2Molecular characterization of effluent organic matter in secondary effluent and reclaimed water:Comparison to natural organic matter in source water显示文摘Municipal wastewater reclamation is becoming of increasing importance in the world to solve the problem of water scarcity. A better understanding of the molecular composition of effluent organic matter(Ef OM) in the treated effluents of municipal wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) is crucial for ensuring the safety of water reuse. In this study, the molecular composition of Ef OM in the secondary effluent of a WWTP in Beijing and the reclaimed water further treated with a coagulation–sedimentation–ozonation process were characterized using a non-target Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS) method and compared to that of natural organic matter(NOM) in the local source water from a reservoir. It was found that the molecular composition of Ef OM in the secondary effluent and reclaimed water was dominated by CHOS formulas, while NOM in the source water was dominated by CHO formulas. The CHO formulas of the three samples had similar origins. Anthropogenic surfactants were responsible for the CHOS formulas in Ef OM of the secondary effluent and were not well removed by the coagulation-sedimentation-ozonation treatment process adopted.Xin Wang Juan Wang Kuixiao Li Haifeng Zhang Min Yang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,1:7

4Formation potentials of typical disinfection byproducts and changes of genotoxicity for chlorinated tertiary effluent pretreated by ozone显示文摘The effects of ozonation on the formation potential of typical disinfection byproducts (DBPs) and the changes of genotoxicity during post chlorination of tertiary effluent from a sewage treatment plant were investigated. Ozonation enhanced the yields of all detected chlorine DBPs except CHCl3. At a chlorine dose of 5 mg/L, the three brominated THMs and five HAAs increased, while chloroform decreased with the increase of ozone dose from 0 to 10 mg/L (ozone dose in consumption base). At a chlorine dose of 10 mg/L, the two mixed bromochloro species THMs and two dominant HAAs (DCAA and TCAA) increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of ozone dose, with the turning point approximately occurring at an ozone dose of 5 mg/L. The genotoxicity detected using umu test, on the other hand, was removed from 7 μg 4-NQO/L to a negligible level by ozonation under an ozone dose of 5 mg/L. Chlorination could further remove the genotoxicity to some extent. 7Feasibility Study on the Treatment of Wastewater Containing High-concentration Hg by Coagulation Sedimentation-Adsorption显示文摘For the wastewater containing high-concentration Hg,the feasibility of high-concentration Hg in wastewater treated by coagulation sedimentation,adsorption and the combined process was studied. Research results showed that if using the single coagulation sedimentation process,when FeSO_4·7H_2O dosage was 1. 39 g / L,and NaOH dosage was 0. 40 g / L,it could meet discharge requirement,but the reagent cost was 13. 1yuan / t,which was high. Because that there was subsequent adsorption process,it was selected 0. 28 g / L of FeSO_4·7H_2O and 0. 36 g / L of NaOH,and the estimated reagent cost was 2. 62 yuan / t. In selection process of adsorption materials,powdered activated carbon,granular activated carbon and diatomite all could effectively adsorb Hg,and the technology was feasible. When using the combined process of coagulation sedimentation + adsorption to treat the wastewater containing high-concentration Hg( 800 μg / L),removal rate could reach 99%,and operation cost was 2. 71 yuan.
