1A Review Featuring Fabrication, Properties and Applications of Carbon Nanotubes(CNTs) Reinforced Polymer and Epoxy Nanocomposites显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) have long been recognized as the stiffest and strongest man-made material known to date. In addition, their high electrical conductivity has roused interest in the areas of electrical appliances and communication related applications. However, due to their miniature size, the excellent properties of these nanostructures can only be exploited if they are homogeneously embedded into light-weight matrices as those offered by a whole series of engineering polymers. In order to enhance their chemical affinity to engineering polymer matrices, chemical modification of the graphitic sidewalls and tips is necessary. The mechanical and electrical properties to date of a whole range of nanocomposites of various carbon nanotube contents are also reviewed in this attempt to facilitate progress in this emerging area. Recently, carbonaceous nano-fillers such as graphene and carbon nanotubes(CNTs) play a promising role due to their better structural and functional properties and broad range of applications in every field. Since CNTs usually form stabilized bundles due to van der Waals interactions, they are extremely difficult to disperse and align in a polymer matrix. The biggest issues in the preparation of CNTs reinforced composites reside in efficient dispersion of CNTs into a polymer matrix, the assessment of the dispersion, and the alignment and control of the CNTs in the matrix. An overview of various CNT functionalization methods is given. In particular, CNT functionalization using click chemistry and the preparation of CNT composites employing hyperbranched polymers are stressed as potential techniques to achieve good CNT dispersion. 2Metabolic alterations in cancer cells and therapeutic implications显示文摘Cancer metabolism has emerged as an important area of research in recent years.Elucidation of the metabolic differences between cancer and normal cells and the underlying mechanisms will not only advance our understanding of fundamental cancer cell biology but also provide an important basis for the development of new therapeutic strategies and novel compounds to selectively eliminate cancer cells by targeting their unique metabolism.This article reviews several important metabolic alterations in cancer cells,with an emphasis on increased aerobic glycolysis (the Warburg effect) and glutamine addiction,and discusses the mechanisms that may contribute to such metabolic changes.In addition,metabolic alterations in cancer stem cells,mitochondrial metabolism and its influence on drug sensitivity,and potential therapeutic strategies and agents that target cancer metabolism are also discussed.Naima Hammoudi Kausar Begam Riaz Ahmed1 Celia Garcia- Prieto Peng Huang 2011Chinese Journal of Cancer2011,30,8:6
3Thermal, Mechanical and Electrical Studies of Novel Shape Memory Polyurethane/Polyaniline Blends显示文摘Shape memory polymer(SMP) blends based on polyurethane(PU) and polyaniline(PANI) were prepared via chemical in situ polymerization process. The thermal, mechanical, electrical and shape memory properties were investigated. The structural characterization and morphology of the polymer blends were inspected by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), respectively. The 1 wt% of PANI loading enhanced the thermal stability of the system up to 339 °C. According to differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), the glass transition temperature(Tg) and melting temperature(Tm) of PU/PANI blends increased with the polyaniline loading(0.1 wt%-1 wt%). Improved mechanical properties such as tensile strength and Young's modulus of PU matrix were also observed with PANI. Moreover, the electrical conductivity of PU/PANI blends was also found to be a function of PANI loading. 4固氮粪产碱菌的耐盐特性及在盐胁迫下与宿主水稻的相互作用显示文摘固氮粪产碱菌(Alcaligenes faecalis)A1501在盐浓度为0.8 mol·L^(-1)LB 固体培养基上生长良好,当盐浓度高于1.2 mol·L^(-1)时生长完全被抑制。在 LB 培养液中,即使盐浓度高达1.6 mol·L^(-1),仍能缓慢生长,但菌体结成团状。在高盐胁迫下.固氮粪产碱菌 A1501能产生吲哚乙酸(IAA),并保持一定的乙炔还原活性,当盐浓度超过1.0 mol·L^(-1)时,固氮活性丧失。采用肺炎克氏杆菌(Klebsiella pneumonia)nifHDKYE DNA 片段作探针,对不同盐浓度生长的粪产碱菌总 DNA 进行 Southern 杂交分析,结果表明在盐胁迫下及正常盐浓度下 nif 基因的同源杂交带基本一致。接种固氮粪产碱菌能增强宿主水稻的耐盐能力,当盐浓度在0.05%~0.4%时,接种的促生长效益最为显著。粪产碱菌 nifH-LacZ 和 nifA-LacZ 在高盐胁迫下仍能在根表及内根际高水平表达,但 nifH 和 nifA 在内根际的表达部位和强度差异明显。平淑珍 林敏 尤崇杓 Kausar A.Malik 1996农业生物技术学报1996,4,1:3

7Effects of plastic sheet on water saving and yield under furrow irrigation method in semi-arid region显示文摘The increasing demand of water in the country highlights the need to introduce low-input and water saving technologies for agricultural sustainability and crop production,mainly in semi-arid region.A study was conducted to minimize deep percolation losses from the furrow bottom under two different irrigation treatments viz.(1)furrow bottom with plastic sheet(T1)and(2)furrow bottom without plastic Sheet(T0).The physical and chemical analyses of soil profile were taken at a depth of 0-80 cm before and after crop harvesting.The dry density of soil slightly increased(0.01 g/cm^(3))under both treatments,while soil pH decreased under T1.The average yield was 8332 kg/hm^(2) and 7575 kg/hm^(2),with 21.56 m^(3) and 31.09 m^(3) total volume of irrigation water applied under T1and T0,respectively.The saving percentages of water under treatments were 52.22% and 31.00% under T1 and T0 respectively as compared to the saving of water under traditional irrigation practice.Overall,better performance,in terms of crop production and water saving,was obtained with use of plastic sheet integrated with bottom of furrows.Hence,it is suggested that the furrow irrigation method with plastic sheet may be used to preventing moisture and minimize deep percolation losses from furrow bottom.Muhammad Sohail Memon Kausar Ali Altaf Ali Siyal Jun Guo Shamim Ara Memon Shakeel Ahmed Soomro Noreena Memon Changying Ji 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,1:2
