst features,and of neoplasia was compared between patients with and without RAP.To identify the cause of pancreatitis,all the patients had a detailed history of alcohol,smoking,medications obtained,and had cross-sectional imaging(contrast-enhanced computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging)and endoscopic ultrasound to look for gallstone etiology and other structural causes for pancreatitis.The incidence of RAP post-resection was the primary outcome.RESULTS IPMN accounted for 101 cases(58.7%){[branch duct(BD)59(34.3%),main duct(MD)42](24.4%)}.Twenty-nine(16.9%)presented with RAP(mean 2.2 episodes):15 had BD-IPMN,8 MD-IPMN,5 mucinous cystic neoplasm and 1 serous cystic neoplasm.Malignancy was similar among those with vs without RAP for all patients[6/29(20.7%)vs 24/143(16.8%)]and IPMN patients[6/23(26.1%)vs 23/78(29.5%)],although tended to be higher with RAP in BD-IPMN,[5/15(33.3%)vs 3/44(6.8%),P=0.04].At mean follow-up of 7.2 years,1(3.4%)RAP patient had post-resection RAP.The mean episodes of acute pancreatitis before vs after surgery were 3.4 vs 0.02(P<0.0001).CONCLUSION Malignancy was not increased in patients with pancreatic cystic neoplasms who have RAP compared to those without RAP.In addition,specific cyst characteristics were not clearly associated with RAP.The incidence of RAP was markedly decreased in almost all patients following cyst resection. | Thiruvengadam Muniraj Harry R Aslanian Loren Laine Priya A Jamidar James F Farrell Kisha A Mitchell Ronald R Salem | 2021 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,15: | 3 |
