6Advances in post-operative prognostic models for hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the most common malignancies and a leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide.Surgery remains the primary and most successful therapy option for the treatment of early-and mid-stage HCCs,but the high heterogeneity of HCC renders prognostic prediction challenging.The construction of relevant prognostic models helps to stratify the prognosis of surgically treated patients and guide personalized clinical decision-making,thereby improving patient survival rates.Currently,the prognostic assessment of HCC is based on several commonly used staging systems,such as Tumor-Node-Metastasis(TNM),Cancer of the Liver Italian Program(CLIP),and Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC).Given the insufficiency of these staging systems and the aim to improve the accuracy of prognostic prediction,researchers have incorporated further prognostic factors,such as microvascular infiltration,and proposed some new prognostic models for HCC.To provide insights into the prospects of clinical oncology research,this review describes the commonly used HCC staging systems and new models proposed in recent years.Ziqin HE Xiaomin SHE Ziyu LIU Xing GAO Lu LU Julu HUANG Cheng LU Yan LIN Rong LIANG Jiazhou YE 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2023,24,3:1

20Respiratory modulation of cardiac vagal tone in Lyme disease显示文摘AIM: To conduct the first systematic test of the hypothesis that modulation of cardiac vagal tone is impaired in Lyme disease.METHODS: The response of cardiac vagal tone to respiratory modulation was measured in 18 serologically positive Lyme disease patients and in 18 controls.RESULTS: The two groups were matched in respect of age,sex,body mass,mean arterial blood pressure,mean resting heart rate and mean resting cardiac vagal tone. The mean maximum cardiac vagal tone during deep breathing in the Lyme disease patients [11.2(standard error 1.3)] was lower than in the matched controls [16.5(standard error 1.7); P = 0.02].CONCLUSION: Respiratory modulation of cardiac vagal tone is impaired in Lyme disease,which suggests that Lyme disease may directly affect the vagus nerve or the brainstem.Basant K Puri Mussadiq Shah Jean A Monro Michele C Kingston Peter OO Julu 2014World Journal of Cardiology2014,6,6:0
