3PTEN-L promotes type I interferon responses and antiviral immunity显示文摘Phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten(PTEN)is a well-known tumor suppressor that acts as a dual-specificity phosphatase and is frequently mutated in human cancer.Our previous work has demonstrated that PTEN also plays a vital role in type I interferon responses and antiviral innate immunity.Recently,a translational variant of PTEN with a long N-terminal extension(PTEN-L)has been discovered that is secreted into the extracellular environment and enters recipient cells,where it exerts a phosphatase function antagonistic to PI3K/Akt signaling and tumorigenesis.In this study,we demonstrate that PTEN-L promotes type I interferon responses and antiviral innate immunity during viral infection in a phosphatase activity-dependent manner.Compared with canonical PTEN,PTEN-L also exerts its antiviral function when it is applied exogenously in protein form.This finding was confirmed in cell cultures and mouse infection models.Furthermore,PTEN-L enhances the responses of both type I interferon and proinflammatory cytokines,thus suggesting that PTEN-L might possess additional functions compared with those of PTEN.Thus,the antiviral function of PTEN-L may open an avenue for the use of PTEN-L in antiviral therapy,particularly in patients with PTEN-deficient tumors.Yuanyuan Cao Hongyun Wang Liu Yang Zhen Zhang Chenlin Li Xu Yuan Lang Bu Lang Chen Yu Chen Chun-Mei Li Deyin Guo 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,1:3

5AGE STRUCTURES OF MODULES OF CLONAL PEATLAND SEDGE Carex middendorffii显示文摘Age structure of a plant population carries important information on population dynamics. The traditional age classification of individuals by development phases could not explain the generation relationship neither between individuals nor between modules, and it could not accurately predict the future of population or the tendency of peatland evolution. In a peatland of the Xiao Hinggan Mountains, China, at the middle of the growth season, the age structures of 3 modules, ramets, active buds and rhizomes of a Carex middendorffii clonal population were investigated, with the method of classifying age classes of ramets and active buds by counting generation quantity of tiller nodes, and classifying age classes of rhizomes by their real survival time. The quantity of vegetative ramets was dominant. Tiller nodes of ramets can propagate vegetatively for a maximum of 3 generations. The population of ramets consisted of 3 age classes of ramets at the middle of the growth season, and showed a stable age structure. In the two sampling events, there was no significant difference between quantities and age structure of the population. The maximum age of an excavated rhizome was 12 years old. Rhizomes were classified in 8 age classes, and age classes 4-6 contributed most to the total biomass. There was no significant difference in total length and total biomass per unit area, or in biomass per unit length in rhizomes between the two samplings. Four age classes of active buds were recognized, and their number increased from July to August. The Carex middendorffii clonal population achieved regeneration by budding from the tiller nodes of ramets. The age structures of the 3 modules suggested that the Carex middendorffii clonal population could persist in the early development phase of the oligotrophic peatland in the Xiao Hinggan Mountains, but it could not be dominant. 9Experimental study on thermal and mechanical properties of tailings-based cemented paste backfill with CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O/expanded vermiculite shape stabilized phase change materials显示文摘CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O/expanded vermiculite shape stabilized phase change materials(CEV)was prepared by atmospheric impregnation method.Using gold mine tailings as aggregate of cemented paste backfill(CPB)material,the CPB with CEV added was prepared,and the specific heat capacity,thermal conductivity,and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of CPB with different cement-tailing ratios and CEV addition ratios were tested,the influence of the above variables on the thermal and mechanical properties of CPB was analyzed.The results show that the maximum encapsulation capacity of expanded vermiculite for CaCl_(2)·6H_(2)O is about 60%,and the melting and solidification enthalpies of CEV can reach 98.87 J/g and 97.56 J/g,respectively.For the CPB without CEV,the specific heat capacity,thermal conductivity,and UCS decrease with the decrease of cement-tailing ratio.For the CPB with CEV added,with the increase of CEV addition ratio,the specific heat capacity increases significantly,and the sensible heat storage capacity and latent heat storage capacity can be increased by at least 10.74%and 218.97%respectively after adding 12%CEV.However,the addition of CEV leads to the increase of pores,and the thermal conductivity and UCS both decrease with the increase of CEV addition.When cement-tailing ratio is 1:8 and 6%,9%,and 12%of CEV are added,the 28-days UCS of CPB is less than 1 MPa.Considering the heat storage capacity and cost price of backfill,the recommended proportion scheme of CPB material presents cement-tailing ratio of 1:6 and 12%CEV,and the most recommended heat storage/release temperature cycle range of CPB with added CEV is from 20 to 40℃.This work can provide theoretical basis for the utilization of heat storage backfill in green mines.Xiaoyan Zhang Tianrun Cao Lang Liu Baoyun Bu Yaping Ke Qiangqiang Du 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,2:1

13Recent advances in metal-organic frameworks for oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysts显示文摘The anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)can be combined with various cathodic reactions to enable the electrochemical synthesis of diverse chemicals and fuels,particularly in water electrolysis for hydrogen production.It is however exhibiting a high overpotential due to the sluggish four-electron transfer process,which is considered the decisive reaction in energy conversion systems.In recent years,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have emerged as the ideal catalysts for accelerating OER.This is primarily because of their orderly porous architecture,structural tailorability,and compositional diversity.This review systematically summarizes the recent research progress in pristine MOF electrocatalysts for OER,which covers the construction strategies and electrocatalytic performance of more than eight types of MOFs.Additionally,the partial/complete structural reconstructions and their effects on MOF-based OER electrocatalysts are highlighted.In particular,the development process of“discovery,explanation,and utilization”for the structural reconstructions of MOF electrocatalysts is outlined.Furthermore,the catalytic mechanisms are elaborated in detail,aiming to provide insight into the rational design and performance optimization of MOF-based OER electrocatalysts.The challenges and future perspectives of MOF-based OER electrocatalysts for industrial applications are also discussed.Ming Liu Yin-Qiang Zhang Xuemin Wang Feifan Lang Na Li Xian-He Bu 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,10:0
