1Effect of gravistimulation on amino acid profile of pea,rice,corn,wheat during early growth stages显示文摘The amino acids are one of the major cellular components of plants,which are involved in different metabolic pathways.In present study,effect of artificial gravistimulation on amino acid profiles of pea,rice,corn,wheat during early growth stages was investigated.One-axis clinostat was used for gravistimulation application,which was applied at embryonic stage.Amino acid profile was measured in 10-days old seedlings of pea,rice,corn and wheat cultivars.The effect of clinostat rotation was also evaluated under salt stress and MS medium supplement.Germinated pea,rice,corn and wheat seedlings were grown under the gravity condition for specific time interval.Corn and wheat seeds showed slowgermination as compared to pea and rice cultivars.The rate of amino acid formation under gravity condition was significantly higher than control(un-treated seedling).The variation in amino acid profile of pea,rice,corn and wheat cultivars vary deferentially.Results revealed that gravistimulation applied through clinostat has positive effect on amino acid profile in plant tissue and future studies should be focused on growth,biochemical,physiological at lateral stages of growth.Raghad S.Mouhamad Munawar Iqbal MAfzal Qamar Lamiaa A.Mutlag Ibrahim B.Razaq Mazhar Abbas Fida Hussain 2016Information Processing in Agriculture2016,3,4:2

9Applicability and efficacy of a model for prevention of perinatal transmission of hepatitis B virus infection:Single center study in Egypt显示文摘AIM:To identify possible maternal risk factors for hepatitis B virus(HBV)acquisition and assess the efficacy of immunoprophylaxis given to infants born to hepatitis B virus surface antigen(HBs Ag)positive mothers.METHODS:Screening of 2000 pregnant females wascarried out using rapid test and confirmed by enzyme immunoassay.A questionnaire consisting of 20 questions about the possible risk factors for acquisition of HBV infection was filled for every pregnant HBs Ag positive female in addition to at least 2 pregnant HBs Ag negative females for each positive case.Infants of HBs Ag positive women were offered passive and active immunoprophylaxis within the 1st 48 h after birth,in addition to 2nd and 3rd doses of HBV vaccine after1 and 6 mo respectively.Infants were tested for HBs Ag and hepatitis B surface antibodies(HBs Ab)at six months of age.RESULTS:HBs Ag was confirmed positive in 1.2%of tested pregnant women.Risk factors significantly associated with HBV positivity were;history of injections(OR=5.65),history of seeking medical advice in a clinic(OR=7.02),history of hospitalization(OR=6.82),history of surgery(OR=4)and family history of hepatitis(OR=3.89)(P<0.05).Dropout rate was 28%for HBs Ag women whose rapid test was not confirmed and could not be reached to provide immunoprophylaxis for thier newborns.Immunoprophylaxis failure was detected in only one newborn(3.7%)who tested positive for HBs Ag at 6 mo of age;and vaccine failure(seronegative to HBs Ab after 4 doses of the vaccine)was detected in another one(3.7%).The success rate of the immunoprophylaxis regimen was 92.6%.CONCLUSION:This pilot study shows that a successful national program for prevention of perinatal transmission of HBV needs to be preceded by an awareness campaign to avoid a high dropout rate.Hanaa M El-Karaksy Lamiaa M Mohsen Doa'a A Saleh Mona S Hamdy Noha A Yassin Mohamed Farouk Mohamed E Salit Mortada H El-Shabrawi 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,45:1
10Cytotoxic activity and phytochemical analysis of Arum palaestinum Boiss.显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the in vitro cytotoxic activity of the fractionated extract as well as isolated compounds of Arum palaestinum Boiss.(A. palaestinum)(black calla lily), and to identify the volatile components which may be responsible for the potential antitumor activity.Methods: A. palaestinum was collected from its natural habitats and subjected to phytochemical analysis for separation of pure compounds. In vitro cytotoxic activity was investigated against four human carcinoma cell lines Hep2, He La, Hep G2 and MCF7 for the fractionated extract and isolated compounds. While, the diethyl ether fraction was subjected to GC–MS analysis as it exhibited the most potent cytotoxic effect to evaluate the active constituents responsible for the cytotoxic activities.Results: Four flavonoid compounds were isolated(luteolin, chrysoeriol, isoorientin,isovitexin) from the diethyl ether and ethyl acetate. The extracts and the pure isolated compounds showed a significant high antiproliferative activity against all investigated cell lines. The GC–MS analysis revealed the separation and identification of 15 compounds representing 95.01% of the extract and belonging to different groups of chemical compounds.Conclusions: The present study is considered to be the first report on the cytotoxic activities carried out on different selected fractions and pure compounds of A. palaestinum to provide evidences for its strong antitumor activities. 11Deep Learning-Based Approach for Arabic Visual Speech Recognition显示文摘Lip-reading technologies are rapidly progressing following the breakthrough of deep learning.It plays a vital role in its many applications,such as:human-machine communication practices or security applications.In this paper,we propose to develop an effective lip-reading recognition model for Arabic visual speech recognition by implementing deep learning algorithms.The Arabic visual datasets that have been collected contains 2400 records of Arabic digits and 960 records of Arabic phrases from 24 native speakers.The primary purpose is to provide a high-performance model in terms of enhancing the preprocessing phase.Firstly,we extract keyframes from our dataset.Secondly,we produce a Concatenated Frame Images(CFIs)that represent the utterance sequence in one single image.Finally,the VGG-19 is employed for visual features extraction in our proposed model.We have examined different keyframes:10,15,and 20 for comparing two types of approaches in the proposed model:(1)the VGG-19 base model and(2)VGG-19 base model with batch normalization.The results show that the second approach achieves greater accuracy:94%for digit recognition,97%for phrase recognition,and 93%for digits and phrases recognition in the test dataset.Therefore,our proposed model is superior to models based on CFIs input.Nadia H.Alsulami Amani T.Jamal Lamiaa A.Elrefaei 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,4:0

13Biosynthesis of raw starch degradingβ-cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase by immobilized cells of Bacillus licheniformis using potato wastewater显示文摘The study was sought to enhance the synthesis of thermal stableβ-cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase(β-CGTase)using potato wastewater as a low-cost medium and assess the degree to which it is efficient for industrial production ofβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)from raw potato starch.Thermophilic bacteria producingβ-CGTase was isolated from Saudi Arabia and the promising strain was identified as Bacillus licheniformis using phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene.Alginate-encapsulated cultures exhibited twice-fold ofβ-CGTase production more than free cells.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)of polymeric capsules indicated the potential for a longer shelf-life,which promotes the restoration of activity in bacterial cells across semi-continuous fermentation ofβ-CGTase production for 252 h.The optimal conditions forβ-CGTase synthesis using potato wastewater medium were at 36 h,pH of 8.0,and 50°C with 0.4%potato starch and 0.6%yeast extract as carbon and nitrogen sources,respectively.The purified enzyme showed a specific activity of 63.90 U/mg with a molecular weight of∼84.6 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.The high enzyme activity was observed up to 60°C,and complete stability was achieved at 75°C.High levels of activity and stability were shown at pH 8.0,and the pH range from 7.0–10.0,respectively.The enzyme has an appreciable affinity for raw potato starch with a Km of 5.7×10−6 M and a Vmax of 87.71μmoL/mL/min.β-CD production was effective against 25 U/g of raw potato starch.The outcomes demonstrated its feasibility to develop a fermentation process by integrating the cost-effective production ofβ-CGTase having distinctive properties forβ-CD production with ecofriendly utilization of potato wastewater.YASSER S.MOSTAFA SAAD A.ALAMRI SULIMAN A.ALRUMMAN TAREK H.TAHA MOHAMED HASHEM MAHMOUD MOUSTAFA LAMIAA I.FAHMY 2021BIOCELL2021,45,6:0
14Phytochemical composition and toxicity assessment of Ammi majus L.显示文摘Objective:To assess the acute and subacute toxicity as well as the phytochemical composition of two extracts and three fractions of Ammi majus L.Methods:The aqueous extracts were prepared separately by maceration for 48 h and by infusion for 1 h,while the fractions were prepared by the Soxhlet extractor,successively employing cyclohexane,ethyl acetate,and ethanol.The acute toxicity study was carried out in accordance with the OECD N°423 guideline at a single dose(2000 mg/kg)in mice for 14 days.The subacute toxicity study was performed by a daily oral administration of 250 mg/kg 2 for 10 d and 100 mg/kg doses for 28 d.Phytochemical screening was performed using staining and precipitation reactions,while the chemical characterization of some analytes was detected by HPLC-MS/MS analysis.Results:In the acute toxicity study,no signs of toxicity such as convulsion,salivation,diarrhea,sleep and coma were observed during 30 minutes and 14 days,so the lethal dose was higher than 2000 mg/kg for each extract and fraction.The subacute toxicity results showed that at a dose of 250 mg/kg,61.10%of the animals died and the rest developed morbidity.On the other hand,at a dose of 100 mg/kg,all the animals were still alive after 28 days,with no morbidity and the biochemical parameters were normal with no abnormalities in the liver,kidneys and pancreas.Phytochemical screening indicated the presence of flavonoids,tannins,coumarins,and free quinones and the absence of alkaloids and anthocyanins.Conclusions:The extracts and fractions of Ammi majus L.are not toxic in the short and long term with a varied chemical composition.Toxicological tests on animals other than rodents and in the long term(more than 28 days)are needed to further confirm the safety of Ammi majus extracts.Otman El-guourrami Najoua Salhi Fatima Zahra Benkhouili Gokhan Zengin Mustafa Abdullah Yilmaz Mouna Ameggouz Ahmed Zahidi Lamiaa Rouas Abdelhakim Bouyahya Khang Wen Goh Toong Hai Sam Long Chiau Ming Anass Doukkali Hanane Benzeid 2023Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2023,13,4:0
15Telehealth utilization among Egyptian population and health institutional readiness:An exploratory study显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to assess the public’s perspectives and the health institutions’readiness for telehealth utilization in Egypt.Methods:A cross-sectional study design was employed,and data were collected from a convenient sample of 800 Egyptian citizens and 26 nursing administrators and information technology personnel from 16 governmental hospitals and 10 private hospitals between January and March 2022.The Egyptian community utilization of telehealth questionnaire and the telemedicine hospital readiness assessment were used to collect the data.Results:The results revealed that 35.1%of the general Egyptian population used telehealth services and 43%expressed willingness to use them in future.As perceived by the general Egyptian population,the most prevalent barriers to telehealth utilization were communication barriers(97.6%),lack of confidence in health professionals(77.6%),technological limitations(72.5%),the need for physical examination(25%),and privacy concerns(10%).Regarding hospital readiness,42%of governmental hospitals were not taking any initiative to implement telehealth services,and 15.4%were at the beginner level,meaning that some steps had been taken.However,the hospital was still far from being able to implement telehealth services.In contrast,private hospitals were either at the beginner or advanced level.Conclusion:Although the use of telehealth services in Egypt has increased,there is a need to address the barriers to public utilization and improve hospitals’readiness to implement telehealth services to enhance public usage.Basma Mohamed OSMAN Maaly Zayed MOHAMED Shaimaa Ali Mohamed ISMAIL Lamiaa Saad Abd ALLAH Marwa Mamdouh SHABAN 2023Journal of Integrative Nursing2023,5,3:0

17Historical Arabic Images Classification and Retrieval Using Siamese Deep Learning Model显示文摘Classifying the visual features in images to retrieve a specific image is a significant problem within the computer vision field especially when dealing with historical faded colored images.Thus,there were lots of efforts trying to automate the classification operation and retrieve similar images accurately.To reach this goal,we developed a VGG19 deep convolutional neural network to extract the visual features from the images automatically.Then,the distances among the extracted features vectors are measured and a similarity score is generated using a Siamese deep neural network.The Siamese model built and trained at first from scratch but,it didn’t generated high evaluation metrices.Thus,we re-built it from VGG19 pre-trained deep learning model to generate higher evaluation metrices.Afterward,three different distance metrics combined with the Sigmoid activation function are experimented looking for the most accurate method formeasuring the similarities among the retrieved images.Reaching that the highest evaluation parameters generated using the Cosine distance metric.Moreover,the Graphics Processing Unit(GPU)utilized to run the code instead of running it on the Central Processing Unit(CPU).This step optimized the execution further since it expedited both the training and the retrieval time efficiently.After extensive experimentation,we reached satisfactory solution recording 0.98 and 0.99 F-score for the classification and for the retrieval,respectively.Manal M.Khayyat Lamiaa A.Elrefaei Mashael M.Khayyat 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:0
18Interobserver reliability of computed tomography angiography in the assessment of ruptured intracranial aneurysm and impact on patient management显示文摘BACKGROUND Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is an emergency that can lead to a high mortality rate and many severe complications.It is critical to make a rapid radiological evaluation of ruptured intracranial aneurysms(RIAs)to determine the appropriate surgical treatment.AIM To assess the reliability of computed tomography angiography(CTA)in assessing different features of ruptured intracranial aneurysm and its impact on patient management.METHODS The final cohort of this study consisted of 146 patients with RIAs(75 male and 71 female)who underwent cerebral CTA.Their age ranged from 25 to 80,and the mean age±SD was 57±8.95 years.Two readers were asked to assess different features related to the aneurysm and perianeurysmal environment.Inter-observer agreement was measured using kappa statistics.Imaging data extracted from non-contrast computed tomography and CTA were considered to categorize the study population into two groups according to the recommended therapeutic approach.RESULTS The inter-observer agreement of both reviewers was excellent for the detection of aneurysms(K=0.95,P=0.001),aneurysm location(K=0.98,P=0.001),and(K=0.98,P=0.001),morphology(K=0.92,P=0.001)and margins(K=0.95,P=0.001).There was an excellent interobserver agreement for the measurement of aneurysm size(K=0.89,P=0.001),neck(K=0.85,P=0.001),and dome-to-neck ratio(K=0.98,P=0.001).There was an excellent inter-observer agreement for the detection of other aneurysm-related features such as thrombosis(K=0.82,P=0.001),calcification(K=1.0,P=0.001),bony landmark(K=0.89,P=0.001)and branch incorporation(K=0.91,P=0.001)as well as perianeurysmal findings including vasospasm(K=0.91,P=0.001),perianeurysmal cyst(K=1.0,P=0.001)and associated vascular lesions(K=0.83,P=0.001).Based on imaging features,87 patients were recommended to have endovascular treatment,while surgery was recommended in 59 patients.71.2%of the study population underwent the recommended therapy.CONCLUSION CTA is a reproducible promising diagnostic imaging modality for detecting and characterizing cerebral aneurysms.Ali H Elmokadem Basma Abdelmonaem Elged Ahmed Abdel Razek Lamiaa Galal El-Serougy Mohamed Ali Kasem Mohamed Ali EL-Adalany 2023World Journal of Radiology2023,15,6:0

20Prediction of the final size for COVID-19 epidemic using machine learning:A case study of Egypt显示文摘COVID-19 is spreading within the sort of an enormous epidemic for the globe.This epidemic infects a lot of individuals in Egypt.The World Health Organization states that COVID-19 could be spread from one person to another at a very fast speed through contact and respiratory spray.On these days,Egypt and all countries worldwide should rise to an effective step to investigate this disease and eliminate the effects of this epidemic.In this paper displayed,the real database of COVID-19 for Egypt has been analysed from February 15,2020,to June 15,2020,and predicted with the number of patients that will be infected with COVID-19,and estimated the epidemic final size.Several regression analysis models have been applied for data analysis of COVID-19 of Egypt.In this study,we’ve been applied seven regression analysis-based models that are exponential polynomial,quadratic,thirddegree,fourth-degree,fifth-degree,sixth-degree,and logit growth respectively for the COVID-19 dataset.Thus,the exponential,fourth-degree,fifth-degree,and sixth-degree polynomial regression models are excellent models specially fourth-degree model that will help the government preparing their procedures for one month.In addition,we have applied the well-known logit growth regression model and we obtained the following epidemiological insights:Firstly,the epidemic peak could possibly reach at 22-June 2020 and final time of epidemic at 8-September 2020.Secondly,the final total size for cases 1.6676Et05 cases.The action from government of interevent over a relatively long interval is necessary to minimize the final epidemic size.Lamiaa A.Amar Ashraf A.Taha Marwa Y.Mohamed 2020Infectious Disease Modelling2020,5,1:0
