12Application for developing countries:Estimating trip attraction in urban zones based on centrality显示文摘This paper introduced a network centrality-based method to estimate the volume of trip attraction in traffic analysis zones. Usually trip attraction volumes are estimated based on land use characteristics. However, executing of land use-based trip attraction models are severely constrained by the lack of updated land use data in developing countries. The proposed method used network centrality-based explanatory variables as 'connectivity','local integration' and 'global integration', Space syntax tools were used to compute the centrality of road segments. GIS-based kernel density estimation method was used to transform computed road segment-based centrality values into traffic analysis zone. Trip attraction values exhibited significant high correlation with connectivity, global and local integration values. The study developed and validated model to estimate trip attraction by using connectivity, local integration and global integration values as endogenous variables with an accepted level of accuracy(R^2 > 0.75). The proposed approach required minimal data, and it was easily executed using a geographic information system. 13Macroscopic Fundamental Diagrams According to the Different Flood Depths on Probe Vehicle Data in Urban Bangkok显示文摘Impact of flood depth on traffic volume in two different zones of the Bangkok road network was investigated using traffic data obtained from probe vehicle trajectories.A Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram(MFD)was utilized to compare traffic flow rates across two road network zones in the city for a variety of flood depths,namely 0-5 cm,5-10 cm,10-15 cm,15-30 cm,and more than 30 cm.Results of empirical analysis over an observation period of one year as 2019 showed that flood depths had a strong correlation with the MFD parameters of free-flow speed,maximum flow,and traffic jam density.In particular,road floods greatly reduced average maximum flow across the inner city road network in Bangkok.Road floods had a significant impact on traffic characteristics of urban road networks.Piyapong Suwanno Prasan Jitpat Rattanaporn Kasemsri Bethala Aditya Atsushi Fukuda 2020Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering2020,8,1:0
