1Neomycin biosynthesis is regulated positively by AfsA-g and NeoR in Streptomyces fradiae CGMCC 4.7387显示文摘Neomycins are a group of aminoglycoside antibiotics with both clinical and agricultural applications.To elucidate the regulatory mechanism of neomycin biosynthesis,we completed draft genome sequencing of a neomycin producer Streptomyces fradiae CGMCC 4.7387 from marine sediments,and the neomycin biosynthesis gene cluster was identified.Inactivation of the afsA-g gene encoding a γ-butyrolactone(GBL) synthase in S.fradiae CGMCC 4.7387 resulted in a significant decrease of neomycin production.Quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcriptional level of neoR and the aphA-neoGH operon were reduced in the afsA-g::aac(3)Ⅳ mutant.Interestingly,a conserved binding site of AdpA,a key activator in the GBL regulatory cascade,was discovered upstream of neoR,a putative regulatory gene encoding a protein with an ATPase domain and a tetratricopeptide repeat domain.When neoR was inactivated,the neomycin production was reduced about 40%in comparison with the WT strain.Quantitative RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcriptional levels of genes in the aphA-neoGH operon were reduced clearly in the neoR::aac(3)Ⅳ mutant.Finally,the titers of neomycin were improved considerably by overexpression of qfsA-gand neoR in S.fradiae CGMCC 4.7387.Xiangxi Meng Wenzhao Wang Zhoujie Xie Pengwei Li Yue Li Zhengyan Guo Yingjian Lu Jie Yang Kaile Guan Zhaoxin Lu Huarong Tan Yihua Chen 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,9:7
2Joint Trajectory and Passive Beamforming Optimization in IRS-UAV Enhanced Anti-Jamming Communication Networks显示文摘This paper investigates the anti-jamming communication scenario where an intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)is mounted on the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)to resist the malicious jamming attacks.Different from existing works,we consider the dynamic deployment of IRS-UAV in the environment of the mobile user and unknown jammer.Therefore,a joint trajectory and passive beamforming optimization approach is proposed in the IRS-UAV enhanced networks.In detail,the optimization problem is firstly formulated into a Markov decision process(MDP).Then,a dueling double deep Q networks multi-step learning algorithm is proposed to tackle the complex and coupling decision-making problem.Finally,simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly improve the anti-jamming communication performance of the mobile user.Zhifeng Hou Jin Chen Yuzhen Huang Yijie Luo Ximing Wang Jiangchun Gu Yifan Xu Kailing Yao 2022China Communications2022,19,5:4
3Adhesive anastomosis for organ transplantation显示文摘The recent development of tough tissue adhesives has stimulated intense interests among material scientists and medical doctors.However,these adhesives have seldom been tested in clinically demanding surgeries.Here we demonstrate adhesive anastomosis in organ transplantation.Anastomosis is commonly conducted by dense sutures and takes a long time,during which all the vessels are occluded.Prolonged occlusion may damage organs and even cause death.We formulate a tough,biocompatible,bioabsorbable adhesive that can sustain tissue tension and pressurized flow.We expose the endothelial surface of vessels onto a gasket,press two endothelial surfaces to the adhesive using a pair of magnetic rings,and reopen the bloodstream immediately.The time for adhesive anastomosis is shortened compared to the time for sutured anastomosis.We have achieved adhesive anastomosis of a great vein in transplanting the liver of a pig.After the surgery,the adhesive is absorbed,the vein heals,and the pig lives for over one month.Kang Liu Hang Yang Gaobo Huang Aihua Shi Qiang Lu Shanpei Wang Wei Qiao Haohua Wang Mengyun Ke Hongfan Ding Tao Li Yanchao Zhang Jiawei Yu Bingyi Ren Rongfeng Wang Kailing Wang Hui Feng Zhigang Suo Jingda Tang Yi Lv 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,7:3

7Phase-Field Simulation of δ Hydride Precipitation with Interfacial Anisotropy显示文摘Previous studies ofδhydride in zirconium alloys have mainly assumed an isotropic interface.In practice,the difference in crystal structure at the interface between the matrix phase and the precipitate phase results in an anisotropic interface.With the purpose of probing the real evolution ofδhydrides,this paper couples an anisotropy function in the interfacial energy and interfacial mobility.The influence of anisotropic interfacial energy and interfacial mobility on the morphology ofδhydride precipitation was investigated using the phase-field method.The results show that the isotropy hydride precipitates a slate-like morphology,and the anisotropicδhydride precipitates at the semi-coherent and non-coherent interfaces exhibited parallelogram-like and needle-like,which is consistent with the actual experimental morphology.Compared with the coherent interface,the semi-coherent or non-coherent interface adjusts the lattice mismatch,resulting in lower gradient energy that is more consistent with the true interfacial state.Simultaneously,an important chain of relationships is proposed,in the range of I_(x)1.5I_(x)),with the increase of the anisotropic mobility I_(y) in the y-axis,the gradient energy increases(decreases),the tendency of the non-coherent(semi-coherent)relationship at the interface,and the precipitation rate of hydride decreases(increases).Furthermore,the inhomogeneous stress distribution around the hydride leads to a localized enrichment of the hydrogen concentration,producing a hydride tip.The study of interfacial anisotropy is informative for future studies ofδhydride precipitation orientation and properties.Hailong Nie Xincheng Shi Wenkui Yang Kaile Wang Yuhong Zhao 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,77,11:0

9Fabrication of SA/Gel/C scaffold with 3D bioprinting to generate micro-nano porosity structure for skin wound healing: a detailed animal in vivo study显示文摘Bioprinting has exhibited remarkable promises for the fabrication of functional skin substitutes.However,there are some significant challenges for the treatment of full-thickness skin defects in clinical practice.It is necessary to determine bioinks with suitable mechanical properties and desirable biocompatibilities.Additionally,the key for printing skin is to design the skin structure optimally,enabling the function of the skin.In this study,the full-thickness skin scaffolds were prepared with a gradient pore structure constructing the dense layer,epidermis,and dermis by different ratios of bioinks.We hypothesized that the dense layer protects the wound surface and maintains a moist environment on the wound surface.By developing a suitable hydrogel bioink formulation(sodium alginate/gelatin/collagen),to simulate the physiological structure of the skin via 3D printing,the proportion of hydrogels was optimized corresponding to each layer.These results reveal that the scaffold has interconnected macroscopic channels,and sodium alginate/gelatin/collagen scaffolds accelerated wound healing,reduced skin wound contraction,and re-epithelialization in vivo.It is expected to provide a rapid and economical production method of skin scaffolds for future clinical applications.Changmei Niu Liyang Wang Dongdong Ji Mingjun Ren Dongxu Ke Qiang Fu Kaile Zhang Xi Yang 2022Cell Regeneration2022,11,1:0
10Security in Edge Blockchains:Attacks and Countermeasures显示文摘Edge blockchains,the blockchains running on edge computing infrastructures,have attracted a lot of attention in recent years.Thanks to data privacy,scalable computing resources,and distributed topology nature of edge computing,edge blockchains are considered promising solutions to facilitating future blockchain applications.However,edge blockchains face unique security issues caused by the de⁃ployment of vulnerable edge devices and networks,including supply chain attacks and insecure consensus offloading,which are mostly not well studied in previous literature.This paper is the first survey that discusses the attacks and countermeasures of edge blockchains.We first summarize the three-layer architecture of edge blockchains:blockchain management,blockchain consensus,and blockchain lightweight cli⁃ent.We then describe seven specific attacks on edge blockchain components and discuss the countermeasures.At last,we provide future re⁃search directions on securing edge blockchains.This survey will act as a guideline for researchers and developers to design and implement se⁃cure edge blockchains.CAO Yinfeng CAO Jiannong WANG Yuqin WANG Kaile LIU Xun 2022ZTE Communications2022,20,4:0
11Double‑Layer Nanofibrous Sponge Tube via Electrospun Fiber and Yarn for Promoting Urethral Regeneration显示文摘Insufficient bionic performance is a structural obstacle and makes urethral repair unobtainable.To overcome this challenge,we mimicked the urethral matrix and applied two electrospinning techniques to build a double-layer sponge tube of nanofib-ers and nanoyarns.Intriguingly,silk fibroin(SF)and vitamin B5(VitB5)could be introduced to increase the elasticity of the outer layer and reduce the hydrophobicity to further improve mesenchymal cell proliferation.Systematic experiments validated the bionic structure,biocompatibility,and exosome delivery capacity in this scaffold.We achieved scarless urethral repair by delivering the bioactive growth factors from adipose-derived stem cell exosomes by physical absorption.Biological regeneration of the urethra can be accomplished with continuous epithelium in animals.Furthermore,bioinformatics studies revealed that the expression of cell proliferation and fibrotic genes(e.g.,Wnt7a,cfa-miR-574)was responsible for the bio-logical regeneration of the adipose-derived stem cells exosomes(ADSC-exos)by delivering poly l-lactide-co-caprolactone/SF/VitB5 bilayer sponge(PSVBS)via reduced fibrosis gene expression,as well as improved epithelial formation and blood vessel formation.Therefore,the PSVBS design appeared to be an instructive approach for urethral and other tubular organ regeneration.Kaile Zhang Muhammad Aqeel Bhutto Liyang Wang Kai Wang Jie Liu Wenyao Li Wenguo Cui Qiang Fu 2023Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,2:0
12Pyridine terminated polyurethane dendrimer/chlorinated butyl rubber nanocomposites with excellent mechanical and damping properties显示文摘Due to the special viscoelastic property, traditional rubber with high performance has been widely used in human life and production. However, it is challenging to improve the damping property without sacrificing the extensibility. In this work, a novel type of second-generation polyurethane dendrimer terminated with pyridine(G2-Py) was synthesized by using thiolactone chemistry and subsequently complexed with Zn ions. The structure and morphology of G2-Py were characterized. G2-Py-Zn2+was then mixed with chlorinated butyl rubber(CIIR) by a two-roll mill. A series of CIIR/G2-Py-Zn2+elastomers were obtained through vulcanization. CIIR/G2-Py-Zn2+elastomers could achieve high stretchability(a strain of ~1035%), high mechanical strength(a tensile stress of 7.64 MPa). This was benefitted from the friction between G2-Py and CIIR as well as variety of non-covalent bonds provided by G2-Py-Zn2+,which can dissipate energy to further improve the strength and extensibility. The coordination of Zn2+-pyridine was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, stress relaxation and cycle tensile test. To further investigate the morphology and damping properties of the elastomers, scanning electron microscopy and dynamic mechanical analysis were performed. CIIR-5 showed the best damping performance with higher tan δ_(max) and wider effective damping temperatures. 13Study of imaging unknown objects by cosmic-ray muons显示文摘Introduction Cosmic-ray muon imaging is a kind of nondestructive detection technology which can be used to detect unknown objects in geological exploration,civil engineering and nuclear safety.Transmission imaging and scattering tomography schemes are studied.Method The transmission scheme uses a multilayer detector to measure the direction of a cosmic-ray muon passing through an object.The scattering scheme involves placing two detectors upstream and downstream of the object to record the incident and exit directions of the muon passing through the object.The effect of the detector resolution on the imaging clarity of transmission imaging was studied.The applicable scenarios of the two schemes were analyzed.Results The results by calculating show that in the transmission imaging of a hundred-meter object,a spatial resolution of 2.5 m can be achieved,and Cu and Fe can be discriminated with a density difference of 1.1 g/cm3.Scattering tomography is mainly suitable for meter-level objects,which can detect 0.2 m chamber and distinguish 0.05 m heavy metal blocks in rock.Mengzhao Li Yuekun Heng Yifang Wang Kaile Wen Zhiyan Cai Xiaoyu Yang Zhi Wu 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,2:0

155-8 Study of Non-ionizing Energy Loss in Silicon Detectors显示文摘Many studies have demonstrated that the degradation of silicon detector properties in a radiation field is linearlycorrelated to the displacement damage energy[1] induced by the non-ionizing energy loss (NIEL). It has been pointedoutthat NIEL can be incorporated into Monte Carlo transport codes to estimate the displacement damage effects[2].Fig. 1 shows the results of a SRIM simulation for 10 MeV protons injected on a double-sided silicon micro-stripdetector. It can be clearly seen that more than 95% of the energy loss can be ascribed to ionizing energy loss, whichprovides energy to excite or ionize extra nuclear electrons to generate electron-hole pairs when incident particlestraverse the detector and collide with lattice atoms. 165-9 Application of Strati ed Implantation for Silicon Micro-strip Detectors显示文摘The silicon micro-strip detector was fabricated by MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) techniques[1].According to the application requirement and the process parameters, a large amount of B+ ions at 40 keV and1.51014 ions/cm2 have been implanted into the wafers. It is found that more than 50% of the micro strips cannotform a functional P-N junction. Based on the suggestion of simulation results, the process of stratified implantationwas then applied with the following procedures. B+ ions were firstly implanted into the wafer at 40 keV, 21014ions/cm2, and then sequentially implanted at 20 keV, 21014 ions/cm2 into the same wafers. Preliminary testresults show that over 95% of the silicon micro-strips in this batch have a perfect P-N junction with a reverse bodyresistance larger than 500 MΩcm. The energy resolution for 5.156 MeV particles of 239Pu source is about 0.8%or even less, as shown in Fig. 1. 17Synthetical Evaluation on the Qualitative and Quantitative Resistance of Rice Germplasms to Magnaporthe oryzae显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to screen out rice resources resistant to rice blast(Magnaporthe oryzae).[Methods]The qualitative and quantitative resistance of 1659 rice resources from 45 countries and regions to rice blast were evaluated by disease nursery in upland condition and the test of the spectrum to rice blast isolates.[Results]There were 292 entries which accounted for 17.6%showed high blast resistance(0 and 1 disease scale),68 entries(counted for 4.1%)showed resistance to blast(3 disease scale);and the number of the entries showed intermediate resistance,intermediate susceptible and susceptible were 208(with the corresponding percentage of 12.5%),471(28.4%),620(37.4%)respectively.Among the tested entries,27 entries including BG1222,BL122,BTX,IR37704-131-2-3-2,and LEBONNET had showed broad-spectrum blast resistance with the resistance frequency of higher than 90%,Quantitative resistance evaluation was conducted on some key resources,and 14 entries,of which are BR27,DRAGO,IR100,QINLIUAI、SERIBU GANTANG,YUEXIANGZHAN and so on,showed good quantitative resistances,and 8 entries had higher quantitative resistances than IR36.[Conclusions]This study provides important blast resistance resources for the local rice breeding program and has a significant value for the discovery of new blast resistance genes and its application in the blast resistance breeding.Jinqi FENG Kailing CHEN Aiqing FENG Jianyuan YANG Wenjuan WANG Xiaoyuan ZHU Jing SU 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,3:0
18Coalescence of Al_(0.3)CoCrFeNi polycrystalline high-entropy alloy in hot-pressed sintering: a molecular dynamics and phase- field study显示文摘Existing hot sintering models based on molecular dynamics focus on single-crystal alloys.This work proposes a new multiparticle model based on molecular dynamics to investigate coalescence kinetics during the hot-pressed sintering of a polycrystalline Al_(0.3)CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy.The accuracy and effectiveness of the multiparticle model are verified by a phase-field model.Using this model,it is found that when the particle contact zones undergo pressure-induced evolution into exponential power creep zones,the occurrences of phenomena,such as necking,pore formation/filling,dislocation accumulation/decomposition,and particle rotation/rearrangement are accelerated.Based on tensile test results,Young’s modulus of the as-sintered Al_(0.3)CoCrFeNi high-entropy alloy is calculated to be 214.11±1.03 GPa,which deviates only 0.82%from the experimental value,thus further validating the feasibility and accuracy of the multiparticle model.Qingwei Guo Hua Hou Kaile Wang Muxi Li Peter K.Liaw Yuhong Zhao 2023npj Computational Materials2023,,1:0
