The amount of Cu2+ ions sorbed by permanent-charge soil was morethan that by variable-charge soil and increased with the increase of Cu2+ concentration within a certainrange in the equilibrium solution. The amount of Cu2+ ions desorbed with KCl from permanent-chargesoil was more than that from variable-charge soil, but the amount of Cu2+ ions desorbed with de-ionizedwater from permanent-charge soil was extremely low whereas there was still a certain amount of desorptionfrom variable-charge soil. | 3 | Ice radar investigation at Dome A, East Antarctica:Ice thickness and subglacial topography显示文摘Dome A, located in the central East Antarctic ice sheet (EAIS), is the highest summit of the Antarctic ice sheet. From ice-sheet evolution modeling results, Dome A is likely to preserve over one million years of the Earth's paleo-climatic and -environmental records, and considered an ideal deep ice core drilling site. Ice thickness and subglacial topography are critical factors for ice-sheet models to determine the timescale and location of a deep ice core. During the 21st and 24th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (CHINARE 21, 2004/05; CHINARE 24, 2007/08), ground-based ice radar systems were used to a three-dimensional investigation in the central 30 km×30 km region at Dome A. The successfully obtained high resolution and accuracy data of ice thickness and subglacial topography were then interpolated into the ice thickness distribution and subglacial topography digital elevation model (DEM) with a regular grid resolution of 140.5 m×140.5 m. The results of the ice radar investigation indicate that the average ice thickness in the Dome A central 30 km×30 km region is 2233 m, with a minimal ice thickness of 1618 m and a maximal ice thickness of 3139 m at Kunlun Station. The subglacial topography is relatively sharp, with an elevation range of 949-2445 m. The typical, clear mountain glaciation morphology is likely to reflect the early evolution of the Antarctic ice sheet. Based on the ice thickness distribution and subglacial topography characteristics, the location of Kunlun Station was suggested to carry out the first high-resolution, long time-scale deep ice core drilling. | 4 | Preliminary results of ice radar investigation along the traverse between Zhongshan and Dome A in East Antarctic ice sheet:Ice thickness and subglacial topography显示文摘During the 24th Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE 24,2007/08),a ground-based ice radar was used to survey ice thickness and subglacial topography along the 1170 km traverse between Zhongshan and Dome A in East Antarctic ice sheet(EAIS).Ice-bedrock interface was detected along 82%of the traverse and data was collected at a horizontal resolution of <5.6 m.The data was processed to produce curves of ice thickness distribution and subglacial topography along the traverse.The results indicate that,along the traverse,the average ice thickness is 2037 m,smaller than the average ice thickness in EAIS;the thickest ice is at 730 km,and the thinnest ice(891 m)is at the edge of the ice sheet,but the slightly larger ice thickness(1078 m) in inland appears at 1020 km;the average subglacial topography elevation is 728 m,greatly larger than the average value in EAIS, and the largest elevation reaches up to 2650 m at 1034 km.The lowest terrain is located at 765 km.In further inland of 900?1170 km,the subglacial topography is relatively high due to the existence of the Gamburtsev Subglacial Mountains in the region.Generally,the influence of subglacial topography on ice surface is not significant,except at 900 km where great rise of subglacial topography causes evident uplift of ice surface.Where ice-bedrock interface was detected,the frequent and strong change of ice thickness and subglacial topography in small-scale means large bedrock roughness along the traverse,and is considered as the result of the integrated influence of ice flow,basal environments and geology.The segment where bedrock was not detected has very large ice thickness.The strong ice flow there also makes internal structure more complicated and induces serious attenuation of radar signals. | CUI XiangBin SUN Bo TIAN Gang TANG XueYuan ZHANG XiangPei JIANG YunYun GUO JingXue LI Xin | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,24: | 8 |

| 7 | The role of transcriptional factor D-site-binding protein in circadian CCL2 gene expression in anti-Thy1 nephritis显示文摘Mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis(MsPGN)is an inflammatory disease,but both the nature of disease progression and its regulation remain unclear.In the present study,we monitored the course of anti-Thy1 nephritis from days 1 to 5 and established gene expression profiles at each time point using microarrays to explore the development of inflammation.According to the gene expression profiles,macrophage infiltration(triggered by CCL2 activation)was evident on day 1 and enhanced inflammation over the next few days.We screened for genes with expression levels similar to CCL2 and found that the upregulation of the circadian gene albumin D-site-binding protein(DBP)was involved in CCL2 activation in mesangial cells.More importantly,CCL2 expression showed oscillatory changes similar to DBP,and DBP induced peak CCL2 expression at 16:00 a clock on day 1 in the anti-Thy1 nephritis model.We knocked down DBP through transfection with a small interfering RNA(siRNA)and used RNA sequencing to identify the DBP-regulated TNF-α-CCL2 pathway.We performed chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-Seq)and the dual luciferase assay to show that DBP bound to the TRIM55 promoter,regulating gene expression and in turn controlling the TNF-α-CCL2 pathway.In conclusion,DBP-regulated circadian CCL2 expression by the TRIM55-TNF pathway in injured mesangial cells at an early stage,which promoted macrophage recruitment and in turn triggered infiltration and inflammation in a model of anti-Thy1 nephritis. | Yang Lu Yan Mei Lei Chen Lingling Wu Xu Wang Yingjie Zhang Bo Fu Xizhao Chen Yuansheng Xie Guangyan Cai Xueyuan Bai Qinggang Li Xiangmei Chen | 2019 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,9: | 7 |

The changes of relative intensity of X-ray diffraction patterns were studied both before and after chemically selective dissolution. It was found that lithiophorite was a common Mn oxide in all examined Fe-Mn nodules. Todorokite, however, was a predominant Mn oxide in Fe-Mn nodules in caf-aquic Vertisols of Linyi, Shandong Province. The Fe-Mn nodules of arp-udic Luvisols in Wuhan and Zaoyang, Hubei Province, contained birnessite and vernadite. | 11 | Structure of the internal isochronous layers at Dome A,East Antarctica显示文摘Dome A (Kunlun Station) is considered a likely place for finding an ice core record reaching back to one million years. The internal isochronous layering of the Antarctic Ice Sheet, revealed by ice radar, is a prerequisite for selecting sites for deep ice core drilling that can be used for studying the paleoclimatic record. In 2004/2005, during the 21st Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (CHINARE 21), a 200-km long, continuous radar profile was obtained across Dome A. The internal layers along the profile were derived from the stratigraphy detected by the radar. The morphology of the isochronous layers shows that: (1) The internal layers in the shallow ice sheet (0-500 m) are generally flat, with no more than 50 m of layer intervals, and have typical synclines and anticlines in some localized regions. (2) At 500-2000 m below the surface of the ice sheet, the layers appear as 'bright layers', and the width of the layer intervals expands to 50-100 m. (3) When the basal topographic wavelengths are approximate to the thickness of the ice (3 km), the traced internal layers, with localized bumps or concave folds, are asymptotic parallel to the subglacial topography. For the longer topographic wavelengths (~20 km) wider than the thickness of the ice, the layers do not rise and fall with the basal topography. The internal layers surrounding some mountain peaks representing the most extreme variation in the terrain are sharply disturbed by the subglacial topography. (4) Layer discontinuity and fracture were detected in the basal ice sheet. The research on micro-control factors of low productivity in the Qiongzhusi Formation(Fm.) is still controversial. The lower Cambrian Qiongzhusi Fm. in the Qujing, Yunnan was taken as the object to investigate the influence of mineral compositions on the physical properties of the reservoir and the heterogeneity of shale, using the algorithm to improve the characterization ability of Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM). The results showed that:(1) The pores are mainly wedge-shaped pores and V-shaped pores. The pore diameter of the main pore segment ranges from 5 to 10 nm. Mesopores are mainly developed in the Qiongzhusi Fm. shale in Well QD1, with the average pore diameter of 6.08 nm.(2) Microscopic pore structure and shale surface properties show strong heterogeneity, which complicates the micro-migration of shale gas and increases the difficulty of identifying high-quality reservoirs.(3) The increase of clay mineral content intensifies the compaction and then destroys the pores. Conversely, brittle minerals can protect pores. | 13 | Pore Structure Heterogeneity of the Xiamaling Formation Shale Gas Reservoir in the Yanshan Area of China: Evaluation of Geological Controlling Factors显示文摘Micro-heterogeneity is an integral parameter of the pore structure of shale gas reservoir and it forms an essential basis for setting and adjusting development parameters.In this study,scanning electron microscopy,high-pressure mercury intrusion and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiments were used to qualitatively and quantitatively characterize the pore structure of black shale from the third member of the Xiamaling Formation in the Yanshan area.The pore heterogeneity was studied using fractal theory,and the controlling factors of pore development and heterogeneity were evaluated in combination with geochemical parameters,mineral composition,and geological evolution history.The results show that the pore structure of the reservoir was intricate and complicated.Moreover,various types of micro-nano scale pores such as dissolution pores,intergranular pores,interlayer pores,and micro-cracks are well developed in member 3 of the Xiamaling Formation.The average porosity was found to be 6.30%,and the mean value of the average pore size was 4.78 nm.Micropores and transition pores provided most of the storage space.Pore development was significantly affected by the region and was mainly related to the total organic carbon content,vitrinite reflectance and mineral composition.The fractal dimension,which characterizes the heterogeneity,is 2.66 on average,indicating that the pore structure is highly heterogeneous.Fractal dimension is positively correlated with maturity and clay mineral content,while it is negatively correlated with brittle mineral content and average pore size.These results indicate that pore heterogeneity is closely related to thermal history and material composition.Combined with the geological background of this area,it was found that the pore heterogeneity was mainly controlled by the Jurassic magmatism.The more intense the magma intrusion,the stronger the pore heterogeneity.The pore structure and its heterogeneity characteristics present today are a general reflection of the superimposed geological processes of sedimentary-diagenetic-late transformation.The influence of magmatic intrusion on the reservoir is the main geological factor that should be considered for detailed evaluation of the Xiamaling Formation shale gas reservoir in the Yanshan area. | LI Xueyuan CHEN Shangbin WANG Xiaoqi ZHU Yanming CHANG Minghua Clementine UWAMAHORO | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 5 |
| 14 | Dome Argus: Ideal site for deep ice drilling显示文摘Located on the centre of ice drainage range, the highest Dome Argus (Dome A) of East Antarctic Ice Sheet (EAIS), could be represented as an ideal site for deep ice cores drilling containing oldest paleo-climate records. To select a suitable drilling site for deep ice core, it needs gather all information pertaining to the local meteorology, ice sheet landforms, ice thickness, subglacial topography of bed rocks, ice velocity, internal structures of ice sheet, etc. Based on the International Partnerships in Ice Core Sciences (IPICS), we present recent achievement of glaciological research and its perspective at Dome A in this paper. We system-atically discussed the merits and possible ventures of potential drilling sites around Dome A. Among all the candidates, we find that the Chinese Antarctic Kunlun Station is the best site for carrying out the first deep ice core drilling campaign. | 17 | Nonlinear health evaluation for lithium-ion battery within full-lifespan显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs), as the first choice for green batteries, have been widely used in energy storage, electric vehicles, 3C devices, and other related fields, and will have greater application prospects in the future. However, one of the obstacles hindering the future development of battery technology is how to accurately evaluate and monitor battery health, which affects the entire lifespan of battery use. It is not enough to assess battery health comprehensively through the state of health(SoH) alone, especially when nonlinear aging occurs in onboard applications. Here, for the first time, we propose a brand-new health evaluation indicator—state of nonlinear aging(SoNA) to explain the nonlinear aging phenomenon that occurs during the battery use, and also design a knee-point identification method and two SoNA quantitative methods. We apply our health evaluation indicator to build a complete LIB full-lifespan grading evaluation system and a ground-to-cloud service framework, which integrates multi-scenario data collection, multi-dimensional data-based grading evaluation, and cloud management functions. Our works fill the gap in the LIBs’ health evaluation of nonlinear aging, which is of great significance for the health and safety evaluation of LIBs in the field of echelon utilization such as vehicles and energy storage. However, it is a large-scale combinatorial optimization problem with complex constraints and tightly coupled decision variables, which is difficult to deal with.Hence, an effective multi-objective optimization algorithm is proposed based on the multi-island parallel evolution framework(PEA) with a left-right probability migration topology. Multi-island PEA employs multiple evolution populations for solving the problem simultaneously, and the left-right probability migration topology for exchange individuals among populations to improve the efficiency of the cooperation of populations. Then the cooperative co-evolution(CC) algorithm is introduced for each population to further improve the searching capability. | 20 | Antarctic ice sheet GLIMMER model test and its simplified model on 2-dimensional ice flow显示文摘The 3-dimensional finite difference thermodynamic coupled model on Antarctic ice sheet,GLIMMER model,is described. An ide-alized ice sheet numerical test was conducted under the EISMINT-1 benchmark,and the characteristic curves of ice sheets under steady state were obtained. Based on this,this model was simplified from a 3-dimensional one to 2-dimensional one. Improvement of the dif-ference method and coordinate system was proposed. Evolution of the 2-dimensional ice flow was simulated under coupled temperature field conditions. The results showed that the characteristic curves deriving from the conservation of the mass,momentum and energy agree with the results of ice sheet profile simulated with GLIMMER model and with the theoretical results.
