6Input database related uncertainty of Biome-BGCMuSo agroenvironmental model outputs显示文摘Gridded model assessments require at least one climatic and one soil database for carrying out the simulations.There are several parallel soil and climate database development projects that provide sufficient,albeit considerably different,observation based input data for crop model based impact studies.The input database related uncertainty of the Biome-BGCMuSo agro-environmental model outputs was investigated using three and four different gridded climatic and soil databases,respectively covering an area of nearly 100.000 km2 with 1104 grid cells.Spatial,temporal,climate and soil database selection related variances were calculated and compared for four model outputs obtained from 30-year-long simulations.The choice of the input database introduced model output variability that was comparable to the variability the year-to-year change of the weather or the spatial heterogeneity of the soil causes.Input database selection could be a decisive factor in carbon sequestration related studies as the soil carbon stock change estimates may either suggest that the simulated ecosystem is a carbon sink or to the contrary a carbon source on the long run.Careful evaluation of the input database quality seems to be an inevitable and highly relevant step towards more realistic plant production and carbon balance simulations.Nándor Fodor LászlóPásztor Brigitta Szabó Annamária Laborczi Klára Pokovai Dóra Hidy Roland Hollós Erzsébet Kristóf Anna Kis Laura Dobor AnikóKern Thomas Grünwald Zoltán Barcza 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,11:0
7A Novel Approach to Measure the Total Antioxidant Power of Wines through Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Its Relevance in Human Nutrition显示文摘Wine is the product of the alcoholic fermentation of the grape (Vitis vinifera). As such, it is a hydroalcoholic solution with a variable content of nutritional and functional (polyphenols) molecules, the latter involved in its antioxidant potential. The organoleptic variables of wine, together with its potential positive effects on health of a light-moderate intake, have always been topics of great interest within the cultures. In the label of wine, alcohol is the only declared variable. On the other hand, there is no information about the content of “positive” molecules, such as those associated with the antioxidant power. This value could be very important to classify the wines, helping oenologist and nutritionist in qualifying them as a component of Mediterranean diet. Moreover, one of the most critical aspects in evaluating the role of wine in human health through epidemiological prospective studies is the quality of the products used and their antioxidant potential. This research aimed to optimize and validate an analytical approach based on a portable device (SCIO?), using NIRS (near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy). It allows the measure of TAP (total antioxidant power) of wine through the glass. Research findings are promising. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that an easy-to-use and cheap hand-held scanner is validated to measure the TAP of a beverage.Raúl Francisco Pastor María Laura Mariani Marianela G.
