2Identification and Characterization of the Populus AREB/ABF Subfamily显示文摘Abscisic acid (ABA) is a major plant hormone that plays an important role in responses to abiotic stresses. The ABA-responsive element binding protein/ABRE-binding factor (AREB/ABF) gene subfamily contains crucial transcription factors in the ABA-mediated signaling pathway. In this study, a total of 14 putative AREB/ABF members were identified in the Populus trichocarpa Torr. & Gray. genome using five AREB/ABF amino acid sequences from Arabidopsis thaliana L. as probes. The 14 putative Populus subfamily members showed high protein similarities, especially in the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain region. A neighbor-joining analysis combined with gene structure data revealed homology among the 14 genes. The expression patterns of the Populus AREB/ABF subfamily suggested that the most abundant transcripts of 11 genes occurred in leaf tissues, while two genes were most transcribed in root tissues. Significantly, eight Populus AREB/ABF gene members were upregulated after treatment with 100 μM exogenous ABA, while the other six members were downregulated. We identified the expression profiles of the subfamily members in Populus tissues and elucidated different response patterns of Populus AREB/ABF members to ABA stress. 3Fabrication and performance evaluation of novel transparent ceramics RE:Tb_(3)Ga_(5)O_(12)(RE=Pr,Tm,Dy)toward magneto-optical application显示文摘Transparent ceramics are at the heart of modern magneto-optical materials providing promising opportunities for Faraday isolators.1.0 at%RE:Tb3Ga5O12(rare earth(RE)=Pr,Tm,Dy)transparent ceramics were successfully prepared by air sintering and sequential HIP technique using the coprecipitated powders as the raw material.All the powders have shown to be a pure cubic terbium gallium garnet(TGG)phase and exhibit good dispersion.Additionally,a change could not be observed in particle shape with the different doped ions.After the two-step sintering,all the obtained ceramics have good optical quality,and the in-line transmittances at 1070 nm are higher than 80%.Moreover,no secondary phase can be detected from the microstructures.However,the pores which remain entrapped in the ceramics can be noted.The Verdet constant of ceramic samples is optimized by RE doping,and the Verdet constant at 632.8 nm is about−143 rad·T^(−1)·m^(−1),which is about 5%higher than that of TGG ceramics.Finally,the thermo-optical properties of 1.0 at%RE:TGG transparent ceramics are compared.The annealed TGG ceramic showed the best thermo-optical properties,and the thermally induced depolarization of 1.0 at%Ce:TGG and 1.0 at%Tm:TGG was inferior to that of annealed TGG ceramic.Xiaoying Li Ilya LSnetkov Aleksey Yakovlev Qiang Liu Xin Liu Ziyu Liu Penghui Chen Danyang Zhu Lexiang Wu Zhaoxiang Yang Tengfei Xie Haohong Chen Oleg Palashov Jiang Li 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,2:3

8Compositional regulation of multi-component GYGAG:Ce scintillation ceramics:Self-sintering-aid effect and afterglow suppression显示文摘(Gd,Y,Ce)_(3)(Y_(x)Ga_(1−x))_(2)GaAl_(2)O_(12)(GYGAG:Ce)scintillation ceramics with different Y excess,where x=0.005−0.08,were fabricated by the solid-state reaction method.The effects of stoichiometry on the phase composition,optical quality,and microstructure of GYGAG:Ce ceramics were analyzed.GYGAG:Ce ceramics have a pure garnet phase and obtain good in-line transmittance when x<0.04,while more Y excess leads to the creation of the secondary phase.The change of x value influences the sintering behavior of the GYGAG:Ce ceramics:The excess of Y works as the self-sintering aid and significantly reduces the sintering temperature of ceramics.When x=0.01–0.04,the X-ray excited luminescence(XEL)spectra and light yields of GYGAG:Ce ceramics are similar.The fast scintillation decay time and afterglow intensity of GYGAG:Ce ceramics show a slight decrease with increasing x value.Finally,additional 50–500 ppm MgO and 100–500 ppm CaO were introduced to the GYGAG:Ce ceramic with x=0.04,and both were found to significantly increase the fast scintillation component and reduce the afterglow intensity by two orders of magnitude to 0.01%after X-ray cut-off.Danyang Zhu Lexiang Wu Alena Beitlerova Romana Kucerkova Weerapong Chewpraditkul Martin Nikl Jiang Li 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,10:0
9Assessment of biochemical concentrations of vegetation using remote sensing technology显示文摘The main biochemicals (such as lignin, protein, cellulose, sugar, starch, chlorophyll and water) of vegetation are directly or indirectly involved in major ecological processes, such as the functions of terrestrial ecosystems (i.e., nutrient-cycling processes, primary production, and decomposition). Remote sensing techniques provide a very convenient way of data acquisition capable of covering a large area several times during one season, so it can play a unique and essential role provided that we can relate remote sensing measurements to the biochemical characteristics of the Earth surface in a reliable and operational way. The application of remote sensing techniques for the estimation of canopy biochemicals was reviewed. Three methods of estimating biochemical concentrations of vegetation were included in this paper: index, stepwise multiple linear regression, and stepwise multiple linear regression based on a model of the forest crown. 10Acetylation of PPARγin macrophages promotes visceral fat degeneration in obesity显示文摘Obesity is characterized by chronic,low-grade inflammation,which is driven by macrophage infiltration of adipose tissue.PPARγ is well established to have an anti-inflammatory function in macrophages,but the mechanism that regulates its function in these cells remains to be fully elucidated.PPARγundergoes post-translational modifications(PTMs),including acetylation,to mediate ligand responses,including on metabolic functions.Here,we report that PPARγacetylation in macrophages promotes their infiltration into adipose tissue,exacerbating metabolic dysregulation.We generated a mouse line that expresses a macrophage-specific,constitutive acetylation-mimetic form of PPARγ(K293Q^(flox/flox):LysM-cre,mK293Q)to dissect the role of PPARγacetylation in macrophages.Upon highfat diet feeding to stimulate macrophage infiltration into adipose tissue,we assessed the overall metabolic profile and tissue-specific phenotype of the mutant mice,including responses to the PPARγagonist Rosiglitazone.Macrophage-specific PPARγK293Q expression promotes proinflammatory macrophage infiltration and fibrosis in epididymal white adipose tissue,but not in subcutaneous or brown adipose tissue,leading to decreased energy expenditure,insulin sensitivity,glucose tolerance,and adipose tissue function.Furthermore,mK293Q mice are resistant to Rosiglitazone-induced improvements in adipose tissue remodeling.Our study reveals that acetylation is a new layer of PPARγregulation in macrophage activation,and highlights the importance and potential therapeutic implications of such PTMs in regulating metabolism.Nicole Aaron Tarik Zahr Ying He Lexiang Yu Brent Mayfield Utpal BPajvani Li Qiang 2022Life Metabolism2022,1,3:0
11Composition and luminescence properties of highly robust green-emitting LuAG:Ce/Al_(2)O_(3)composite phosphor ceramics for high-power solid-state lighting显示文摘The major advantage of laser lighting over white light-emitting-diode is the possibility to achieve ultra-high luminance.However,phosphors usually suffer laser-induced luminescence saturation,which limits the peak luminance of laser lighting devices.The aim of the present study is to develop LuAG:Ce/Al_(2)O_(3)composite ceramics(LACCs)with a high saturation threshold for high-luminance laser lighting.Owning to the rigid crystal structure,proper synthetic process,and optimized thermal design,the LACCs possess small thermal quenching(16%loss in luminescence at 225℃),high quantum yield(>95%),and excellent luminescence properties.When the LACCs are irradiated by blue laser diodes in a reflection mode,a high luminous flux of 4634 lm and luminous efficacy of 283 lm·W^(−1)are realized.Furthermore,they show no sign of luminescence saturation even when the power density reaches 20.5 W·mm^(−2).With these favorable properties,the designed LACCs show great potential in high-luminance laser lighting.Ziqiu Cheng Xin Liu Xinrong Chen Jian Xu Yanbin Wang Tengfei Xie Lexiang Wu Zhengfa Dai Guohong Zhou Jun Zou Jiang Li 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,3:0
12Fabrication and properties of non-stoichiometric Tb_(2)(Hf_(1-x)Tb_(x))_(2)O_(7-x)magneto-optical ceramics显示文摘Non-stoichiometric Tb_(2)(Hf_(1-x)Tb_(x))_(2)O_(7-x)(x=-0.07-0.45)magneto-optical ceramics were fabricated by solid-state reactive sintering in vacuum combined with hot isostatic pressing(HIP)posttreatment without any sintering aids.The phase composition,densification process,microstructure,optical transmittance,and Verdet constant of Tb_(2)(Hf_(1-x)Tb_(x))_(2)O_(7-x)ceramics were investigated.The in-line transmittance of(Tb_(0.93)Hf_(0.04))_(2)Hf_(2)O_(7.07)ceramics with a thickness of 2.0 mm reaches 74.6%at 1064 nm.The Verdet constant of Tb_(2)(Hf_(1-x)Tb_(x))_(2)O_(7-x)ceramics is-153.4,-155.8,and-181.2 rad/(T-m)at the wavelength of 633 nm when x=-0.07,0,and 0.1,respectively.The Verdet constant increases with the increase of Tb content,and these values are higher than that of the commercial Tb_(3)Ga_(5)O_(12) crystal,indicating that non-stoichiometric Tb_(2)(Hf_(1-x)Tb_(x))_(2)O_(7-x)ceramics have a great potential for the application in Faraday isolators.Lixuan ZHANG Xiaoying LI Dianjun HU Ziyu LIU Tengfei XIE Lexiang WU Zhaoxiang YANG Jiang LI 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,5:0
