| 1 | A consensus linkage map of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs associated with growth traits显示文摘The ability to detect and identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) in a single population is often limited. Analyzing multiple populations in QTL analysis improves the power of detecting QTLs and provides a better understanding of their functional allelic variation and distribution. In this study, a consensus map of the common carp was constructed, based on four populations, to compare the distribution and variation of QTLs. The consensus map spans 2371.6 cM across the 42 linkage groups and comprises 257 microsatellites and 421 SNPs, with a mean marker interval of 3.7 cM/marker. Sixty-seven QTLs affecting four growth traits from the four populations were mapped to the consensus map. Only one QTL was common to three populations, and nine QTLs were detected in two populations. However, no QTL was common to all four populations. The results of the QTL comparison suggest that the QTLs are responsible for the phenotypic variability observed for these traits in a broad array of common carp germplasms. | 2 | Quantitative trait loci for morphometric traits in multiple families of common carp(Cyprinus carpio)显示文摘Quantitative trait locus(QTL) mapping is frequently used to understand the genetic architecture of quantitative traits.Herein,we performed a genome scanfor QTL affecting the morphometric characters in eight full-sib families containing 522 individuals using different statistical methods(Sib-pair and half-sib model).A total of 194 QTLs were detected in 25 different regions on 10 linkage groups(LGs).Among them,37 QTLs on five LGs(eight,13,24,40 and 45) were significant(5%genome-wide level),while the remaining 40(1%chromosome-wide level) and 117(5%chromosome-wide level) indicated suggestive effect on those traits.Heritabilities for most morphometric traits were moderate to high,ranging from 0.21 to 0.66,with generally strong phenotypic and genetic correlations between the traits.A large number of QTLs for morphometric traits were co-located,consistent with their high correlations,and may reflect pleiotropic effect on the same genes.Biological pathways were mapped for possible candidate genes on QTL regions.One significantly enriched pathway was identified onLG45,which had a P-value of 0.04 and corresponded to the 'regulation of actin cytoskeleton pathway'.The results are expected to be useful in marker-assisted selection(MAS) and provide valuable information for the study of gene pathway for morphometric and growth traits of the common carp. | Xianhu Zheng Youyi Kuang Weihua Lv Dingchen Cao Zhipeng Sun Wu Jin Xiaowen Sun | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,3: | 1 |
| 3 | Amylose Content,Morphology,Crystal Structure,and Thermal Properties of Starch Grains in Main and Ratoon Rice Crops显示文摘Rice ratooning,or the production of a second rice crop from stubble after the harvest of the main crop,is considered to be a green and resource-efficient rice production system.The present study was conducted to examine variance in amylose content(AC),grain morphology,crystal structure,and thermal properties of starch between main-and ratoon-season rice of seven varieties.Ratoon-season rice grains had higher ACs and significantly lower transition gelatinization temperatures(To,Tp,and Tc)than did main-season rice grains.The relative crystallinity and lamellar peak intensity of ratoon-season rice starch were 7.89%and 20.38%lower,respectively,than those of main-season rice starch.In addition,smaller granules with smoother surfaces and lower thermal parameters were observed in the starch of ratoon-season rice.The relative crystallinity and lamellar peak intensity of starch correlated negatively with the AC and positively with transition gelatinization temperatures.These results suggest that the superior cooking quality of ratoon-season rice is attributable to the moderate increase of grain AC,which reduces the relative crystallinity,weakens the crystal structure,and lead to a decrease in the gelatinization temperature. | Na Kuang Huabin Zheng Qiyuan Tang Yuanwei Chen Xiaomin Wang Youyi Luo | 2021 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,4: | 1 |
| 4 | Correlation Analysis between the Microsatellite DNA Markers and the Characters of Hucho taimen显示文摘A total of 22 microsatellite DNA markers were selected to analyze the genomic DNA of 176 wild population progenies from 4 families. The normal distribution of seven characters( body length,fork length,head length,snout length,mouth length,mouth width and eye diameter) was analyzed using SPSS software.And the results indicated that all the characters had a characteristic of continuous variation which belonged to the typical quantitative characters or polygenic inheritance characters,and fitted the normal distribution. Meanwhile,GLM procedure was used to analyze the correlation between the 22 microsatellites and 7 characters;and multiple comparisons of the markers significantly correlative to these characters were carried out based on the genotypes. Results showed in that among the 22 microsatellite loci,there were 10 markers significantly correlative to at least one character. The maximum number of markers related to mouth length and eye diameter was 7. Results of multiple comparisons showed that there were significant differences of genotypes from the same character in every marker.
