1High-resolution modeling and evaluation of ozone air quality of Osaka using MM5-CMAQ system显示文摘High-resolution modeling approach is increasingly being considered as a necessary step for improving the monitoring and predictions of regional air quality.This is especially true for highly urbanized region with complex terrain and land-use.This study uses Community Multiscale Air Quality(CMAQ) model coupled with MM5 mesoscale model for a comprehensive analysis to assess the suitability of such high-resolution modeling system in predicting ozone air quality in the complex terrains of Osaka,Japan.The 1-km and 3-km grid domains were nested inside a 9-km domain and the domain 2with 1-km grid covered the Osaka region.High-resolution Grid Point Value-Mesoscale Model(GPV-MSM) data were used after suitable validation.The simulated ozone concentrations were validated and evaluated using statistical metrics using performance criteria set for ozone.Daily maxima of ozone were found better simulated by the 1-km grid domain than the coarser 9-km and 3-km domains,with the maximum improvement in the mean absolute gross error about 3 ppbv.In addition,1-km grid results fared better than other grids at most of the observation stations that showed noticeable differences in gross error as well as correlation.These results amply justify the use of the integrated high-resolution MM5-CMAQ modeling system in the highly urbanized region,such as the Osaka region,which has complex terrain and land-use.SHRESTHA Kundan Lal KONDO Akira KAGA Akikazu INOUE Yoshio 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,6:6

4榕属植物提取物止泻作用的研究(英文)显示文摘目的:印度贾尔贡地区森林里的榕属植物多年来被当地人用来治疗腹泻。本研究根据当地人的用药传统选取3类榕属植物的特定部位来研究它们对不同大鼠腹泻模型的治疗及缓解作用。方法:不限性别地选取体质量在180~200 g的Wistar大鼠240只,在每个独立实验中,大鼠分别被分为8组,每组10只。通过蓖麻油诱导大鼠腹泻、大鼠胃肠蠕动测试及前列腺素E2诱导大鼠小肠淤积的3个独立实验来评估孟加拉榕树树皮、聚果榕树叶以及无花果叶的乙醇提取物治疗腹泻的作用。结果:孟加拉榕树树皮、聚果榕树叶和无花果叶的提取物具有显著抑制由蓖麻油诱发的大鼠腹泻及前列腺素诱导的大鼠小肠淤积的作用。当给予大鼠400、600 mg/kg的乙醇提取物时,腹泻显著减少。与标准对照药组对比,服用3种植物乙醇提取物的大鼠表现出显著的剂量依赖性腹泻缓解现象(P<0.01)。与蓖麻油诱导大鼠腹泻实验中的对照组相比,榕属植物的乙醇提取物被证实具有显著的降低粪便排泄量及排泄次数的作用(P<0.01)。所有的植物提取物具有显著减缓木炭餐在大鼠小肠内的推进速度并抑制由前列腺素E2引起的大鼠小肠淤积的作用。结论:印度贾尔贡地区的榕属植物具有止泻作用。这些植物的作用机制主要通过解痉和抗小肠淤积来缓解腹泻,这可能与榕属植物的乙醇提取物内含有鞣酸及类黄酮有关。Vikas V.Patil Shandavi C.Bhangale Prashant J.Chaudhari Kundan P.Chaudhari Rajanikant T.Kakade Vinod M.Thakare Chandrakant G.Bonde Vijay R.Patil 2012中西医结合学报2012,10,3:2

13Chatter stability prediction in high-speed micromilling of Ti6Al4 Vvia finite element based microend mill dynamics显示文摘High-speed micromilling (spindle speeds 100 000r/min) can create complex three-dimensional microfeaturesin difficult-to-machine materials. The micromachined sur-face must be of high quatity, to meet functional require-ments. However, chatter-induced dynamic instabilitydeteriorates the surface quality and can be detrimental totool life. Chatter-free machining can be accomplished byidentifying stable process parameters via stability lobe dia-gram. To generate accurate stability lobe diagram, it isessential to determine the microend mill dynamics. Fre-quency response function is required to determine the tool-tip dynamics obtained by experimental impact analysis.Note that application of impact load at the microend mill tip(typically 100 - 500 μm) is not feasible as it would invari-ably end with tool failure. Consequently, alternative meth-ods need to be developed to identify the microend milldynamics. In the present work, the frequency responsefunction for the microend mill is obtained by finite elementmethod modal analysis. The frequency response functionobtained from modal analysis has been verified from theexperimentally obtained frequency response function. Theexperimental frequency response function was obtained byimpacting the microend mill near the taper portion with animpact hammer and measuring the vibration of the tool-tipwith a laser displacement sensor. The fundamental fre-quency obtained from finite element method modal analysisshows a difference of 6.6% from the experimental funda-mental frequency. Microend mill dynamics obtained fromthe finite element method is used for chatter prediction inhigh-speed micromilling operations. The stability lobe dia-gram predicts the stability boundary accurately at 60 000r/min and 80 000 r/min; however, a slight deviation isobserved at 100 000 r/min.Kundan K. 14Elimination of lymphatic filariasis:Where do we stand so far?显示文摘Lymphatic filariasis(LF),an asymptomatic,acute,and chronic condition in human beings,is the second most common vector-borne disease after malaria.According to the World Health Organization,there are 120 million LF cases detected in 81 tropical and subtropical countries,and one billion people are at risk.Therefore,the Global Program to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis was launched in 2000,with the primary objective of stopping LF transmission among all at-risk groups using mass drug administration(MDA),managing morbidities,and preventing LF-related impairments using a minimum treatment package.Additionally,other programs such as epidemiological assessment including National Filaria Control Program and World Health Organization recommended routine and pre-MDA microfilaremia surveys also implemented to stop the LF transmission.The routine filaria surveys were also carried out in around 2000-4000 individuals/month throughout the year whereas pre-MDA surveys were also conducted every year in approximately 4000 individuals in four fixed and four random sites.Furthermore,the Transmission Assessment Survey was also conducted to check the risk of LF among primary school children.Moreover,potential diagnostic methods,systematic surveillance regimes,the Direct Network Report system,and regular trainings and awareness may be also effective in preventing the recurrence of LF.Hence,this review emphasizes the potential advocacy tools and various strategies as well as procedures for monitoring,which could be impactful in eliminating LF.Aashna Sinha Sudhashekhar Kumar Deen Dayal Vaishali Yadav Atreyi Pramanik Kundan Kumar Chaubey Sanjay Kumar 2023Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2023,16,9:1
