1Deep learning in optical metrology:a review显示文摘With the advances in scientific foundations and technological implementations,optical metrology has become versatile problem-solving backbones in manufacturing,fundamental research,and engineering applications,such as quality control,nondestructive testing,experimental mechanics,and biomedicine.In recent years,deep learning,a subfield of machine learning,is emerging as a powerful tool to address problems by learning from data,largely driven by the availability of massive datasets,enhanced computational power,fast data storage,and novel training algorithms for the deep neural network.It is currently promoting increased interests and gaining extensive attention for its utilization in the field of optical metrology.Unlike the traditional,,physics-basedH approach,deep-learning-enabled optical metrology is a kind of,/data-drivenw approach,which has already provided numerous alternative solutions to many challenging problems in this field with better performances.In this review,we present an overview of the current status and the latest progress of deep-learning technologies in the field of optical metrology.We first briefly introduce both traditional image-processing algorithms in optical metrology and the basic concepts of deep learning,followed by a comprehensive review of its applications in various optical metrology tasks,such as fringe denoising,phase retrieval,phase unwrapping,subset correlation,and error compensation.The open challenges faced by the current deep-learning approach in optical metrology are then discussed.Finally,the directions for future research are outlined.Chao Zuo Jiaming Qian Shijie Feng Wei Yin Yixuan Li Pengfei Fan Jing Han Kemao Qian Qian Chen 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,4:7
2Online schedule for autonomy of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles显示文摘An online rectangle based scheduling algorithm(RSA) is developed to improve autonomy of multiple unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) to search a field of forest together. The purposes of RSA are to online decide the number of the UAVs to be assigned and to schedule the path for the assigned UAVs to search the missed areas resulted from the previous search. The main ideas of RSA are to cover each separated zone of the missed areas with a rectangle and then to schedule the path to search the rectangles. Thus, RSA is robust against the unknown shapes and sizes of the missed areas. The forest search is applied to verify the online RSA in simulation. 3Kinematics analysis of a novel all-attitude flight simulator显示文摘To overcome the kinematic singularity limitation of simulator, which is unavoidable in a three-axis architecture, an all-attitude flight simulator in a four-axis architecture is proposed. The simulator can always provide 3DOF motion by applying redundant manipulator mechanism. For direct kinematics of the manipulator, a dual-Euler method is adopted to solve the expressions of attitude angles; thus computation singularity of all- attitude angles is overcome. For inverse kinematics of the manipulator, pseudo-inverse gradient projection method is used to obtain optimal velocity solution. Then, based on dynamic control method, optimal position solution is obtained. The proposed inverse kinematics algorithm can achieve desired attitudes, as well as can avoid kinematics singularity and axis angle limits. 4Research on semi-active control method of a building structure based on non-smooth control显示文摘This study investigates the effectiveness of the non-smooth semi-active control algorithm on suppressing the vibration performance of a building structure subjected to seismic waves. According to the Lyapunov stability theory, it has bene proven that the non-smooth semi-active control algorithm can achieve a finite-time stability of the vibration relative to the isolation layer of a building structure. Through numerical simulation of two buildings with different parameters subjected to the input of a seismic wave, the vibration conditions of passive control, LQR semi-active control and non-smooth semiactive control are compared and analyzed. 5Online volume rendering of incrementally accumulated LSCEM images for superficial oral cancer detection显示文摘Laser scanning confocal endomicroscope(LSCEM)has emerged as an imaging modality which provides noninvasive,in vivo imaging of biological tissue on a microscopic scale.Scientific visualizations for LSCEM datasets captured by current imaging systems require these datasets to be fully acquired and brought to a separate rendering machine.To extend the features and capabilities of this modality,we propose a system which is capable of performing realtime visualization of LSCEM datasets.Using field-programmable gate arrays,our system performs three tasks in parallel:(1)automated control of dataset acquisition;(2)imaging-rendering system synchronization;and(3)realtime volume rendering of dynamic datasets.Through fusion of LSCEM imaging and volume rendering processes,acquired datasets can be visualized in realtime to provide an immediate perception of the image quality and biological conditions of the subject,further assisting in realtime cancer diagnosis.Subsequently,the imaging procedure can be improved for more accurate diagnosis and reduce the need for repeating the process due to unsatisfactory datasets.Wei Ming Chiew Feng Lin Kemao Qian Hock Soon Seah 2011World Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,2,4:2

9A MATLAB toolkit for composite nonlinear feedback control–improving transient response in tracking control显示文摘We present in this article a MATLAB toolkit with a user-friendly graphical interface for composite nonlinear feedback control system design.The toolkit can be utilized to design a fast and smooth tracking controller for a class of linear systems and nonlinear systems with actuator and other nonlinearities as well as with external disturbances.The parameters of the controller can be tuned easily on the user panel or autotuned by the toolkit.The toolkit is capable of displaying both time-domain and frequency-domain responses on its main panel and generating three different types of control laws,namely,the state feedback,the full-order measurement feedback and the reduced-order measurement feedback controllers.The usage and design procedure of the toolkit are illustrated by practical examples on a rotational/translational actuator (RTAC) system and a hard disk drive servo system.The toolkit can be utilized to design servo systems that deal with point-and-shoot fast targeting.Guoyang CHENG Ben M. 11Mixed H_2/H_∞ filtering for a class of high-speed sampling uncertain systems显示文摘The problem of mixed H_2/H_∞ filtering for polytopic Delta operator systems is investigated. The aim is to design a linear asymptotically stable filter which guarantees that the filtering error system has different performances in different filtering channels. Based on a parameter-dependent Lyapunov function, a new mixed H_2/H_∞ performance criterion is presented. Upon this performance criterion, a sufficient condition for the full-order mixed H_2/H_∞ filter is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The filter can be obtained from the solution of a convex optimization problem. The proposed filter design procedure is less conservative than the strategy based on the quadratic stability notion.
