| 1 | fMRI time series analysis based on stationary wavelet and spectrum analysis显示文摘The low signal to noise ratio (SNR) of functional MRI (fMRI) prefers more sensitive data analysis methods. Based on stationary wavelet transform and spectrum analysis, a new method with high detective sensitivity was developed for analyzing fMRI time series, which does not require any prior assumption of the characteristics of noises. In the proposed method, every component of fMRI time series in the different time-frequency scales of stationary wavelet transform was discerned by the spectrum analysis, then the components from noises were removed using the stationary wavelet transform, finally the components of real brain activation were detected by cross-correlation analysis. | 2 | Identification of microRNAs in rice root in response to nitrate and ammonium显示文摘Nitrate and ammonium are two major nitrogen(N) sources for higher plants,but they differ in utilization and signaling.Micro RNAs(mi RNAs) play an essential role in N signal transduction;however,knowledge remains limited about the regulatory role of mi RNAs responsive to different N sources,especially in crop plants.To get global overview on mi RNAs involved in N response in rice,we performed high-throughput small RNA-sequencing under different nitrate and ammonium treatments.The results demonstrated that only 16 and 11 mi RNAs were significantly induced by nitrate and ammonium under short-term treatment,respectively.However,60 differentially expressed mi RNAs were found between nitrate and ammonium under long-term cultivation.These results suggested that mi RNA response greatly differentiates between nitrate and ammonium treatments.Furthermore,44 mi RNAs were found to be differentially expressed between high-and low-N conditions.Our study reveals comprehensive expression profiling of mi RNAs responsive to different N sources and different N treatments,which advances our understanding on the regulation of different N signaling and homeostasis mediated by mi RNAs. | Hua Li Bin Hu Wei Wang Zhihua Zhang Yan Liang Xiaokai Gao Peng Li Yongqiang Liu Lianhe Zhang Chengcai Chu | 2016 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2016,43,11: | 3 |
| 3 | Frequency-tunable continuous-wave random lasers at terahertz frequencies显示文摘Random lasers are a class of devices in which feedback arises from multiple elastic scattering in a highly disordered structure,providing an almost ideal light source for artefact-free imaging due to achievable low spatial coherence.However,for many applications ranging from sensing and spectroscopy to speckle-free imaging,it is essential to have high-radiance sources operating in continuous-wave(CW).In this paper,we demonstrate CW operation of a random laser using an electrically pumped quantum-cascade laser gain medium in which a bi-dimensional(2D)random distribution of air holes is patterned into the top metal waveguide.We obtain a highly collimated vertical emission at ~3 THz,with a 430 GHz bandwidth,device operation up to 110 K,peak(pulsed)power of 21 mW,and CW emission of 1.7 mW.Furthermore,we show that an external cavity formed with a movable mirror can be used to tune a random laser,obtaining continuous frequency tuning over 11 GHz. | Simone Biasco Harvey E.Beere David A.Ritchie Lianhe Li AGiles Davies Edmund H.Linfield Miriam S.Vitiello | 2019 | Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1: | 2 |

| 5 | Evaluation of the weakening behavior of gas on the coal strength and its quantitative influence on the coal deformation显示文摘The coal strength and deformation properties are key factors affecting safe coal mining and highefficiency coalbed methane(CBM)development.In this paper,reconstituted coal samples are chosen to investigate the weakening behavior of gas on coal strength,meanwhile,its effects on coal deformation are quantitatively evaluated.The results indicate that the weakening degree of gas on coal strength is closely related to the confining stress and gas pressure.Compared with non-gas-saturated coals,the maximum weakening ratios of adsorbed gas to coal strength are 10.58%,18.12%,8.55%and 14.65%under the conditions of confining stress CS=3 MPa and gas pressure GP=1 MPa,CS=3 MPa and GP=2 MPa,CS=4 MPa and GP=1 MPa,and CS=4 MPa and GP=2 MPa,respectively.Furthermore,the maximum weakening ratios of free gas to coal strength are 18.27%,36.54%,14.79%and 29.58%,respectively,under above four conditions.The maximum coal bulk strain decreases as particle sizes of coal powders increase,and it has a maximum value of 0.0227 and a minimum value of 0.0191 in particle size ranges of 0.01–0.041 and 0.5–1 mm.Under the same conditions,the coal bulk strain increases with increasing gas pressure,revealing that coal deformation properties can be enhanced by gas. | Haijun Guo Kai Wang Yuchen Wu Hanlu Tang Jianguo Wu Lianhe Guan Chenyang Chang Chao Xu | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3: | 2 |
| 6 | Terahertz emission from localized modes in one-dimensional disordered systems [Invited]显示文摘We demonstrate terahertz(THz) frequency laser emission around 3.2 THz from localized modes in one-dimensional disordered grating systems. The disordered structures are patterned on top of the double-metal waveguide of a THz quantum cascade laser. Multiple emission peaks are observed within a frequency range corresponding to the bandgap of a periodic counterpart with no disorder, indicating the presence of mode localization aided by Bragg scattering. | 15 | An Influence Maximization Algorithm Based on Improved K-Shell in Temporal Social Networks显示文摘Influence maximization of temporal social networks(IMT)is a problem that aims to find the most influential set of nodes in the temporal network so that their information can be the most widely spread.To solve the IMT problem,we propose an influence maximization algorithm based on an improved K-shell method,namely improved K-shell in temporal social networks(KT).The algorithm takes into account the global and local structures of temporal social networks.First,to obtain the kernel value Ks of each node,in the global scope,it layers the network according to the temporal characteristic of nodes by improving the K-shell method.Then,in the local scope,the calculation method of comprehensive degree is proposed to weigh the influence of nodes.Finally,the node with the highest comprehensive degree in each core layer is selected as the seed.However,the seed selection strategy of KT can easily lose some influential nodes.Thus,by optimizing the seed selection strategy,this paper proposes an efficient heuristic algorithm called improved K-shell in temporal social networks for influence maximization(KTIM).According to the hierarchical distribution of cores,the algorithm adds nodes near the central core to the candidate seed set.It then searches for seeds in the candidate seed set according to the comprehensive degree.Experiments showthatKTIMis close to the best performing improved method for influence maximization of temporal graph(IMIT)algorithm in terms of effectiveness,but runs at least an order of magnitude faster than it.Therefore,considering the effectiveness and efficiency simultaneously in temporal social networks,the KTIM algorithm works better than other baseline algorithms. | Wenlong Zhu Yu Miao Shuangshuang Yang Zuozheng Lian Lianhe Cui | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5: | 1 |
