| 1 | Chinese Stroke Association guidelines for clinical management of cerebrovascular disorders: executive summary and 2019 update of clinical management of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis显示文摘Aim Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)is a less common cerebrovascular disease that predominantly affects young patients.The incidence of CVST is 2-5/10000000/year,accounting for 0.5%-1%of all stroke.To reduce mortality and morbidity associated with CVST,Chinese Stroke Association commissioned the authors to write the current guideline on the management of CVST.Methods PubMed(MEDLINE),CNKI and Wanfang database were searched for studies related to CVST from 1 January 1990 to 31 July 2019.Data were synthesised by evidence tables.Each recommendation was fully discussed by the writing group members and reviewed by Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Fellow Committees.Levels of evidence grading algorithm of Chinese Stroke Association was used to grade each recommendation.results This guideline mainly focuses on the diagnostic evaluation,therapeutic strategies and secondary prevention of CVST.CT/CTV and MRI/MRV are recommended in the initial imaging evaluation of patients with suspected CVST.Anticoagulation therapy with low-molecular weight heparin should be initiated in patients with CVST immediately.After the acute stage,warfarin is recommended for 3-6 months to prevent the recurrence of CVST and other venous thromboembolic events.Conclusions The guideline summarises the current evidence regarding the management of CVST,and provides references for diagnosis,treatment and secondary prevention of CVST in China. | Yuhua Fan Jian Yu Hongbing Chen Jian Zhang Jiangang Duan Dapeng Mo Wenhao Zhu Bo Wang Fubing Ouyang Yicong Chen Linfang Lan Jinsheng Zeng Chinese Stroke Association Stroke Council CVST Guideline Writing Committee | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 14 |
| 2 | Spatio-temporal Pattern Characteristics of Relationship Between Urbanization and Economic Development at County Level in China显示文摘The relationship between China’s urbanization and economic development(RCUED) is an important concern nationwide. As important actors in regional strategy and policy, county-level regions have played an increasingly significant role in the development of China’s social economy. However, the existing research on the RCUED lacks the fine depiction of the county-level administrative units.Using 2000 and 2010 census data and the statistical analysis method, we uncovered the evolution characteristics of China’s urbanization and economic development and conducted a quantitative identification for the RCUED with improved methods using the quadrant map approach. In addition, we investigated the spatial correlation effect of the RCUED using the spatial autocorrelation analysis method. The results were as follows: 1) In general, a high degree of matching exists between China’s urbanization and economic development at the county level at the significance level of 0.01. The correlation coefficients between China’s urbanization and economic development in2000 and 2010 were 0.608 and 0.603, respectively. 2) A significant regional difference exists in the RCUED at the county level. Based on a comparative analysis of 2276 county units in China in the two years, we found that county units can be categorized as under-urbanized, basic coordination and over-urbanized in various areas. No situation was observed where urbanization seriously lagged behind the economic development level, so the levels of urbanization and economic development appear to be basically coordinated,and the coordination state may be gradually optimized over time. 3) Over time, the spatial dependency of the RCUED has weakened and the spatial heterogeneity has increased. Northeast China has always been an area characterized by over-urbanization. The number of county units classified as under-urbanized has begun to decline in eastern coastal urban agglomeration areas, while counties rich in resources have transformed from having point-shaped over-urbanization to plane-shaped under-urbanization along the northern border,and the number of over-urbanized county units has increased in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. 4)’Lag-lag’ type and ’advance-advance’ type accounted for 68% of all counties in China, and these counties were shown to have obvious spatial differentiation characteristics. | YANG Zhen ZHANG Xiaolei LEI Jun DUAN Zuliang LI Jiangang | 2019 | Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,4: | 9 |

| 4 | Acupuncture effects on serum myelin basic protein and remyelination following 30 minutes and 2 hours of ischemia in a rat model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Acupuncture treatment on injured cerebral axons has shown to provide efficacy in clinical practice.It is unknown whether acupuncture produces therapeutic effects by protecting injured cerebral myelin in ischemic stroke.OBJECTIVE:To test whether acupuncture provides protection for injured cerebral myelin,based on quantitative data from cerebral ischemia-reperfusion rats,and to compare the effects of early and late acupuncture on serum myelin basic protein(MBP) content and remyelination of the ischemic internal capsule.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled experiment was performed at the Neuro-biological Laboratory,Sichuan University from March 2005 to March 2006.MATERIALS:'Hua Tuo' Brand filiform needles were produced by the Medical Instrument Factory of Suzhou,China.METHODS:A total of 52 adult,healthy,male,Sprague Dawley rats were randomly assigned to four groups:control(n=4),model(n=16),early acupuncture(n=16),and late acupuncture(n=16).The focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model was established by middle cerebral artery occlusion in the right hemisphere using the modified thread embolism method in the latter three groups.Early and late acupuncture groups underwent acupuncture after ischemia for 30 minutes and 2 hours using the Xingnaokaiqiao needling method,respectively.Acupoints were 'Neiguan'(PC 6) and 'Sanyinjiao'(SP 6) on the bilateral sides,as well as 'Shuigou'(DU 26) and 'Baihui'(DU 20) with stimulation for 1 minute at each acupoint.Acupuncture at all acupoints was performed two or three times while the needle was retained,once per day.No special handling was administered to the control group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:For each group,remyelination of the internal capsule was observed by Pal-Weigert's myelin staining and serum MBP content was detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method on days 1,3,5,and 7 following ischemia-reperfusion injury.RESULTS:Compared with the control group,massive demyelination of the internal capsule occurred,and serum MBP content increased in the model group(P<0.05).Compared with the model group,the extent of demyelination in the internal capsule was less distinct and serum MBP content was significantly less in the early and late acupuncture group(P<0.01).Compared with the late acupuncture group,serum MBP content reached a peak later and the peak value was less in the early acupuncture group.CONCLUSION:Results suggest that acupuncture exerts a protective effect on injured cerebral myelin in ischemia-reperfusion rats by reducing serum MBP content and promoting remyelination.The study also suggests that the effect of early acupuncture is superior to late acupuncture. | Jiangang Duan Ming Liu | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,4: | 1 |

| 8 | From the teapot effect to tap-triggered self-wetting: a 3D self-driving sieve for whole blood filtration显示文摘Achieving passive microparticle filtration with micropore membranes is challenging due to the capillary pinning effect of the membranes.Inspired by the teapot effect that occurs when liquid(tea)is poured from a teapot spout,we proposed a tap-triggered self-wetting strategy and utilized the method with a 3D sieve to flter rare cells.First,a 3D-printed polymer tap-trigger microstructure was implemented.As a result,the 3μm micropore membrane gating threshold(the pressure needed to open the micropores)was lowered from above 3000 to 80 Pa by the tap-trigger microstructure that facilated the liquid leakage and spreading to self-wet more membrane area in a positive feedback loop.Then,we implemented a 3D cone-shaped cell sieve with tap-trigger microstructures.Driven by gravity,the sieve performed at a high throughput above 20 mL/min(DPBS),while the micropore size and porosity were 3μm and 14.1%,respectively.We further filtered leukocytes from whole blood samples with the proposed new 3D sieve,and the method was compared with the traditional method of leukocyte isolation by chemically removing red blood cells.The device exhibited comparable leukocyte purity but a higher platelet removal rate and lower leukocyte simulation level,facilitating downstream single-cell analysis.The key results indicated that the tap-triggered self-wetting strategy could significantly improve the performance of passive microparticle filtration. | Yuang Li Xue Li Lina Zhang Xiaofeng Luan Jiahong jiang Lingqian Zhang Mingxiao Li Jinghui Wang Jiangang Duan Haiping Zhao Yang Zhao Chengjun Huang | 2023 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,2: | 0 |
