| 1 | Dopamine D4 Receptor Gene Associated with the Frontal-Striatal-Cerebellar Loop in Children with ADHD: A Resting-State fMRI Study显示文摘Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is a common childhood neuropsychiatric disorder that has been linked to the dopaminergic system. This study aimed to investigate the effects of regulation of the dopamine D4 receptor(DRD4) on functional brain activity during the resting state in ADHD children using the methods of regional homogeneity(Re Ho) and functional connectivity(FC). Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data were analyzed in 49 children with ADHD. All participants were classified as either carriers of the DRD44-repeat/4-repeat(4 R/4 R) allele(n = 30) or the DRD42-repeat(2 R) allele(n = 19). The results showed that participants with the DRD4 2 R allele had decreased Re Ho bilaterally in the posterior lobes of the cerebellum, while Re Ho was increased in the left angular gyrus. Compared with participants carrying the DRD4 4 R/4 R allele, those with the DRD4 2 R allele showed decreased FC to the left angular gyrus in the left striatum, right inferior frontal gyrus, and bilateral lobes of the cerebellum. The increased FC regions included the left superior frontal gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, and rectus gyrus. These data suggest that the DRD4 polymorphisms are associated with localized brain activity and specific functional connections, including abnormality in the frontal-striatal-cerebellar loop. | 2 | Resting state brain default network in patients with motor aphasia resulting from cerebral infarction显示文摘To explore the brain default mode network(DMN)in patients with motor aphasia resulting from cerebral infarction,we used resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)to investigate the possible neural mechanism.Thirteen patients with motor aphasia resulting from cerebral infarction and ten matched controls were selected in this study.All subjects were examined using resting state fMRI.We chose the posterior cingulate cortex as the region of interest and then used functional connectivity analysis to calculate the DMN functional connectivity and analyze differences in the functional connectivity between the two groups.Compared with normal controls,aphasia patient group showed a significantly decreased functional connectivity in bilateral medial frontal gyrus,superior frontal gyrus,middle frontal gyrus,middle temporal gyrus,precuneus and cuneus.The aphasia patient group showed increased functional connectivity mainly in bilateral medial frontal gyrus,middle frontal gyrus,inferior frontal gyrus,precentral gyrus,insula.The DMN in cerebral infarction motor aphasia patients showed significantly decreased functional connectivity in the resting state.The DMN most likely plays an important role in motor aphasia resulting from cerebral infarction.Furthermore,functional connectivity in the brain regions surrounding the left and right Broca’s areas was significantly enhanced due to compensatory mechanisms.This may be helpful for the recovery of language function in cerebral infarction patients with motor aphasia. | Xin Wang Meihao Wang Weizhuo Wang Huiru Liu Jiejie Tao Chuang Yang Jiance Li | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,31: | 9 |
| 3 | A FCC Catalyst Prepared by in situ Technique Based on Application of Filter Residue and Kaolin显示文摘This paper has provided an effective method to utilize the filter residue. A Y zeolite-containing composite and a fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) catalyst had been successfully prepared by an in-situ crystallization technology using filter residue and kaolin as raw materials. The samples were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, and N_2 adsorption-desorption techniques and evaluated in a bench FCC unit. In comparison to the reference samples synthesized from single kaolin,the silica/alumina molar ratio, the external surface area, and the total pore volume of the composite increased by 16.2%,14.5%, and 16.2%, respectively. The catalyst possessed more meso-and macro-pores and more acid sites than the reference catalyst, and exhibited better coke selectivity. The prepared catalyst had the optimum isomerization and aromatization performance. | 4 | Synthesis and Application of a Zeolite-containing Composite Material Made from Spent FCC Catalyst显示文摘Novel composite material with a wide pore distribution was synthesized by an in situ technique using spent FCC catalyst as raw material. The characterization results indicated that the composite material contained 56.7% of zeolite Y and exhibited a much larger specific surface area and pore volume as well as strong hydrothermal stability. Fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) catalyst was prepared based on the composite material. The results indicated that the as-prepared catalyst possessed a unique pore structure that was advantageous to the diffusion-controlled reactions. In addition, the attrition resistance, activity and hydrothermal stability of the studied catalyst were superior to those of the reference catalyst. The catalyst also exhibited excellent nickel and vanadium passivation performance, strong bottoms upgrading selectivity, and better gasoline and coke selectivity. | 10 | A bruptchanges in an 8000-year precipitationreconst ruction for Nevada,the Western USA显示文摘A scanning t-test algorithm for detecting multiple time-scale abrupt changes in the level of a time-series was used to analyze an 8000 year time series of annual precipitation which was reconstructed from tree rings for the Nevada Climate Division 3 in the western USA. The tree ring samples were gathered from eight states in the southwestern USA. Twenty-two change-points were identified by the algorithm and these were used to partition the tree-ring series into twenty-three relatively Wet/Normal/Dry episodes. These twenty-three episodes were collaborated by a coherency analysis of abrupt changes between the precipitation reconstruction series and the TIC/δ18O records from cored sediments of Pyramid Lake in Nevada, and by comparison with published results from related studies. These episodes were also compared with studies of the global climate change and with records of climate change in China during the same periods.
