| 1 | Geological analysis and FT dating of the large-scale right-lateral strike-slip movement of the Red River fault zone显示文摘Tectonically, the large-scale right-lateral strike-slip movement along the Red River fault zone is char-acterized at its late phase with the southeastward extension and deformation of the Northwestern Yunnan normal fault depression on its northern segment, and the dextral shear displacement on its central-southern segment. Research of the relations between stratum deformation and fault movement on the typical fault segments, such as Jianchuan, southeast Midu, Yuanjiang River, Yuanyang, etc. since the Miocene Epoch shows that there are two times dextral faulting dominated by normal shearing occurring along the Red River fault zone since the Miocene Epoch. The fission track dating (abbrevi-ated to FT dating, the same below) is conducted on apatite samples collected from the above fault segments and relating to these movements. Based on the measured single grain’s age and the con-fined track length, we choose the Laslet annealing model to retrieve the thermal history of the samples, and the results show that the fault zone experienced two times obvious shear displacement, one in 5.5 ± 1.5 MaBP and the other in 2.1± 0.8 MaBP. | 3 | Application of zebrafish in the study of the gut microbiome显示文摘Zebrafish(D anio rerio)have attracted much attention over the past decade as a reliable model for gut microbiome research.Owing to their low cost,strong genetic and development coherence,efficient preparation of germ-f ree(GF)larvae,availability in high-t hroughput chemical screening,and fitness for intravital imaging in vivo,zebrafish have been extensively used to investigate microbiome-h ost interactions and evaluate the toxicity of environmental pollutants.In this review,the advantages and disadvantages of zebrafish for studying the role of the gut microbiome compared with warm-b looded animal models are first summarized.Then,the roles of zebrafish gut microbiome on host development,metabolic pathways,gut-b rain axis,and immune disorders and responses are addressed.Furthermore,their applications for the toxicological assessment of aquatic environmental pollutants and exploration of the molecular mechanism of pathogen infections are reviewed.We highlight the great potential of the zebrafish model for developing probiotics for xenobiotic detoxification,resistance against bacterial infection,and disease prevention and cure.Overall,the zebrafish model promises a brighter future for gut microbiome research. | Xiaoting Zhong Jinglin Li Furong Lu Jingjing Zhang Lianxian Guo | 2022 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,4: | 1 |

| 7 | Extracts of Portulaca oleracea promote wound healing by enhancing angiology regeneration and inhibiting iron accumulation in mice显示文摘Objective:To investigate the role of Portulaca oleracea(POL)in promoting revascularization and reepithelization as well as inhibiting iron aggregation and inflammation of deep tissue pressure injury(DTPI).Methods:The hydroalcoholic extract of POL(P)and aqueous phase fraction of POL(PD)were prepared based on maceration and liquid–liquid extraction.The number of new blood vessels and VEGF-A expression level were assessed using H&E stain and Western blot on injured muscle to examine the role of POL different extracts in vascularization.The iron distribution and total elemental iron of injured muscle were detected using laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)and Perls’staining to determine whether POL extracts can inhibit the iron accumulation.Besides,the ability of POL extracts to promote wound healing by combining re-epithelization time,inflammation degree and collagen deposition area were comprehensively evaluated.Results:In vitro,we observed a significant increase in HUVEC cell viability,migration rate and the number of the tube after P and PD treatment(P<0.05).In vivo,administration of P and PD impacted vascularization and iron accumulation on injured tissue,evident from more new blood vessels,higher expression of VEGF-A and decreased muscle iron concentration of treatment groups compared with no-treatment groups(P<0.05).Besides,shorter re-epithelization time,reduced inflammatory infiltration and distinct collagen deposition were associated with administration of P and PD(P<0.05).Conclusion:POL extract administration groups have high-quality wound healing,which is associated with increased new blood vessels,collagen deposition and re-epithelization,along with decreased iron accumulation and inflammatory infiltration.Our results suggest that that POL extract is beneficial to repair injured muscle after ischemia–reperfusion,highlighting the potential of POL in the DTPI treatment. | Jinglin Guo Juan Peng Jing Han Ke Wang Ruijuan Si Hui Shan Xiaoying Wang Ju Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2022,14,2: | 0 |
