1Relations between oxygen stable isotopic ratios in precipitation and relevant meteorological factors in southwest China显示文摘The correlations of isotopic ratios in precipitation with temperature, air pressure and humidity at dif- ferent altitudes, in southwest China, are analyzed. There appear marked negative correlations for the δ 18O in precipitation with precipitation amount, vapor pressure and atmospheric precipitable water (PW) at Mengzi, Simao and Tengchong stations on synoptic timescale; the marked negative correlations between the δ 18O in precipitation and the diurnal mean temperature at 400 hPa, 500 hPa, 700 hPa and 850 hPa are different from the temperature effect in middle-high-latitude inland. Moreover, the notable positive correlation between the δ 18O in precipitation and the dew-point deficit △Td at different altitudes is found at the three stations. On annual timescale, the annual precipitation amount weighted mean δ 18O display the negative correlations not only with annual precipitation but also with annual mean temperature at 500 hPa. It can be deduced that, in the years with abnormally strong summer monsoon, more warm and wet air from low-latitude oceans is transported northward along the vapor channel located in southwest China and generates abnormally strong rainfall on the way. Meanwhile, the ab- normally strong condensation process will release more condensed latent heat into atmosphere, and lead to the rise of atmospheric temperature during rainfall, but decline of the δ 18O in precipitation. On the contrary, in the years with abnormally weak summer monsoon, the abnormally weak condensation process will release less condensed latent heat into atmosphere, and lead to the decline of atmos- pheric temperature during rainfall, but increase of the δ 18O in precipitation.ZHANG XinPing LIU JingMiao SUN WeiZheng HUANG YiMin ZHANG JianMing 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,4:17
2Cysteine mutations impair the structural stability of phosphomannomutase 2(PMM2)in glycosylation-associated metabolic disorders显示文摘Glycosylation is a ubiquitous molecular modification in the process of cellular metabolism regulation, which plays a vital role in maintaining and regulating cellular functions.Deficiency in glycosylation enzymes may jeopardize the glycosylation process and eventually lead to the metabolic disease, manifesting with either a neurologic or multisystem phenotype, which is also known as congenital disorder of glycosylation(CDG).1 It could be classified into type I CDG and type II CDG,and the latter was referred to as the abnormal formation of nascent glycoprotein.Phosphomannomutase 2 CDG(PMM2-CDG),the most prevalent CDG with an incidence rate of 1 in 20,000 individuals,is mainly due to the metabolic disorder of phosphomannomutase 2(PMM2).2 PMM2 participates in the conversion of mannose-6-phosphate to mannose-1-phosphate.The cysteine residues,as one of the least abundant amino acids, have unique attributes to maintain the stability of protein structure, especially for catalytic activity and protein folding.3 Therefore, cysteine mutations have been identified in various diseases including PMM2-CDG.Suggested by the crystal structure of PMM2(PDB ID:7O5Z),4 four cysteine mutations in the hPMM2,C9Y,C103F,C192G,and C241S,have been found in PMM2-CDG.After bioinformatic analysis by PROVEAN,the four cysteine mutations were predicted with“Deleterious”,ranking with the best two were C103F and C192G(C9Y:−5.493,C103F:−6.339,C192G:−11.176,C241S:−2.986).However,the underlying pathological mechanism is still unclear.Among them,C103F and C192G have only been reported in clinical study without a detailed explanation,so they were selected for our research. Two mutants were located near the linker region 1 and 2;C103F was located on the No.4αhelix and C192G was located on the No.7αhelix(Fig.S1A).The purpose of this study was to explore the structure and function roles of PMM2 clinical mutation and investigate the role of cysteine in PMM2 which might provide new insights into preventive and therapeutic strategies for PMM2-CDG.Yunfan Pan Li Lin Fan Yu Jingmiao Sun Guannan Bai Xinyu He Jianhua Mao Lidan Hu 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,5:0
3Modification of the SUNFLUX Solar Radiation Scheme with a New Aerosol Parameterization and Its Validation Using Observation Network Data显示文摘SUNFLUX is a fast parameterization scheme for determination of the solar radiation at the Earth's surface. In this paper,SUNFLUX is further modified in the treatment of aerosols.A new aerosol parameterization scheme is developed for five aerosol species.Observational data from Baseline Surface Radiation Network(BSRN),Surface Radiation Budget Network(SURFRAD) and Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET) stations are used to evaluate the accuracy of the original and modified SUNFLUX schemes.General meteorological data are available at SURFRAD stations, but not at BSRN stations. Therefore, the total precipitable water content and aerosol data are obtained from AERONET stations.Fourteen stations are selected from both BSRN and AERONET.Cloud fraction data from MODIS are further used to screen the cloud.Ten-year average aerosol mixing ratios simulated by the CAM-chem system are used to calculate the fractions of aerosol optical depth for each aerosol species, and these fractions are further used to convert the observed total aerosol optical depth into the components of individual species for use in the evaluations. The proper treatment of multiple aerosol types in the model is discussed. The evaluation results using SUNFLUX with the new aerosol scheme,in terms of the BSRN dataset, are better than those using the original aerosol scheme under clear-sky conditions. However, the results using the SURFRAD dataset are slightly worse, attributable to the differences in the input water vapor and aerosol optical depth.Sensitivity tests are conducted to investigate the error response of the SUNFLUX scheme to the errors in the input variables.Yongjian HE Zhi'an SUN Guoping SHI Jingmiao LIU Jiandong LI 2017Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2017,34,11:0
