| 4 | Investigation on film cooling characteristics from a row of converging slot-holes on flat plate显示文摘Experimental and numerical researches were conducted to investigate the cooling performance of a single row of consoles (converging slot-hole) on a large-scale flat-plate model. The results show that the coolant flow from a row of consoles shows good lateral uniformity of adiabatic effectiveness, with regions of slightly enhanced cooling occurring between the consoles. For the console cooling geometry, the interaction between coolant jet from inclined console and the mainstream flow results in reasonable vortices configuration. A pair of counter rotating vortices originate from the edge of slot, not from the centerline of film holes and the rotating direction is contrary to conventional cylindrical hole. | 5 | Numerical Study of Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Impingement/Effusion Cooling显示文摘Three-dimensional numerical simulation is carried out to investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics of impingement/effusion cooling systems. The impingement/effusion holes are arranged on two parallel perforated plates respectively in a staggered manner. Every effusion hole has an inclined angle of 30° with respect to the surface. The two parallel plates are spaced three times the diameter of the effusion hole. The ratio of center-to-center spacing of adjacent holes to the diameter of the effusion hole is set to be 3.0,4.0 and 5.0 respectively. The flow field,temperature field and wall film cooling effectiveness are calculated for different blowing ratios ranging from 0.5 to 1.5. | 8 | Seismic geomorphology and main controls of deep-water gravity flow sedimentary process on the slope of the northern South China Sea显示文摘The Quaternary continental slope of the Baiyun Sag in northern South China Sea is characterized by a complex topography and abundant gravity flow sedimentation.High-resolution 3-D seismic data in this area allow for a detailed study of the seismic geomorphology and deep-water gravity flow depositional process.The Quaternary continental slope in the northern South China Sea is an above-graded slope.An intraslope basin lies within the above-grade continental slope.Slump,erosion,and deposition processes tend to develop a gentle topography and consequently a graded slope.The upper continental slope,which is above the slope equilibrium profile,is dominated by erosion and slumping.Slides,slumps and erosional channels are developed within this continental slope.The intraslope basin is located below the slope equilibrium profile and is potential accommodation space where sediments transported by gravity flows could be deposited,forming lobe aprons.Under the influence of gravity flow supply,gravity flow duration,continental slope topography,equilibrium profile,and accommodation,a slump-erosional channel-lobe depositional system is developed in the Quaternary continental slope in the Baiyun Sag.The deep-water gravity flow depositional process and the distribution of gravity flow sediments are greatly influenced by the continental slope topography,while the continental slope topography at the same time is reshaped by deep-water gravity flow depositional process and its products.The study of the interplay between the continental slope and gravity flow is helpful in predicting the distribution of the deep-water gravity flow sediments and the variation of sediment quality. | LI Lei WANG YingMin XU Qiang ZHAO JingZhou LI Dong | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,5: | 12 |
| 9 | Progress in helicopter infrared signature suppression显示文摘Due to their low-attitude and relatively low-speed fight profiles, helicopters are subjected to serious threats from radio, infrared(IR), visual, and aural detection and tracking. Among these threats, infrared detection and tracking are regarded as more crucial for the survivability of helicopters. In order to meet the requirements of infrared stealth, several different types of infrared suppressor(IRS) for helicopters have been developed. This paper reviews contemporary developments in this discipline, with particular emphasis on infrared signature suppression, advances in mixer-ejectors and prediction for helicopters. In addition, several remaining challenges, such as advanced IRS, emissivity optimization technique, helicopter infrared characterization, etc., are proposed, as an initial guide and stimulation for future research. In the future, the comprehensive infrared suppression in the 3–5 lm and 8–14 lm bands will doubtfully become the emphasis of helicopter stealth. | 10 | Influence of Multi-hole Arrangement on Cooling Film Development显示文摘A series of computations is conducted for many multi-hole arrangements at several blowing ratios to further investigate the evolution of the film from multi-holes. The influence of multi-hole arrangement on effusion film cooling is analyzed and a preliminary relationship evaluating the film development from developing state to developed state is brought forward. Results show that the coolant jets from front rows of multi-holes merge rapidly and the strength of the kidney vortices due to mainstream-coolant jet interaction in the downstream region are mitigated under super-long-diamond arrangement where the streamwise hole-to-hole pitch is bigger than spanwise hole-to-hole pitch. | 11 | Experimental study on flow and heat transfer characteristics of synthetic jet driven by piezoelectric actuator显示文摘To investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics of a synthetic jet driven by piezoelectric actuator, experimental investigation utilizing particle image veloci- metry, hot-wire anemometer and infrared camera was carried out. The results show that: (1) At the jet orifice exit, pairs of vortexes are generated, broken down and merged together periodically, forming a steady jet within a several slot width from distance near the orifice exit. And during the development, the synthetic jet spreads rapidly along the minor axis direction of the orifice. While along the major axis direction, the synthetic jet contracts firstly and then spreads slowly. (2) Exci- tation frequency forced on the actuator has a great effect on the synthetic jet flow field. There are two resonance frequencies at which the mean velocity and vorticity of the synthetic jet are maximized, especially at the higher resonance frequency. The resonance frequency values obtained by the experiment are lower than the theoretical values. (3) Similarly to the common jet impingement, the convective heat transfer coefficients at the target surface impinged by the synthetic jet also take on up-down tendency varying with the jet-to-surface spacing increment. | 13 | The relationship between methylated chromans and maturity of organic matter in the source rocks from Jianghan hypersaline basin显示文摘The distribution,the relative composition,and their variation of methylated chromans(MTTC) with maturation of organic matter in the source rocks from Mingjia 1 well,Jianghan hypersaline basin,have been analyzed and studied. There is a close relationship between the distribution of methylatd chromans and paleosalinity of depositional environment. In the Eq1-Eq3 source rocks deposited under hypersaline environment with lower Pr/Ph ratio,higher gammacerane index and abundant organic sulfur-containing compounds,methyl MTTC and dimethyl MTTC are main components,but in the Eq4 source rocks deposited non-hypersaline environment with relatively higher Pr/Ph ratio,lower gammacerane index and organic sulfur-containing compounds,trimethyl MTTC is a major compound in methylate chromans. Obviously,the distributions and the compositions of methylated chromans in the source rocks are in harmony with biomarker indicators indicating the paleaosalinity and redox of depositional environment. The relationship between the ratio of 5,8-dimethyl MTTC to 7,8-dimethyl MTTC(dimethyl MTTC ratio) and the maturity of organic matter in the source rocks from Mingjia 1 well has been discussed. The results show that dimethyl MTTC ratio increased with the burial depth and the maturation of organic matter in the source rocks,especially in immature level. It is noteworthy that this ratio is very susceptible to small variation in the maturity of organic matter in the source rocks when vitrinite reflectance Ro is less than 0.65%. | 15 | Experimental study on film cooling performance of imperfect holes显示文摘An experimental study is made to investigate the film cooling performance of imperfect holes due to in-hole blockage over a flat plate. A specifically pyramid-shaped element is used to simulate the in-hole blockage. Six in-hole blockage orientations(such as leading-inlet, leading-middle,leading-exit, trailing-inlet, trailing-middle and trailing-exit) and four blocking ratios(ranging from 0.1 to 0.4) are taken into considerations. Based on the experimental results, the influences of in-hole blockage on the film cooling effectiveness and discharge coefficient under typical blowing ratios are analyzed. It is confirmed that the in-hole blockage results in a reduction of discharge coefficient related to the perfect film cooling holes, especially for the leading-exit and trailing-inlet orientations with a big blocking ratio. However, in the view of film cooling effectiveness, the in-hole blockage shows complicated affecting roles. | 19 | The noble gas isotope geochemical composition of chert at the bottom of Cambrian in Tarim Basin,China显示文摘In the Tarim Basin,black shale series at the bottom of Cambrian is one of the important marine facies hydrocarbon source rocks. This research focuses on the analysis of the isotope of noble gas of 11 cherts. The R/Ra ratio of chert in the Keping area is 0.032―0.319,and 40Ar/36Ar is 338―430. In Quruqtagh the R/Ra ratio is 0.44―10.21,and 40Ar/36Ar is 360―765. The R/Ra ratio of chert increases with 40Ar/36Ar from the west to the east accordingly. They have evolved from the crust source area to the mantle source area in a direct proportion. Surplus argon 40ArE in chert is in direct proportion to the R/Ra ratio,indicating that it has the same origin of excess argon as in fluid and mantle source helium. Comparison of the R/Ra ratios between the west and the east shows that the chert in the eastern part formed from the activity system of the bottom hydrothermal venting driven by the mantle source,where the material and energy of crust and mantle had a strong interaction in exchange;whereas in the western part,chert deposited from the floating of hydrothermal plume undersea bottom,which is far away from the centre of activities of the hydrothermal fluid of ocean bottom. | 20 | Functional genomics of maize submergence tolerance and cloning of the related gene Sicyp51显示文摘In this study, SSH (Suppression Subtractive Hybridization) and cDNA microarray were used to identify genes associated with waterlogging response of maize roots. Mo17 and Hz32 are two maize inbred lines with differential tolerance to hypoxia. Seedlings of the inbred lines with two leaves were submerged in hypoxia buffer. SSH libraries were constructed with cDNA samples from roots. Both forward and reverse subtractions were performed for each inbred line, and 105 positive clones induced by hypoxia were selected by differential screening. The treated and control message RNA were hybridized with the cDNA microarray of Mo17, sequen-tially, 57 of 3-fold differentially expressed clones were obtained. A total of 162 positive clones were all sequenced. Bioinformatics analysis showed these positive clones represent 85 TUGs, including genes involved in several biochemistry pathways, such as glycolysis, protection, signal transduction, cell construction and energy metabolism and 41 EST with unknown function. Comparison between Mo17 and Hz32 indicates that genes related to hypoxia tolerance have different expression patterns in submerged roots.
