| 1 | Requirements for the transfer of lead-free piezoceramics into application显示文摘The recent review for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive(RoHS)by the expert committee,appointed by the European Union,stated that the replacement of PZT“…may be scientifically and technologically practical to a certain degree…”,although replacement“…is scientifically and technically still impractical in the majority of applications.”Thus,two decades of sustained research and development may be approaching fruition,at first limited to a minority of applications.Therefore,it is of paramount importance to assess the viability of lead-free piezoceramics over a broad range of application-relevant properties.These are identified and discussed in turn:1.Cost,2.Reproducibility,3.Mechanical and Thermal Properties,4.Electrical Conductivity,and 5.Lifetime.It is suggested that the worldwide efforts into the development of lead-free piezoceramics now require a broader perspective to bring the work to the next stage of development by supporting implementation into real devices.Guidelines about pertinent research requirements into a wide range of secondary properties,measurement techniques,and salient literature are provided. | Jurij Koruza Andrew J.Bell Till Fromling Kyle G.Webber Ke Wang Jürgen Rodel | 2018 | Journal of Materiomics2018,4,1: | 14 |

| 3 | Electromechanical properties of Ce-doped(Ba_(0.85)Ca_(0.15))(Zr_(0.1)Ti_(0.9))O_(3)lead-free piezoceramics显示文摘Lead-free piezoceramics based on the(Ba,Ca)(Zr,Ti)O3(BCZT) system exhibit excellent electromechanical properties for low-temperature actuation applications, but suffer from relatively high processing temperatures. Here we demonstrate an approach for the reduction of the sintering temperature and simultaneous increase of the electromechanical strain response of(Ba,Ca)(Zr,Ti)O3 piezoceramics by aliovalent doping with Ce. The samples were prepared by solid state synthesis and their crystallographic structure, dielectric, ferroelectric, and electromechanical properties were investigated. The highest d33* value of 1189 pm/V was obtained for the sample with 0.05 mol% Ce, substituted on the A-site of the perovskite lattice. | 4 | Calibration and uniqueness analysis of microparameters for DEM cohesive granular material显示文摘The differential evolution(DE)algorithm was deployed to calibrate microparameters of the DEM cohesive granular material.4 macroparameters,namely,uniaxial compressive strength,direct tensile strength,Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio,can be calibrated to high accuracy.The best calibration accuracy could reach the sum of relative errors RE_(sum)<0.1%.Most calibrations can be achieved with RE_(sum)<5%within hours or RE_(sum)<1%within 2 days.Based on the calibrated results,microparameters uniqueness analysis was carried out to reveal the correlation between microparameters and the macroscopic mechanical behaviour of material:(1)microparameters effective modulus,tensile strength and normal-to-shear stiffness ratio control the elastic behaviour and stable crack growth,(2)microparameters cohesion and friction angles present a negative linear correlation that controls the axial strain and lateral strain prior to the peak stress,and(3)microparameters friction coefficient controls shear crack friction and slip mainly refers to the unstable crack behaviour.Consideration of more macroparameters to regulate the material mechanical behaviour that is dominated by shear crack and slip motion is highlighted for future study.The DE calibration method is expected to serve as an alternative method to calibrate the DEM cohesive granular material to its peak strength. | Songtao Ji Jurij Karlovšek | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Sensor fusion-based approach for the field robot localization on Rovitis 4.0 vineyard robot显示文摘This study proposed an approach for robot localization using data from multiple low-cost sensors with two goals in mind,to produce accurate localization data and to keep the computation as simple as possible.The approach used data from wheel odometry,inertial-motion data from the Inertial Motion Unit(IMU),and a location fix from a Real-Time Kinematics Global Positioning System(RTK GPS).Each of the sensors is prone to errors in some situations,resulting in inaccurate localization.The odometry is affected by errors caused by slipping when turning the robot or putting it on slippery ground.The IMU produces drifts due to vibrations,and RTK GPS does not return to an accurate fix in(semi-)occluded areas.None of these sensors is accurate enough to produce a precise reading for a sound localization of the robot in an outdoor environment.To solve this challenge,sensor fusion was implemented on the robot to prevent possible localization errors.It worked by selecting the most accurate readings in a given moment to produce a precise pose estimation.To evaluate the approach,two different tests were performed,one with robot localization from the robot operating system(ROS)repository and the other with the presented Field Robot Localization.The first did not perform well,while the second did and was evaluated by comparing the location and orientation estimate with ground truth,captured by a hovering drone above the testing ground,which revealed an average error of 0.005 m±0.220 m in estimating the position,and 0.6°±3.5°when estimating orientation.The tests proved that the developed field robot localization is accurate and robust enough to be used on a ROVITIS 4.0 vineyard robot. | Jurij Rakun Matteo Pantano Peter Lepej Miran Lakota | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6: | 2 |
