1Indicators of prognosis after liver transplantation in Chinese hepatocellular carcinoma patients显示文摘AIM: To identify prognostic factors of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), who were treated by orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). METHODS: From January 2000 to October 2006, 165 patients with HCC underwent OLT. Various clinicopathological risk factors for actuarial and recurrence-free survival were identified using the Kaplan-Meier method with the log-rank test. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to identify independently predictive factors for actuarial and recurrence-free survival, which were used to propose new selection criteria. We compared the outcome of the subgroup patients meeting different criteria. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method with the log-rank test. RESULTS: The median follow-up was 13.0 mo (2.8-69.5 mo). Overall, 1-, 2-, 3-and 5-year actuarial survival was 73.3%, 45.6%, 35.4% and 32.1%, respectively. One-, 2-, 3-and 5-year overall recurrencefree survival was 67.0%, 44.3%, 34.5% and 34.5%, respectively. In univariate analysis, number of tumors, total tumor size, lobar distribution, differentiation, macrovascular invasion, microvascular invasion, capsulationof the tumor, and lymph node metastasis were found to be associated significantly with actuarial and tumor-free survival. By means of using the multivariate Cox proportional hazards model, total tumor size and macrovas-cular invasion were found to be independent predictors of actuarial and tumor-free survival. When the selection criteria were expanded into the proposed criteria, there was no significant difference in 1-, 2-, 3-and 5-year actuarial and tumor-free survival of the 49 patients who met the proposed criteria (97.6%, 82.8%, 82.8% and 82.8%, and 90.7%, 82.8%, 68.8% and 68.8%, respectively) compared with that of patients who met the Milan or University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) criteria. CONCLUSION: Macrovascular invasion and total tumor diameter are the strongest prognostic factors. 3Solids flow diagram of a CFB riser using Geldart B-type powders显示文摘Riser operating modes are vital to designing a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor for a required process of either a gas-solid or a gas-catalytic nature. Different operating modes provide different solids' residence times and mixing behaviors, which define the reactions' efficiency and yield. The literature demonstrates distinct operating modes resulting from observed differences in slip factors and the range of particle velocities and their associated residence time distribution. The present research uses positron emission particle tracking (PEPT) in a riser of B-type bed material to determine the different operating modes by measuring (i) particle velocities and residence time distribution, (ii) population densities of these particles in the cross-sectional area of the riser, and (iii) solids flow pattern at the bottom of the riser. Data treatment defines four distinct solids hold-up regimes in the riser and proposes a 'phase diagram' depicting the existence of the different operating modes (dilute, dense, core-annulus and combined) as a function of the superficial gas velocity and solids circulation flux in the riser. The delineated regimes have good agreement with available literature data and known industrial operations. Comparison with literature data for risers using A-type powders is also fair. 19Revealing the relationships between alloy structure,composition and plastic deformation in a ternary alloy system by a combinatorial approach显示文摘A high-throughput approach based on magnetron co-sputtering of alloy libraries is employed to investigate mechanical properties of crystalline and amorphous alloys in a ternary palladium(Pd)-tungsten(W)-silicon(Si)system with the aim to reveal the difference in plastic deformation response and extract the relevant structure-property relationships of the alloys in the system.It was found that in contrast to crystalline alloys,the amorphous ones,i.e.,metallic glasses,exhibited a much smaller fluctuation range in the plasticity parameters(Er2/H and Wp/Wt),indicating a significant difference in the plastic deformation mechanism controlling the mechanical properties for the respective alloys.We propose that the inhomogeneous deformation of amorphous alloys localized in thin shear bands is responsible for the weaker compositional dependence of both plasticity parameters,while dislocation gliding in crystalline materials is significantly more dependent on the exact structure,thus resulting in a larger scattering range.Based on the representative efficient cluster packing model,a set of composition-dependent atomic structural models is proposed to figure out the structure-property relationships of amorphous alloys in Pd-W-Si alloy system.Jianping Lai Wen Hu Amit Datye Jingbei Liu Jan Schroers Udo D.Schwarz Jiaxin Yu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25:0
20亚热带山地森林木质藤本和共生树木枝条和叶片性状的分化显示文摘亚热带山地森林木质藤本和共生树木枝条和叶片性状的分化因缺少性状的比较,我们对亚热带山地森林木质藤本和树木的与生态适应策略有关的功能性状变异格局仍知之甚少。本文通过研究中国西南亚热带山地森林中不同叶片习性的33种植物(7种落叶和4种常绿木质藤本、10种落叶和12种常绿树木)的13个性状的分化来填补此空白。研究结果表明,木质藤本的枝条木质部导管直径、理论导水率、比叶面积、叶片氮和磷含量显著高于树木,但其叶片干物质含量和氮磷比显著低于同域分布的树木,表明木质藤本采取获取的生态策略,具有更高效的枝条导水系统和生产力更强的叶片。与树木相比,木质藤本的导管直径变异更大,同时具有一些大导管和很多小导管,说明木质藤本具有较大的导管二型性。生长型解释了性状总变异的48.7%,叶片习性仅解释了3.8%的总变异,生长型和叶片习性之间没有显著的交互作用。此外,枝叶性状仅在树木中存在显著相关,木质藤本中不存在,表明亚热带木质藤本枝条的水力功能与叶片的性状是解耦的。上述结果表明,亚热带山地木质藤本和树木的枝条和叶片功能性状存在显著差异。加强对亚热带山地生态系统中木质藤本和树木生态策略差异机制的认识还需要深入研究。Xiao-Long Bai Da Yang Jan Sher Yun-Bing Zhang Ke-Yan Zhang Qi Liu Han-Dong Wen Jiao-Lin Zhang Martijn Slot 2024Journal of Plant Ecology2024,17,1:0
